So, you think it's logical that Monks take little to zero no extra damage from Counterstance nuking your defense into oblivion on powerful mobs? Currently, since mob cRatio has a lower cap of 0.5, having 1 defense or 500 defense is exactly the same on top tier mobs like Ig-Alima and Legion, which is extremely counterintuitive.
Things like Last Resort, Berserk, and Counterstance will actually have risk to them, instead of just being something to spam as soon as the timers are up.
Monks and pup are also not included in the 1 hand buff as well. And unless they severely nerf the default down on counterstance I fail to see how 150 defense is gonna save me from super hydra hitting like a semi truck.
Where did you see that h2h wasn't included in the buff?
When the buff to 1 hand was originally mentioned they stated hth was not included I'll look for the post hold on
Pretty sure the H2H not being included was only referenced when talking about the potential of adding a merit or some such that would cause your main hand weapon only to have increased ratio cap, because H2H has properties of dual wielding but is only equipped in the main slot.
In general, H2H have been their own entity with consideration of how skill literally adds to your damage rating. I wasn't of the mind MNK (primarily) or PUP was so pitifully behind that such attention was required, but maybe this is just a case of buff envy.
There is no reason to think that h2h wouldn't be included. MNK really isn't very far ahead of any other 1h.
Call me a tin foil hat monk, I'm just a little worried about hth update 2.0 were they will Fuck up the dps math and hth will be capped at something stupid like 250 dmg for weeks again.
If you that concerned about mob pdif just bring a bst. Actually might be a good idea anyways
Well, with deadline for Embrava being dead in two weeks, guess that means I can stop trying to get cape off Ix'MNK. 1h buff I'm curious to see what it'll mean for my BLU on both fodder mobs and VW-level of stuff.
30% emnity reduction from weapon damage at lvl99+ seems a tad small though no? It'll just mean a few more seconds before everyone is capped, unless they forgot to mention a higher emnity decay also with that article.
Thought it meant enmity gained post-patch would be 30% of present, thus a 70% reduction.
Yeah the slycer translation says to 30%. Also you gotta realize that dps is going to drop a bit with embrava loss. And a lot of jobs will have to chose between lowering their damage or taking more which will cause more hate loss
Good ol' reading comprehension an hour after you wake up...
A 70% is definitely more interesting. Was there any word on whether its an emnity drop on all forms of damage (including nukes), or just weapons?
They also got those elemental tier recast/dmg/int-mod adjustment to do still also.
I would assume all damage. Otherwise longer fights will inevitably translate to mages tanking, especially with hate resets involved. Plus it'd play more nicely into the eventual magic adjustments if nukers wind up casting more often.
It just said damage. I seriously doubt they'd go to the effort to make it so different forms of damage had different enmity calcs. Though only c5 getting lowered as far as cures go.
