I have a question regarding this: I bought the game via steam too (had the game for years and years but had to re buy from steam when my computer crashed and I lost my WotG CD) but the game is all installed on my computer. I preordered via Amazon for the expansion. Is there going to be a problem when I install the download?

Shouldn't be. Just need to direct the installer to the SE folder if it doesn't detect it automatically. Steam version of XI is identical to the retail XI client.

Thanks. I was just confused as to pancake's post since he too had a steam version. Are there different types....? I guess I was wondering why not just buy the ultimate seekers package from amazon then.

No different types as far as I know, other than Steam just setting up the registry entries and downloading it itself, rather than offering you an installation package like other sources.

My preference for the steam version is due to the cd keys being easily accessible via steam, and I like managing my pc games via that. I'd rather not mix and match, but as it was said above, there should not be a problem. Steam version doesn't actually have any steam DRM on it, hence not needing steam to open it.

I mean actually it's the US POL site, not NA as a whole... Canada doesn't even have one specific for them (you have to go to EU site and click francais for French afaik). I guess whoever posted the info was doing all the site versions at once and just copy/pasting the event details section from last year and somehow left the French details on the bottom.

I guess they got their languages SCRAMBLED. Ya.

Same deal for Canada's Amazon too, except the one listed on Amazon.ca is the Xbox CE. I'm just hoping they're in the process of adding them, and we'll have the rest soon...

I haven't actually tried yet, but my plan was to just buy the digital release off Amazon.com. I checked the Canadian Amazon site but as you say, they only have the 360 edition listed.

Already tried to pre-order it and Amazon.com wouldn't allow me to. Says:

Having low defense is going to cause you to take significantly more damage, the simplified comparison they used is having 250 defense against 1000 attack enemy would have done 200 damage before, but 400 now? I believe it says 1H pDIF cap will be adjusted to the same as 2H. And we need to wait for adjustments to defense down effects (thanks.. >.>).

Embrava and PD changes will be implemented. Embrava looks the same as it is in Salvage at the moment, PD is 30 seconds + 1 second for each 20 Summoning magic skill..

Levels of monsters in NNI will be adjusted based on floor number. 1-19: Lv.-10, 20-39: Lv.-7, 40-59: Lv.-4, 60-79: Lv.-2, 80-100: no change.

Legion mobs / Odin II's defense, attack and HP are being lowered.

They're deleting more useless phrases from the auto-translate dictionary to make room for Adoulin terms. They will be expanding on this over time.
