Seems on course for new job introduction. Even more so with all the other stuff they doing and then doing something totally different for af system and ya know making it actually good lol
Completed translation of that post, check out the last couple sections if you want (nothing really important). Also, one more post to get through about content level again, although a lot of it looks rehashed.
Edit: I suppose the fact that we're not getting a new roadmap is "interesting."
I was holding off on getting Oatixur hoping r/e/m update would be in the near future. The lack of r/e/m update in the short term version update timeline has me thinking those updates will happen near the end of the calendar year at the earliest. Guess I better just bite the bullet and track down a horn and tooth while I'm at it.
I'd expect delve 2 with the rest of the weapon types getting there ra/ex awesomeness before rem update. After all gotta give us a reason to do those first. Kinda like skirmish before delve
Well, still upset about the artifact delay but looking over the notes, there is going to be a lot more to do in the game from July to August with new areas and quests. I just hope early August is first week August. Skirmish II will become the new delve for a while and as long as the pop items are easier to farm, It should be loads more fun than plasm farming...
As far as I am concerned, the most important part of that post was the lack of RME changes until at least September.
At this juncture, I kind of hope they introduce better weapons in the same update they beef up R/M/E's or at the very least make it so you have to clear all current content to get them upgraded. Second option being preferable.
My only gripe with the current best weapons is that the craftable ones look so plain.
Sounds like the Bayld gear is being split as well. Mentions only weapons, Pup Animator, and Smn throwing items for July from Bayld, and equipment from Bayld in August. As far as content goes, sounds like the focus won't change much from Delve for July, as we'll only have the new areas and Wildskeeper Reives to do.
I wonder if Mog Gardens will provide enough entertainment/incentive to put much work into it. Having the ability to advance the tiers of the various gathering points and such sounds promising, but if you're still gathering near useless things, what's the point? Here's to hoping it can be shaped up into a useful place to idle at while waiting for events, shouts (hope you can see shouts!), etc.
All things considered, I think its a pretty sizable chunk of additions, even spaced out a month apart. If they can continue this pace for the foreseeable future, I think things will shape up nicely for FFXI in the long run.
Square could do a lot with the Mog Gardens, they could implement a huge gil sink into it, which is needed to help counter how much gil got put into this game when cruor was left unchecked for nearly two years. They could do like you say add in tiers that you unlock better things that you can harvest/mine/raise and eventually get to materials that could make scarletitie ingots and ormalu ingots and so on and so fourth, more synths to bridge the 100 - 110 gap because we all know that is a very painful jump >.>
To wager a guess, new armor will be unlocked at coalition level t lvl 5 in August and this will be the gear that can be augmented with Skirmish II. It's odd we have a delve Summoner item and bald summoner item because you have to figure the delve item will be similar to the alternator for PUP. I reallllllly wonder what weapons they can introduce at this time to match delve weapons and mega boss items. They have set the bar too high and I feel skirmish II weapons will already cover the distance between delve and mega boss weapons ( for example, rigors are 104 DMG and Oatixur is 144. Ninza +2 is probably going to cap at 130 DMG).
Was wondering when they'd get that in finally.Increase Party Solicitaion Range
The party solicitation range will be extended to allow invites across different regions.
Great, cause it's not like the current 25'ish-model limit for PS2 users is horrible enough for alliance content that involves multiple mobs.Black-out Countermeasures
Configure maximum character displays for all areas to further prevent game blackouts
I'm most excited by new storage slipage
Well, at least Oatixur should last me a while
I'm concerned that the changes to pet Enmity aren't mentioned.
And Cait Sith. >_>
god, wait and see how the new smn items, bst pets and animators for pup affect it.... seriously. Pet enmity is the last things of concerns atm. I would rather have them to focus on new content, new jobs (relic artifact etc) and REM update then silly pet enmity and cait sith, that shit can DIAF.
I want a tomato hat as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure I understand why anyone thinks AF is going to fundamentally change anything about either new job
-You'll want GEO in exactly the same situations as you currently do, albeit they'll perform slightly better
-You'll want RUN in exactly the same situations as you currently do, albeit they don't exist
