Didn't the developers say something about bringing back the Evolith system?
I'm saddened my aegis can't get more mdt
Evolith announcement made me sad because I just threw away my Shinku Togi I'd been holding for years because I'd given up hope of ever using it again.
Also BUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now I HAVE to upgrade my Bravura to 99... Ugh. This is gunna suck.
I'm glad they're going to take a look at pet damage, but they're probably going to bandaid it with more powerful pet enhancement armor for the master. Oh well.---[[Question saying that Automatons will become weaker since they are left out of the attack/defense ratio adjustment.]]
With Earth Maneuver, if you don't have to worry about defense, the damage potential is increased.
On a different note, for pets and in general in the future, even as more formidable foes appear, the players' level cap will not be raised.
In other words, while you can use equipment to make up for the difference between the strength of players and monsters, the difference between pets and monsters cannot be made up in the same way (since you cannot equip a pet with equipment), so we will need to make future adjustments.
And yeah that earth maneuver thing doesn't make a lot of sense. Earth Maneuver itself doesn't do much but add some Vit, you can use Armor Plates which give -pdt% with earth maneuvers, and there's also Schurzen which functions kind of like that Pokemon move where they survive with 1 HP no matter how hard they're hit.
well lets hope you can grow your own archaic gears in your moggarden for alexandrite ¬.¬
I'm going to grow Lofty Gallu and farm Ormolu ingots!
Maybe he meant "Earth Maneuvers will be useless because your puppets will be made of paper, so you don't have to worry about wasting a maneuver on earth! Damage increase!"
It's nice they mentioned REM adjustments along the line somewhere. I was starting to think they just didn't really care because they wanted to focus more on adjustments that affect everyone and basically just throw in relatively unremarkable changes for REMs at some point (Like the 95->99 jump had a percentage increase on WSD rather than them sitting down and looking at what was wrong with each individual weapon). If they make it so that we can actually customize our REMs with the Evolith system, I think that'd be great- you can make that REM weapon truly yours depending on what they decide to throw on as potential augments. Hopefully at some point they'll look at the damn weapons individually still, because a lot of them still have flaws that can't be fixed regardless of what you add from Evoliths.
I haven't kept up on Mog Resort so I'm not sure I understand its purpose. Is this supposed to be a second Mog House of sorts with higher customization, or is it some kind of relaxing HELM hub?
Looking forward to what info we get in the coming months.
I'm confused a little in that the official translation of the RME post is saying:
Slycer's translation says:We are not planning to enhance relic, mythic, or empyrean weapons via Trial of the Magians or through other methods.Am I misunderstanding something, or is there a mistranslation somewhere? For Relic / Mythic / Empyrean / Coin weapons, we're thinking that they will be strengthened by other means than Trial of the Magians.
I'm hoping it simply means rebalancing the weapons i.e altering some aftermaths for Relics, adjusting the additional effect proc rates and priority(Gungnir's 17% def down overwrites Angon's 25% def down) and maybe changing the retarded mods on relic ws to more useful ones; no more MND/CHR mods or stupid AGI mods for weapons with jobs that suck at those stats.
Welp, went to look at the JP post and the official translation seems to be the right one. This makes me quite sadface. Gonna have to see what these so-called specifics are but there's a lot of weapons that arn't going to be saved unless they totally revamp them or something.
Confused, does this mean there are going to be adjustments or not?
inb4... wait for it... wait for it...
Spoiler: show
Nah, they'd make you trade all 3 weapons in to get a new JSE weapon. For the jobs that don't have a relic, you need to level a seperate 99 job that can wear the corresponding relic just so you can trial it up, which will go double for RUN and GEO since they won't get Empyreans either. That's the solution to yesterday's lore post- one of those weapons is the mythic and the other is the super ultra shiny weapon!
He's being vague about it. Says he doesn't plan on enhancing our weapons through magians or any other system but he doesn't want the level 99 weapons we've worked so hard on to become obsolete and that he will post the specifics later.Confused, does this mean there are going to be adjustments or not?
