Perhaps it's because I don't have any relics, and my Empyreans are all 90'd, but I do not understand all this rage. The whole point of the game, as I see it, is to upgrade gear. What's the fun if you're just sitting around in the same crap for eight years? It's fairly obvious they want everyone to start on the same page in Adoulin. Mythics have never been completable, relic prices were already crashing, and Empyreans are going to get very difficult to finish as people move away from Voidwatch. Aside from increasing base damage, what can they do to make new weapons attractive? The weapon crafting market has been dead for years now because everyone can go make an Empyrean in a weekend. Should they just tie new uber weaponskills to every new set of weapons they release?

I just don't understand why people want to play this game using the same stuff for the better part of a decade. I guess that just makes me a gimp noob.

Well you described the reason why you don't understand in your first sentence. I personally know 2 people who are about to finish a mythic, and someone who just finished his. Something completely obsoleting them without even the slightest warning and then the possibility that they won't be upgraded is a horrible feeling.

The whole point of the game, as I see it, is to upgrade gear.

The people who have been playing the past year or so have been doing precisely that with almost all the focus being on their weapons.

I don't think anybody minds new weapons to try to close the gap and stuff, or new forms of weapons that are of their own class, but they just added AH weapons that just totally annihilate what people have been working on for the past year or however long.

The problem I have is not so much the REM issue but that these weapons completely trivialize everything else in this game atm except for Delve. Tier 2 Limbus and Einhejar and PW events are still challenging to complete but not difficult for an experienced group. These weapons will completely destroy those mobs. I mean, it is nice to keep upgrading to improve but a lot of fun will be gone from this game when x player just brings his 280 dmg weapon to annihilate the mobs of old.

Maybe SE should think of capping damage for lower level mobs so that the high DMG would only be useful for the newer content and lower level content will not be completely decimated?

How does one obtain these super weapons anyway? Apologies if its been mentioned already, haven't been keeping up on the XI section the past few weeks.

Also as an Aegis owner, I'm not as mad about these for relics but I feel for friends and ls members that have Amano, Apoc, and Mandau. I'm a bit upset about Ukon being outclassed though, however my non-empy or relic gs drk, can't get the new gs fast enough.

Whilst these weapons are AH weapons, I don't think that's really a fair representation of them.

Even if people could kill the Delve Naakuals to craft them, it's not like they are going to be cheap. They're probably going to be more expensive than Relics unless they become easily killable. I mean it's not like you'll be buying them for 1m from the AH.

Well how much are you expecting then? Lets use the gsd as reference:

That comes down to scarleite and the horn. No one really knows yet how loot on the stronger delve mobs will work just yet. Also difficulty is to be determined since its been 2 days...still have to figure out gimmicks n shit. Are you implying the horn will wind up costing 100m? Id say thats unlikely. We still need people to kill one of the bosses to see what kinda loot pools were dealing with before ascertaining prices.

Someone already has the buyable dagger in the Delve thread. The update was Monday. By the end of the week, a lot of ls will have people with them. They may not be the superweapons but they are better than anything in the game.

Considering they completely forgot mythics, I'm still going to expect either a damage upgrade of aftermath on other weapons(lol).

If the horn only comes from the Delve Naakual and is only killable by a select few then yes I envision it being 100m (See: AV Drops back in the day which were far less an improvement). People are opportunistic. I know for a fact that if I was in a group capable of killing it and nobody else could, then damn straight that shit would be priced ridiculously high.

If there's a monopoly on the items then that group will get to dictate price. People will pay the price because they are the best weapons in game.

Judging from the screenshot on Guildwork (1 million plus damage dealt in the Delve parse, Naakual at 98%), I don't see these being killed anytime soon unless there's a gimmick discovered that massively weakens them. Granted some of that damage could be from the other NM's killed in the zone (2 of them), it was still only at 98% after 15 minutes of hacking away at it going off comments posted on here and Guildwork

EDIT: Unless of course you get multiple horns per kill or everyone in ally gets a horn or something. Even then, they aren't going to be cheap, just won't be more expensive than relics.

If this is actually what they go with relic owners are dead in the water unless they give the bonus of aftermath, I'm pretty sure a few of the Emp WSs would still be fantastic even without aftermath, and mythic owners just wasted 300 mil.

I am thrilled by the possibility of using my Ryunohige as a stepping stone to being able to Drakesbane with a new polearm.

Honestly the nature of the response is more bothersome than anything, it just shows they don't understand what's going on at all if they think offering the WS is a workable solution in any capacity, and then Matsui actually went "oh right" when someone pointed out that doesn't even apply to Mythics/Coins.

well I would expect to offer WS + aftermath on Relic (+WS dmg boost) and EMPy weapons, and Aftermath + WS dmg boost + augments on Mythics. Otherwise it would make no sense.

ok i know its because of the double/triple damage, acc+ and the increase in crit hit rate, but god deal with that its not like you lost resolution.
