    Yeah. It doesn't really seem so bad anyway considering there are several different jump timers. It also makes more sense from a game mechanics standpoint because when you put no recast on an ability you can then really be at an advantage/disadvantage based on 3rd party tools, lag, etc.

    Anyway, updated with a few other less meaningful posts. For whatever reason they decided they needed to adjust the spawning of Quetzalli (any reason people are still fighting that?), they're not making any changes to Powder Boots (game might explode if all jobs could use them, balance, etc.), and Scout's Beret +2 will be too good once Recycle is added as a job trait (needs more nerfage).

    with each smiting breath doing about 700-800 and each WS causing a elemental breath for 700 as well. They just need to remove breath damage redux from VW/Odin/Legion mobs though for those breaths to do that much(they do 700-800 on abyssea mobs). This makes for a very powerful 2hour especially if combined with Spirit Surge's 25% JA haste and +25ish STR bonus. Also a DRG could High Jump every 10 seconds with both 2hrs active and mitigate any and all TP moves. (Tested in brenner about 4 years ago, my 213 damage High Jump under spirit surge removed 300% TP from a SAM who just activated meikyo shisui, if we can do this every 10 seconds or so, can severely cripple a mob's TP generation especially alongside a DRK using their SP2 as well.

    I guess some people that reactivate/new players might bother killing Quetzalli if they're too lazy to go hunt Clionids, so adjusting him to be easier to find might be appropriate.

    The Scout's Beret +2 response makes me laugh, it's like they forgot what they themselves added to the game...oh wait.

    The Powder Boots adjustment delay makes me scratch my head though. What possible way is there to "exploit" that? Movement speed impacts pretty much every single job the exact same way.

    What the fuck is this "variety of equipment"? Theres no "variety of equipment", theres the best in every viable situation and then theres the rest.

    Makes sense that they'll adjust it, though. TP+5 on 90% of hits is equivalent to what... Store TP +25 or so average? Kinda broken.

    That being said, their post is pretty non-committal, they're just asking for more feedback. Didn't say they were nerfing it for sure, just suggested that it seems too strong. It almost sounded more like the opinion of the community team guy than an official response, but I can't really tell.

    oh, believe me, I'm fully aware such a thing would be kinda broken and really would need to be adjusted. I was WTFing at them basically saying "we dont want to force everyone to use one piece of gear because its the best thing available". Do they think everyones TPing in Thaumas Coat because its pretty? Everyone in 2007 camped kings till the break of dawn because E.Bd was a stylish piece of gear?

    Surely no coincidence that this info comes on the heels of the blinkers nerf. Sounds like either there was an explosion of activity recently that forced them to take that action, or they took more action than usual once they went ahead and put the nerf into place.

    6 billion gil doesn't touch the amount generated by blinkers, so if they're going to ban for that then it still has yet to happen.

    the amount of banned accounts is tough the same as pre months... so yeah 4x the amount of money on the same amount of accounts gives you an idea how much inflation is around

    This. Five players total on Fenrir generated double that, if not more.

    TH Post - Mocchi is explaining that the odds of leveling up Treasure Hunter depend on the currently applied level and the TH level of the Thief (including gear), which we already knew. He doesn't give any specifics, so the post doesn't really help us at all.
    Materials post - We're aware that the supply of material for hexed synths is insufficient but don't intend to do anything about it until the next expansion, pretty much?
    Macros - We aren't going to make the macro system better because of the PS2.
    Petrifacts - I have no idea. I get the impression they're changing something (maybe) or at least saying they'll think about changing something in the future.
    BLM SP2 - The real duration will be 60 seconds, not 30.
    Riftdross/Cinder - We aren't adding new sources of Riftdross/cinder. It's economics, stupid.
    RMT post - No, that wasn't the only reason we changed it (seems like something gardening related).

    DRG SP2 - The thing they posted yesterday assumes Jump timers are not split. If Jump timers are split, they'll increase the re-use timer to 15 seconds and the jumps will change as such normally:
    Jump / High Jump - No change
    Spirit Jump -> 90 seconds
    Soul Jump -> 180 seconds
    And Spirit/Soul Jump would stop being affected by Tier 1 merits, I think? Either that, or the recasts they've listed are without Tier 1 merits.

    Off topic to dev tracker:
    I finally got around to starting the tests on this like I said I would. Originally did TK/AA+2/RP+2 fulltime, but TK took forever to kill those crabs, so I swapped to STR Thokcha. Gonna do the same tomorrow, but /ra for TH6 base, then fight with my normal gear. Gonna do a third test with my mule in the same scenario as 2, since her thief is inferior, and see how that affects it.

    I could start posting my data in the math thread now, but I dont know if its worth it without the corresponding data.

    That TH post may have just made my break permanent. They don't want to diminish the value of gear that no one wants to equip? Isn't starting at higher levels of TH a good enough reason to still carry that trash around with you?

    There is an increased probability in the occurrence of TH level rising when the difference between the value of the player's TH and the value of the current TH level on the monster are further apart.
    Seems like they contradicted themselves. If you wear less TH, the chance of TH should increase, but the other paragraph suggests otherwise.

    The DRG jump seems like a nerf? Calcing in a sec.
