Summoner is not getting hate from resummoning pets but from issuing BPs. The issue is still with the pet bleeding any enmity it can aquire. Instead of lowering enmity for the master they should really focus on making the pets stronger like they should've years ago. We'll see if there's something in the job adjustments but I have my doubts.
the way I read it is: they dont adjust BLU magic enmity values (compared to other spells), because blu has a limited vary of spells to deal with shorttime hate they get during fights, in the sense of: if you want to survive when you get hate you better set some dmg mitgation spells. I think thats the logic behind it.
It's not about the damage avatar does from BP:Rage, but the JA itself (you pressing /pet "Predator Claws" <t> macro) having too much CE/VE hate in comparison to how much hate can avatar get and hold in 45s by the time your BP timer is up again.
Try walking to an unclaimed mob (preferably something lv99~ in adoulin) pressing /pet "Shock Squall" <t> and seeing how long it takes Ramuh to pull hate off you.
That's interesting, I was always lead to believe that the JA it's self also generated zero enmity. Now I am confused as to why they didn't reduce the enmity on BPs as well.
Hopefully because they've realized that it wouldn't solve the issue. No matter how much enmity is generated you'll still end up in the same situation because your pet is losing all the enmity gained anyway. They can only make it slightly better by reducing enmity but the real fix needs to be elsewhere.
I'm still surprised that they're reducing enmity on PUP JAs that shouldn't generate any to begin with.
The blood pacts don't generate enmity. The issue is that your pet has 0 enmity by the time you're able to BP again, and initiating a BP counts as taking an action, much the same way a mob will face whoever hit it last when multiple people are sitting at the cap.
So the BP it's self doesn't actually generate any CE/VE? (I didn't think it did).
Few posts on the JP side, follow up for SMNs on the Enmity post, looks like there will be an adjustment? Also seems to be another partial maint soon for another bug found in Wildskeeper's reive again..
Unless I am mistaken, they are saying that SMN BPs do generate 1CE, which is much more consistent with my experience.
They say they may change the BP activation to 0 CE assuming you already have 1 CE, but that it might take a while because it's a system adjustment rather than an ability adjustment.
The second one is a post about the glitch that happens if you raise near the end of a Reive and get nothing.
Won't changing it from 1CE to 0CE still not change anything? Assuming, as Obsidian says, having to characters performing actions both at floored enmity will mirror two characters at capped enmity.
The difference is that BPs generating 0 CE will mean that avatars can pull hate back even with a "miss" melee or BP.
With bst|pup (and I assume smn without using BPs), if you don't perform any actions on the mob (or enmity generating pet commands), and stay out of range, you won't even be on the hatelist or targetted at all, even after hate reset moves, unless the pet dies.
Maybe they're saying they'll make BPs not even tag the hatelist, so it doesn't break pet-only fighting like that?

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.![]()
my japanese isn't good enough to read the post on SMN enmity..
but the current situation is that the act of using a BP does actually generate hate, probably 1 CE or 1 VE. the blood pact itself is hate-free for the master, but normal mechanics apply for the avatar itself.
0 hate BPs would make a huge difference in maintaining hate off the SMN in situations where avatar cannot hold hate, typically it used to be against really hard hitting mobs, since the avatar would lose hate much faster by virtue of damage - now its pretty much every EM+ mob. 0 CE/VE would mean the mobs won't even turn when the pact is issued and avatar hate is minimal, which would be favorable for SMN, even if its a slight way.
edit:
they mention for reasons of claim hate issues and pet links and what not, if im not skimreading wrongly, it means that CE+1 if mob doesn't already have hate on the SMN, but +0 if he does, or something. also, that this isn't a job ability adjustment but rather a programming one.
they also mention something about considering enmity loss for SMN and BST pets in solo situations, and reducing enmity loss for pets when they take damage. *coughnaysayerscough*
but i prefer Slycers translations.
Slycer where art thou.
