If the base damage on RME is only after you get 99, and I'm sure it will be since it makes sense, I hope they revamp the stupid HMP trial. VW is never going to be more popular than it was when people were spamming the crap out of Qilin, and even then only a handful of people per server bothered to finish one (1) empyrean to 99. I don't see how it will be possible for everyone that hasn't finished an empyrean to 99 to do it when plate price will likely rise and supply will plummet even more. And it looks like relics and mythics with unlocked WoE ws will be way to go for most jobs anyway so ancient currency and alex prices will also go back up making them the better options to farm gil (as opposed to Qilin etc.)

So yeah, if they don't drastically up the drop rate on plates, add them to relevant content, or lower the amount required to something sane, I foresee most empyrean holders tossing them in favor of WoE versions and Delve weapons.

SE hasn't mentioned unlocking Relic WSs, so it's up to speculation whether or not they'd be unlocked with their +40% damage.

They mentioned it, specifically saying it wasn't happening anymore.

Hello, it's Matsui. Thank you for all of your opinions about Relic, Mythic, Empyrean, and Coin weapons (hereafter, RMEC). They were very helpful.

After reading all of the varied opinions, we have decided that rather than unlocking the weapon skills specific to each weapon, a reworking of RME weapons would be more effective (for coin weapons, more information will be provided later, but we plan to allow these to unlock the dedicated weapon skills).

It seems pretty clear that only Empyrean weapon skills obtained from WoE weapons will be unlocked.

You won't be getting empyrean AM without an empyrean. WoE versions just give you the WS and absolutely nothing else, I don't know why you'd suddenly get the AM just because you can use it on any weapon.

Yeahhh. Ryunohige is going to become ridiculous, considering every scenario I could draw up had it holding up quite nicely even before these changes

Related: Byrth, what do you use for comparisons pertinent to current content? I've taken to using Ig-alima as a subject with whatever comparison I'm using involving sushi/pizza, overshooting accuracy by quite a fair bit no paper knowing that it ends up being ~accurate hit-rate wise against NMs

Am i the only one who thinks its kinda messed up that a huge majority of people were able to run through NNI and claim a Thaumas Coat etc with relative ease, just for SE to patch it and the remainder 10% gets screwed over with a impossible mission to obtain the item? Really SE? the damage has basically already been done, all your doing now is irritating the people who will never get a Thaumas Coat now by making it near impossible to clear floor 100. Similar issue happend with Relics.... Everyone and there mom has one, except for some people who maybe were {taking a break} during that time, and now they missed out... if you think something is too easy to obtain, but the majority of users have already abused the system, atleast patch it to where its still moderatley possible to get the item. I dont care so much for the Relics, as i still see they are at the right difficulty to obtain (assuming their stats get fixed post Delve update)... But Thomaus Coat and other Top tier items of NNI are basically impossible to obtain now.

Get delve's weapons and armor -> go back to NNI -> choose fl100 -> win.

I agree and dissagree....

I camped Sozu for THF knife for MONTHS literally.. to get a drop... never left the room except to kill PH's.... and a few months later what does se do? they make THF Knife obtainable by everyone in a matter of minutes....

They have invalidated several months of hard work on other items.... I wouldn't doubt they will do it again... afterall the weapons are "old"

Plus going by what Matsui is saying, the Delve NM bosses are the hardest mobs in the entire game and peak of the content difficulty. I don't think anyone will take one down for a very long time. Heck has anyone gotten any boss down more than a few percent?

Me personally.. I think everything from 2006 back should be invalid. Shouldn't log on a game 7 years later and people still wanting d ring. Still wearing adaberk.. I bought a bmw in 2005 I worked hard for it.. I got a new bmw now.. U gotta move on.. I was one of the first NA on my server to get relic and its a joke now. People that couldn't afford scorpion harness now have relics..

The funniest thing is skirmish weapons actually look better than delve weapons and now they are irrelevant.
