    I know SAM is the low-hanging fruit to bash but DRK, BLU and DRG have gotten equally as many buffs as SAM has since 75.

    The difference is probably that Sam was the only one of those that was considered good already. Drk had a tanking niche but it wasn't widespread.

    new 2hr:
    SAM: Become invincible to TP moves, and get ws dmg+ for every avoided tp move
    DRK: steal TP
    BLU: cast multiple unbridled learning spells
    DRG...cant remember, cant find it on the forums.

    DRG's new two hour got scrapped due to universal scorn along with several of the others. It was going to be 'improves wyvern's stats for 3 minutes' or something to that effect though.

    DRG was double wyvern HP and some sort of invincibility for your wyvern for 90 seconds.

    30 seconds of 100% DA is more reasonable than 60 seconds. You only really get 29 seconds due to JA delay and will probably use 4 WSs at most. Increasing WAR zerg potential slightly isn't really breaking anything considering that they're already pretty much zerg kings. It does make you wonder whether SE genuinely intends to let this 2-hours stack, though.

    White Mage 2-hour needs buffs. I doubt SE will ever make it full status immunity and repeat their PD problem, but 2 minute of charm and dispel immunity would be very useful.

    Black Mage 2-hour will let you land proc spells better (even enfeebling!) and maybe even Stun against stuff like the Mantis. I wish BLM had another use, but it doesn't.

    Blue Mage is in an uncomfortable position where they just have to trust SE will some day add the spells that make their 2-hour useful. Welcome to Ternary Flourish Land. Population: 2 Jobs.

    At least they aren't in the position of, say, red mage, where they have to trust SE will some day add the spells that make their job useful.

    To be fair, DRG's new SP "Rouse Wyvern" wasn't a 'bad' ability but the thing is Spirit Surge is already a mixed-bag 2hr. It's a mini-Last Resort/Benediction/Meikyo Shisui/Mantra. It only lasts like 1min 15seconds and the main allure of it is the 25% haste bonus, which isn't much time considering Last Resort does the same and lasts for 3 minutes.

    Rouse Wyvern reportedly did the following, for those that don't know:
    -Fully Heals Wyvern
    -Removes all ailments from Wyvern.
    -Resets the recast of Smiting Breath/Restoring Breath to 0
    -Halves the JA recast of both Smiting/Restoring Breaths from 60sec to 30 sec
    -Wyvern is immune to damage(TP moves have 'no effect').
    -Healing Breath potency is virtually doubled.
    -Elemental Breath potency is virtually doubled.
    -Attack Speed/Damage/Accuracy are probably increased.
    *Unconfirmed*: Copies all buffs from the DRG to the Wyvern.
    *Unconfirmed*:Grants a level 5 parameter boost to wyvern if the Wyvern hasn't already been boosted from Empathy/EXP.

    So the ability isn't 'bad' it's actually pretty good on paper just not for zergs and not for current NMs. If current endgame NMs didn't have something like Breath Damage Taken-95% then with this 2hr, wyverns would be pumping out 700-800 damage breaths after each DRG ws(could be construed as Weapon Skill Damage +30-50% for the DRG since breaths activate on WS and an extra 700-800dmg per ws from breaths count as +DRG's dmg in my book). Unfortunately until they fix breath damage taken by NMs, breaths under this 2hr in legion will probably do like 150-200 instead of the 700-800 they do on regular mobs.

    Also I see what SE was going for--Spirit Surge is the DRG's 2hr, and Rouse Wyvern is the Wyvern's 2hr. I would like it more and I think most DRGs would agree with me that the new DRG SP shouldn't rely on the Wyvern and should simply boost the DRG's damage directly. My original idea for DRG's 2hr was to simply make all of DRG's attacks/jumps/ws maximize pdif or simply ignore all defense or even attack*2. Ignore defense 100% would be awesome since lances are meant to pierce defense. Not only that but it would give DRG something we've always needed, a god damned attack boost for zergs without relying on Berserk. Ignores All Defense for 60 seconds would be just what DRG would need for hard NMs and if attack didn't matter for those 60 seconds we could load up on other stats like pure STR during a zerg.

    The way you say it Ophannus certainly makes the new ability sound great. Its a shame the breath damage holds it back. Ultimately, this new ability would not work with the shared timers because well...you lose your wyvern lol.

    As for the new info today, very encouraging. Upping the MB cap to 10 with the next expansion of the Burrows and up to 15 with marks should make the content much more doable than its current state. It is also encouraging to see they plan to improve the new SPs further.

    Spirit Link already does the first two things. 1 Empathy merit means spirit link fully heals your wyvern to 100% without taking any HP from the drg as it forces a level up.
    Although a perma-deep breathing thing would be kinda cool if you get in trouble whilst solo.

    It also has the potential to be nifty for zergs where wyverns are likely to be killed, which stands to diminish the quality of Spirit and Soul Jump.
