Sure hope the new outdoor zones have a different tune that plays through them.

If you are capped on drops, everything they add is only useful for the people that did not already cap on drops. You appeared to realize this earlier when you mentioned the whole "what will people capped on delve crap do once delve is done?" thing.
Also, WAR sp2 only applied to melee hits and required something near melee invulnerability before it was superior to the da 2-hour while they were both up. It also lasted something like 30 seconds, while the new one is 1 minute and decays IIRC.
Unless there's something left off the soundtrack, they won't. I wish some of the zones were left silent though. The BGM for the wilderness works really well in the jungles, for example, but in Morimar... not so much. I think this soundtrack was done on the cheap as it was like half the length of previous expansions' soundtracks.
The expansion itself was done on the cheap, being how it's clearly their side project. I hope they put in some good music for the storyline BC (if there are any..)
I am pritty confident that delve II will be build aroudn with new SPs in mind too, while delve I was not.
Anyway some new SPs could have some strategic use in delve I. SCHs enmity transfer SP comes to mind on hate reset moves.
I am very curious tough what the new GEO and RUN SP will be?
GEO: I can see here only 2 possibilitys, they either add a nukeing based SP that is used to deal dmg. or a reversed embrava with debuffs, basicly one big giant geo-bubble with various debuffs on it.
RUN: prolly a magic dealing Ability that deals magical dmg and builds tons of hate or an ability called "Perfect Parry".
Maybe RUN's could be a magical based invincible for your party.
They changed Astral Conduit to restore all your MP upon activation, which is cool I guess.
But most of the other SPs look horrible and had ridiculously low durations. Also, wtf@ COR's new SP? They were supposed to get a third roll, but instead they give that to BRD, who can already have 4 songs, while COR will forever be stuck with 2? SE even said they were thinking of giving COR a third roll (before all this SP stuff even existed), their new SP is basically a Wild Card -1
Last time I saw a table about the new magic damage it looked like stone was going to be the best ~.~. Anyone on test server know if the dmg is really that skewed in mp efficiency? If so time to get more dmg affinity staves ; ;
Yes and no. If they give me new abilities, they may not be useful right now but they will be in future when they add the next tier of Delve / whatever is the content level above Delve I.
My comment about the content was more a 'What will we do until Delve II / higher content if we are already done with Delve I and all they add is lower content next update?'. It means there's nothing to do for a few months for some people (unless a decent chunk of gear beats Delve stuff). It does not mean any improvements are useless. They just aren't going to be required/utilized until they add content above Delve I if you're capped.
they always leave stuff off the soundtrack, but i doubt this would be it. the wilderness BGM seems likely to be used in all outdoor areas of East Ulbuka. I thought it worked ok in Morimar cos it conveyed a tribal wilderness feel... anyway considering Marjami and Yorcia are jungley, it would likely fit them too.
I actually do like that they reduced the size of the music for this expansion because a lot of older tracks from other expansions can still be reused.
also, love how they unified 'outdoor party/dungeon party/solo in Adoulin' under 1 track. actually hoping they go back to older expansions and make solo battle music the same as party battles
I'm curious why SP2s are taking so long, they were almost all working completely fine on the test server, so unless they are doing some major overhauls to them the only reason to delay them is so they can say "we can stick them into a patch we don't have much content in to make it look like we did more work".
I'd be fine with the former, there's quite a few of them that were really mediocre.
The expansion music always being on regardless of PT or solo is great but not having a dungeon track for SoA is just disappointing. Outdoor music is great and all but nothing indicated shit was going down like an old fashioned dungeon track.
I guess SE would say Reive occupied that slot in this expansion but I was expecting something to rival the TOAU dungeon track. Guess not.
Lack of new tunes is really disappointing to me. Gives things a cheaper feel. It would be nice if they could rectify it with zone specific music later.
i think it'll come in time.. but probably not for the naakual's outdoor zones. maybe the endgame area.. or wherever the 7th naakual is. its an interesting choice they made for Adoulin and its music... like how the two town areas have different music.. and the waterways has its own music...
i guess they wanted to keep Ulbuka's musical feel uniform.. just untamed wilderness lol.
there's definitely more.. we just don't know how much more.
Probably will be a few tracks I would imagine probably some story related stuff as well. I do like the Adoulin tracks so far haven't had one I've disliked, at least not so far.
I just want to be able to play said new tracks in my moghouse with my jukebox. Sad already that the mog bonaza is making me chose between 2 options![]()
Kinda strange Rala Waterways got its own track when the zone seems useless from launch. Maybe it'll be where the awesome, super, mega, fantastic final Naakual will be located.
Or maybe it'll just be what Pso'xja and Arrapago Reef were.
It's a Skirmish zone. I was going to make a Dynamis joke but really, Skirmish (and Delve) is pretty much Adoulin's Dynamis.
