All of the things listed as examples are all good things to keep an open mind to changing/adding going forward though, so I wanna say I trust he'll at least keep things interesting moving forward from here.
Still curious how long they will keep this update pace going. Release > update after 1 month > split update pt 1 after 2 months > split update pt 2 after 1 month. Expansion launch and 3 updates in 4 months is impressive IMO. Now just as long as the quantity of missions/quests isn't absurdly low in these two updates, and the quality is as good as we've seen...
I've got mixed feelings on the Meebles comment. Maybe my server just sucks (it does) but Meebles was a hard thing to really get going. I always blamed 3 things. The retarded sack/grim system that was beyond basic PUGs understanding, the lack of real rewards until the boss run of your tier and completion of tiers/goal 3s, and the fact that the majority of the gear just wasn't that impressive. Kinda relates to our OT posts this morning TBH. Lost track of how many Meebles runs ended with a boss run that give us an elixer and crystal. Even considering all this, Meebles was still enjoyable for a time, and still profitable now.
With what they've referred to concerning the content lvl and item lvl systems though, it sounds like bullshit gear might be a thing of the past (to a degree) as things from specific content tiers should come with stats that a job wearing it at that content tier would want. They don't seem dumb anymore TBH. They know we want to cap haste, they know we want x-hits, they know we want 95% hit rate, etc. I think from here on out, we'll get gear upgrades that keep these things in perspective, and cause us to constantly have something to upgrade to.
