Can't find my legit brady guide, but I did find my Vana'Diel Atlas which was actually pretty useful before I discovered online map sources
I actually used my Brady Guide quite a bit for mob levels, before finding allakhazam.
Brady Guide was also cool for quest and mission info before wiki was around.
Somepage was pretty awesome for searching stuff before FFXIAH came along with its power search tool.
Spoiler: show
It was really sad to see the site degrade into what it did, for a long time somepage had like the best comprehensive database of food effects and recipes gathered from jp databooks.
It also had a listing of all the crafting recipes at the time. Those were the only things it was good for.
The most lol worthy thing from the guide I remember was probably, and I'm paraphrasing here, from the section on Samurai: "Samurai's may feel the call of the great katana but you should consider using other weapons such as swords and clubs."
I think the best part about Brady guide was that it recommended taking a chocobo to jeuno for your first trip there...
I sincerely hope someone scans it.
I think I threw mine away after the dog got a hold of it. The cover came off and shit just looked like junk on my bookshelf. Sad that I did now.
I'll have to dig through a few bookshelves when I get home to see if I can find my old copy.
I have 2 copies, but no way in hell I am spending time scanning it lol.
Warrior/White Mage gets to start a Warrior on healing magic before reaching Paladin at higher levels. Thus, this has the side bonus of preparing people for that extra job"Red Mages aren't usually taken as a support job because of their somewhat limited Magic Points. As a support job for a Monk, this is even more pronounced, yet a number of people are very happy with this duo. One reason may be the truly one-sided way that Monks deal with most problems by walking up and hitting monsters until they collapse. With a Red mage, enfeebling magic is possible. A Monk who can enfeeble and exploit enemy weaknesses can still be effective."An Elvaan Summoner/Black Mage is a great choice for those that are interested in playing a mage with good hit points and the ability to cast some wonderful spells. With this combination, they can cast some powerful attack spells, summon avatars, and still take more damage than some other races can.""As stated, Warriors aren't in a group to do damage of a serious nature, but are relied upon for taking damage and protecting others."Taru look deeply impressive and disturbing as Dark Knights. The shock factor alone is almost enough to compensate for the low Hit Points and Vitality.Elvaan also come naturally to any fighting profession. With their high Strength and Dexterity, Elvaan can takes the hits and pound out the damage, and an Elvaan Samurai is a sight to behold going against monster.10/10, would read againNIN/RDM: A rare choice, there is more here than meets the eye. Red Mages have enfeebling magic and self-enhance spells that Ninja lack.
Lol, when I leveled smn as a subjob back in the day of whm/smn, before sch and when dune parties were still a thing, I did this actually just to get out of healing, because nothing angered me more after leveling whm to 75 than being told as smn/whm "healing magic ok?" Like just what I wanted to do again lol, is play a gimped whm."An Elvaan Summoner/Black Mage is a great choice for those that are interested in playing a mage with good hit points and the ability to cast some wonderful spells. With this combination, they can cast some powerful attack spells, summon avatars, and still take more damage than some other races can."
Brady Guide suggestions for subjobs for Monk. "Strange and interesting" (Huge pics in spoilers)

This part doesn't exactly suggest taking a choco to Jeuno but it does gloss over it in favor of telling you how nice it is if only you could get to Jueno to begin with.

Levels of pet rarabs in Buburimu
Spoiler: show
lol, that escalated quickly.
Didn't the old brady guide suggest Tonberry agro by scent? It's been a while.
The one thing that stuck with me with the Brady guide is that they recommended Mithra for a DRK because they have naturally higher AGI to attack faster than other races.
