Probably have to talk to the waypoint NPC first in rulude so it will be like ToAU where the tenshodo was packed with people waiting to trade their coffer key.
An exclusive NA post purely to tell Saevel how wrong he is. I raffed.
Same. A guy who is paid to be nice basically insinuated "hey. you. yeah you, elf. you're stupid."
Ok, right.
But you can't use any of the current warps until you unlock the endpoint. How are we doing to unlock the endpoint in a city we have no other way of getting to? My point is simply that to think we are all going to be able to warp straight to the city the very first time with no effort seems antithetical to the way that SE normally jerks us around.
I mean, 48 hours from now we will know. I'm just going to be shocked if I can talk to Anastase and the npc is like "Hey! Wanna go to Adoulin? Click here!"
Oh sheet just saw from the no dicussion that they confirmed there doubling the dmg cap wasn't just an example but actual amount....
oh that one..
i guess so.
but it doesn't seem likely that you can just waypoint to Adoulin the first time round.
if its not by traditional transportation means its most likely to be cutscene based somehow.. or they warp you or something (like ToA if you pay a huge sum and they just dump you there)
The last time you had to do a quest to get into a new expansion zone was ToAU. WotG you just walk into the maw. Abyssea you talk to the dude in port, then walk into a maw.
There may be a quest, sure. But let's not act like there 100% has always been hoops to jump through to get into the new expansion zones.
I dunno. From a lore perspective, I think they could pass it off. Remember Adoulin is already full of waypoints, and the Researchers from Adoulin came over to the Middle Lands specifically to bring over the waypoints (based on the story on the website a few months back). Stands to reason that we would just be able to warp from those waypoints straight to Adoulin.
While I would imagine the waypoints to be active and not need tuning or whatever I'd say most likely we'd still have to at least visit them or at least visit some representative over there to get premission to use them on that continent or some random reason why we can't do that right now besides breaking the 4th wall and telling us to buy the expansion
Actually, when beginning the waypoint quests the NPC tells you that they could have ships or airships going back and forth between Jeuno and Adoulin to set up a beneficial trade route, but that they're unsustainable options when waypoint technology exists. He's in Jeuno along with that small crew in the other towns to check if the Middle Lands has sufficient magnetic whatchamacallits to set up that deal. He also mentions that geomagnetrons are what allow the transport between waypoints, a key item that is currently already in the DATs but no one has found yet.
My guess is we won't be able to go directly to Adoulin. There will likely be some sort of small prerequisite, as there has been for every single expansion we've had. It most likely has to do with the waypoint quests, or the NPCs in the different towns that are involved in the waypoint quests, or to which degree you've completed attuning yourself to the geomagnetic founts or subsequently fixed the energy flows in the 4th quest.
Could be quests and then a cutscene for our first voyage. Then more founts
Acouple of JP posts today, mostly minor ones and a post from Matsui. Looks like RNG's scavenge getting an adjustment along with the recycle adjustment?
Did he mean you can give even more buffs to 99 weapons through nonmagian quests?
seems so. I'm all for it, cant wait to see what kinds of upgrades we're talking about here. probably just more D/ACC/ATK/etc and nothing interesting tho
