I'm guessing they will approach it in the MMM sense where it starts out with just some unique costume/furnishing/whatever random items, and maybe later on in its lifespan they add some sidegrade items. I mean, they're probably not going to add Delve-quality gear or anything.
FYI, no other translations to add. Only other post with any kind of information was Fujito's post which really was just a couple screenshots which appeared on the NA forum early today. Official translation of Monstrosity post appeared on NA forum as well within the past hour or so.
1handers, ranged and handtohand adjustments are gonne flip the job-tiers upside down
If anything this should bring blu mnk and dnc near the top or at the top, with the adjustment to blu-magic base dmg being enhanced this looks very delicious for blu
Maybe I'll actually be able to hit crap now on PUP. Job has a lot of dex.
If you weren't hitting crap before, you were doing it wrong. But yeah, my TP set has something like 103+75 DEX
is 30 Attack/Acc really going to have that much of an affect on the rankings? You're pretty much Acc capped in any situation that matters anyway, and 30 Attack is miniscule compared to your total.
I thought the only reason why 2handers had the 75% stat modifiers was because dual wielders get the benefit of using 2 different weapons to give themselves MONSTROUS boosts? Like 99 Almace is 20DEX but then you can offhand a Shikargar that also gives 11 STR and 22 Attack. So you combined stat total for using those 2 weapons is 20 DEX 11 STR 22 Attack. No 2handed has stats like that(not counting SOA shit because you can DW even crazier weapons now).
They gave 2handers grips to kind of sort of let 2handers have more flexibility but can you really compare DW+3% or STP+4 to offhanding another weapon that gives such a drastic boost as STR+11 Attack+22?
I had completely forgotten Despoil even existed before I read that.
Judging from our parses at events, I can't really see 30 Acc/Attack making a massive amount of difference anyway. Obviously it's a nice boost but it isn't game breaking or anything
Wow didn't know RA was getting the boost as well.
I think this is going to matter much more than 1H weapon boosts. Rangers already stack a ton of STR/AGI for crap, so this is more like +40 RAtk/RAcc for them. That's not an insubstantial Acc boost, and RAtk is pretty much directly correlated with damage so that's nice too.
The rationale they presented at the time was mostly about attack speed. (source).
I wonder what the reasoning is for increasing the MP cost of Blizzard/Thunder when they seem to have moved all the spells much closer together in terms of damage.
So then if 1handers get the same attriubute boost as 2handers AND get to use an offhand, then wtf? Yeah 1h weapons have lower base damage but if you actually calculate the dps, theyre the same as 2handers. Their damage:delay ratios are proportionate to 2handers the only thing that suffers is their weapon skill damage I guess. I dunno I always felt like grips were extremely weak compared to an offhand weapon. Even at 75 I envisioned HNMs dropping r/ex grips that had like Str+5 Attack+15 Double Attack+2% on them. Just to put 2handers in line with freaking Ridill offhanding juggernaut.
