Did I just read that right or did they just basically say they consider blu more of a tank then nin?
I think they didn't consider nin main at all lol, they just had to gut rdm tanks enmity from all angles, before people mistakenly started using that job for anything.
It's funny they think blu tanking is acceptable at the same time thou. SE logic.
Serious question, not trying to be a smartass but who honestly uses rdm/nin for any content now a days outside of maybe solo? I haven't seen that used in years.
aw shit, sounds to me like SE likes BLU tanking
If the smn hate issue is as bad as some people are saying, rdm/smn tanking in the future. Call your pet, cast haste, and the mob will be all over you.![]()
I'm of the mind RDM/NIN and its history is exactly why SE is content in skullfucking the job at every given opportunity no matter how insignificant the combo may be now.
It's history of a handful of people using it do the same thing as pld/nin, before they realized they could do everything with dd tanks more efficiently?
Yeah, personally I'd say PDT/MDT is the most important set for BLU after TP sets. I'd even put it above WS and Phys. Spell sets if that's what's necessary to make room.
I wouldn't put a pdt/mdt set over ws/phys spell sets lol. You can still do most content that a blu is worth using on without them.
Not to mention that a blu can keep most mobs practically stun locked?
Ehh, I mean 5 sets isn't too hard to carry around anyway (TP WS Phys Spell PDT MDT) and there's lots of overlap in gear. I swear I have like 10 different sets on my BLU at all times, heh.
I usually put PDT/MDT pieces above phys spell tweaking though. I have a base phys spell set that's mostly Blue magic skill and STR and I don't put things like mixed STR/VIT pieces or AGI pieces over PDT/MDT. Just a personal preference I guess.
