Personally I kind of hate when the version update notes released on the day of the update are 100% exactly what they posted before in the previous teasers. I kind of like it when they throw in treats that weren't mentioned (like when they randomly give PUP Asuran Fists, or randomly buff certain JAs/WS etc

We've still got Friday at least. They usually sneak in one last tease right before a monday update. Hopefully it'll be our Geo and Run gear. Also new automaton parts!

I've been asking for a slime pet for friggen years. I'd love something with that much physical resistance.

It does sound nice, but avatars have as much physical damage resistance as slimes, and they don't really stand out as good tanks. Granted, that may be due to lack of damage output, enmity generation, and Snarl. I'd be afraid that if they did give us slimes, they'd have no good TP moves and low DoT.

Fluid spread and Fluid toss are both strong physical TP moves. Snarl and the ability to heal your pet would make them very resilient against physical damage, unless they gave a very likely nerfed PDT version.

Looks like fun but...need wildskeeper clear to access. Yeah....hopefully that price reduction is coming and is significant.

Is that implying you need Skirmish titles too?

while that is true, a BSTs potential with a slime is much higher than avatars currently have.
    - BSTs seem to have more pet:DT/PDT at their disposal, which cut damage down all that much more.
    - there's Reward, which is infinitely more powerful than any curing tool that only SMNs can use to keep avatars alive.
    - I believe jug pets have more HP than avatars as well, but i might be wrong on this one.
    - a TP move like Digest would probably help in keeping it alive a little. Fluid Toss for damage, but if it cant DD enough, theres the master with Snarl.

in this sense, in the pet world, jug pets are kinda like meat PLDs.. avatars are RUN.

    edit:

the Delve stuff looks pretty complex. It seems like they're gonna be confrontations or planar rift style fights.
what interests me more is that the gear system appears to be pretty indepth.. almost like a ToTM for gear..

also, considering they mention that players need to clear Naakuals and skirmish first, it seems like they're trying to enforce some kind of event progression

Which is unfortunate because as it stands now Naakuals are too bayld expensive and skirmish pieces are very gil expensive, meaning only super hardcore players as opposed to hardcore but less available players can access this new content. Soooo many goodies require a lot of bayld too that you almost feel damned if you do if you want to spend it. i sincerely hope this update will see more venues to acquire skirmish pieces and that reduction in KI cost.

I think there isn't really any excuse for people to not get Naakual wins, Skirmish on the other hand is pretty exclusive unless you have a lot of gil to burn.

    true that.
i'm hoping its better when they lower Naakual entry requirement.
they make it seem like a requirement but it feels as tho as long as you've tried it you can give Delve a go..

alternatively it might just be that Delve is a bit of a gear check in that if you don't have stuff from Naakuals and Skirmish you're gonna have difficulty clearing. i don't see how the system would block you off from it right now. cos in future when there'd be more naakuals, then wouldn't the barriers to entry for Delve go up?

Seriously? I do imps daily (2400+) and do a few revies here and there but I am still sitting at 50k. Now I only play around 3 hours a day and with ls events, RUN leveling, and other distractions, it is really hard for casual players to get the massive amount of bayld for the events, let alone wait for a group to be killing it.

Yes, extraordinarily easy to get 100k bayld which guarantees you a strong rare/ex item. I'm not sure what the best bayld/hour you can get is, but you shouldn't have a major issue getting at least 15k an hour if you're not lazy. Obviously you have to put time in to get gear, this is less of a time investment than t4 ZNM were at 75 even.

If you can get 5 reives done a day with an average of 3k per reive you can get 105k in a week. Even less time if you dedicate more to it.

thats also heavily dependent on whether your job works well with reive evaluations tho.
i have to bring BST cos SMN does really badly there
