Looks like there's a new skirmish post on the JP side with adjustments.
Also new Mog Garden pictures:

Awesome, we get mithra slave children to tend the garden.
Qiqirin fishing off a crab, and child labor. What better way to start the morning. :D Wonder if they'll go into details regarding their plans for Skirmish II, very interested in how it will shape up the event as a whole. Been hoarding obsidian fragments, bodies, and legs incase it comes out as a 6 person way to get some competitive gear.
Sorry if my previous post sounds whiny...
All I'm trying to say that I felt that Matsui has focused on wrong things?!
Also, I believed I didn't say I want him to fix everything at once.
Enmity, Avatars, new 1hr JA etc is example pointing out what they left halfway and jump over to something else.
They could have get all these "leftover" work completed IN MONTHS before they do new adjustment?!
Now that enmity haven't finished adjusted. What are they getting onto?!
They are getting on item level vs exp mobs.
Tbh, who really care with exp?!
Looking at how many different we are gaining exp...
Campaign Battle, Ops
Abyssea FC, Ops
Coalition Assignment
VoidWatch...
Sometimes, I have my merit 30/30 over for 2years or less... Even with swapping my Merit WS here and there, in couple days, my merit back to 30/30.
Again, I'm trying to say, they could have save the time to adjust item level vs exp, and start working on something better for game.
p.s. I'm reasonable person, they can take their time to fix what broken. I just hate to see that they are wasting time on the wrong thing. (To me item level vs exp gain is wrong to me, apologies!)
In all honesty: stop
granted the enmity change/fix/update isnt there where it should/would/can be, its a step in the right direction. They are focuseing exactly on the right things: new content (delve, new areas, skirmish 2.0 etc), Job adjustments of new jobs, and system changes/fixes/updates that are broken (like that atk/def update, enmity update etc.)
I think Matsui knows very well what he is doing. Delve is very well thought out and excellent compared to recent shit we got the last 2 years (Voidwatch Legion Nyzul etc.). There is no luck involved considering drops (you can buy them all), they are well thought out battles you cant just zerg mindlessly without good preperation of your ally and without very good members, and there is no time restriction, you can go anytime you want. You can even lowman farm points if you have the KIs to buy items.
Yugl's rough translation on Skirmish 2.0 is pretty interesting.
Edit: Derped on the weapon type. Read Slycers official post for more clarification.
The armor bit is interesting. We are getting 5 sets so this will more than likely fall in line with Salvage sets:
Heavy Armor (DRK, PLD, DRG, WAR)
Light Armor I (MNK, SAM, NIN, PUP)
Light Armor II (BST, THF, RNG, DNC, COR, RUN)
Mage I (BLM, RDM, SCH, BLU, GEO)
Mage II (SMN, WHM, BRD)
Again, Item level 112 for max augments would put this above max aumgnets for Delve armor which is item level 110
My translation's up now. I'm working on others too, there were a few posts. Skirmish one was most important though.
@Yugl, waakusu = "works" = coalition. They call them Works in the JP version.
Only annoyances I see with Skirmish II is it sounds like Ghastly Stones will be useless except for players just coming into SoA content (which maybe they can be sold to, as they're becoming transferable) and that previous augments are a wash, though that was to be expected with their limitations on augmented items.
Considering the content lvls that things are falling into, Skirmish II weapons should beat Plasm weapons (though likely not Delve boss weapons). Very curious how they will handle the augments this time. Skirmish I augs were rather lack luster, except for those mythical JP wiki augs listed that no one ever saw. Dual wielders should see quite an increase regardless of which comes out on top though.
Very excited for 5 new armor sets. Being that Skirmish is lowmanable, spammable, and as long as they do the simulacrum drops correctly, rather cheap, it should give us more to strive for other than plasm farming to gear better for boss runs.
Wonder how long they will release content in reverse like this, giving us additional options to gear from to better prepare for the bosses. I kinda like the idea behind it really. Release something super hard for the hardcores to race for, while containing meaningful upgrades/progression for the masses, then focus on releasing events that better gear everyone, making those boss attempts easier for the top end players to farm, and a bit easier for the rest of the player base to follow suite on.
Pretty excited about having a little bit of variety instead of spamming Delve all day!
Also, what do you suppose the groupings for the new armor will be?
Will we see the return of MNK/SAM/NIN/PUP groupings? I've always liked that armor look.
It really depends on the Max Augments, but Skirmish II is still going to be one item level below R15 Plasm weapons. The upgrade path for Skirmish might be a lot easier than the delve weapons though.
I actually like this idea but I think SE apologized for releasing content with such a huge gap as it wasn't their intention. Their model does make a lot of sense as you do content at a certain Tier, get gear/weapons from that Tier, and then move onto the next tier. They want players to progress as follows
Bayld Equipment v1 > Skirmish v1 Weapons > Bayld Equipment v2 > Delve Armor > Skirmish v2 Equipment > Delve Weapons > Delve Mega Bosses
13 > 14 didn't you know? lol, got em mixed up. But yeah, with them being that close, it definitely comes down to what augs are available, and as you mentioned, the cost needed to upgrade. Plasm weapons have a definite cap that we reach after tossing enough plasm/gil at them, while Skirmish II weapons (assuming they keep the same aug system as tier I) are more or a lottery system.
More armor sets already? Can't wait for my Salvage group to further kick themselves in the leg when the last remaining worthwhile pieces get replaced....
I stopped trying to motivate myself to get more active in Salvage when some of the most worthwhile pieces(Usukane+1) started coming within a few% of fairly low rank Manibozho gear
I can't wait for the JP blogs to post pictures of gear with false augments on them and people go ape shit. Hi2u 10% WSD great sword.
