I was really happy with r/e/m being outdated, keeping them up to date w/o any work will just kill everyone motivation as I see a lot of people "I'm not doing anything atm they will make my wpn best again soon".
This X1000, once you know what to expect those NM really aren't that bad.
I just want to keep using Mercy Stroke ;; also it's still the prettiest dagger...
I'm hoping (and have always) that rme will be difficult to upgrade and I wouldn't be against the idea of them only being sidegrades to current Delve gear (assuming later releases would surpass them, just not by 100dmg)
I'm fine with RME not being the best weapons in the game anymore, but the gap was a little huge. Especially since you can farm out a delve weapon in a day or week as long as you know competent people. Most of the delve weapon also look like crap. I know they'll keep adding new stuff and probably eventually make "real" ultimate weapons akin to RME of old, but for now everyone is running around wearing what looks like lvl 15 weapons and it's pretty dull.
Unless they make a new way to get HMPs cinder/dross I'll probably be leaving my empyreans in a locker since the supply has all but dried out and it's never going to pick up to a feasible level since it was crap when VW was the only damn thing to do.
Should just up the rate on currency drops and white proc so that 95 relics are easier to make. People that solo up their weapons still are gunna get cockblocked by marrows so whatever.
Relics aren't easy enough to make?
Spoiler: show
Love my Cata drains.
Relics were a joke to get already, not understanding the distinction. Any scrub can get in a few weeks, and scrub can get in a few days; splitting hairs as far as I'm concerned
Regardless, the new bigboy weapons existed to reestablish the feeling of superiority. Let scrubs have their NQ weapons, get bigboy weapon, lose no self esteem
That's why non scrubs will get megaboss weapons. Everyone just has the new 85s (base delve), upgraded to 90s, the true gamers will get the 99's (megaboss).
I'm not mad one bit that everyone has delves, since I know i can get the megas.
If the megaboss weapons were half as cool as relics, mythics, or empyreans then I might agree with you guys. However, they aren't. The ultimate weapon for each job shouldn't be some generic piece of shit.
Like, I hope you enjoy spamming Merit WSs with really high base damage weapons and no aftermath?
Mhm. Quite frankly my group isn't coordinated enough to handle a boss yet, and I still welcome the barrier. The idea that we were going to have particular content available only to the best groups again was kind of exciting
Edit: I can level with you on that, Byrth. Lack of specializing elements is kinda' disappointing
They were never really "hard to make" in the right way, either. Right now it's just a dreadfully long time sink that'd be relatively unappealing for new blood to make without some kind of adjustment to pre-Adoulin steps. Though, I'm also of the mind the other magian trials should see upgrades and early step reductions on mass mob kills since SE caved to the RME whiners. Would help with the issue where some dual-wielders are complaining that while they might get a delve weapon, their off-hand is a far gimper skirmish weapon or worse.
Yes, nothing in this game ever was/is/ever will be hard. It just require[s/d] the right amount of time/thought/preparation/people/coordination/weight lifting/brofisting/trips to the mall/drinks.
Are people ever going to stop arguing the point of difficulty as though it's relevant?
I'm of the hopeful side that Delve weaps will continue to receive further rank upgrades, and eventually ending up with an Aftermath of their own (make the type of aftermath based on upgrade path chosen or something). Mix things up by requiring something less easily obtainable than Airlixirs for ranks beyond 15.
