considering what kind of a bitch yumcax is to debuff with geo m.acc + and m.eva down buffs, I do think that those stats actually really will be needed for the future. Dont get me wrong I can debuff every delve NM fine with m.acc magian staves and lots of m.acc gear + on me, but yumcax and hurkan are on a total different level. With all my stuff its like trying to debuff delve NMs/Bosses without any of the m.acc magian staves and m.acc gear on. And considering thet the Delve version is harder then the wildskeeper version, D.Hurkan and D.Yumcax will be a bitch to deal without those stats.

Yeah, I'm just assuming that the delve NM progression will be the same as it has been thus far. Originally, before anyone had these new weapons, accuracy was a major issue when they were first released. I don't see any reason for that to change.

Were there any additional changes to the Hurkan/Yumcax gear as well? Mainly wondering about Hurkan's hat and Yumcax's gloves.

Just the DEF ratings were bumped a bit. I'll put all the posts together with the last few translations a little later. The new stuff was obviously already designed with the enhanced stats in mind.

I saw that. That's why I added the caveat of before they adjust relics. While they didn't say so specifically they will add this to them I believe it was mentioned they would have decent ilvl and it is looking like they will be adjusting all ilvl stuff

I am confused by Astralwatcher. I may have missed this, but are the buyable weapons from Delve getting adjusted too? Or are they staying the same? Because if they are staying the same they just made Yaskomo's Pole worthless...

Crafted stuff is getting updated too.

    Sword Skill+63 Parrying Skill+63
    Enmity+15
Thanks for the info :D.. this is interesting indeed.

If these stats work like Ixtab does, combined with new gear, I can't be the only one that thinks this whole revamp of stat organization is SE's plan to cull the universal strategy of "get 8 songs, 4 rolls, and a billion specific buffs to do anything"

Since, if you are self capping attack and accuracy with the new weapons like Ixtab, the reliance on getting all of those songs drastically goes down, potentially to only needing March, and maybe Madrigal if you eat meat.

I'm not sure if this would result in BRDs simply singing less, singing different songs, or maybe even removing one from the group all together.

Why sing less? Just use defensive songs! Gogogo 5 Minnes.

How far back do these adjustments go? Have the bare minimum Adoulin weapons like Traditional or baseline crafted (Tzustes et. al.) received combat skill?

My understanding is that it simply increases the D rating of a spell, which is a combination of the spell's damage rating and the dINT for your target.

Using SE's numbers for reference, I believe the values they give represent the D rating of a spell at dINT=0 and dINT=100:
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...806#post452806

It seems like the major benefit to the new Magic Damage stat found on gear is not so much that you get a major increase on your usual nukes, but moreso that your lower tier nukes are brought up to a much higher level than before. As the lower nukes have a lower D, they benefit more from the Magic Damage stat than higher tiers (as it adds the same amount of D to every damage-dealing spell, someone correct me if I'm wrong) - basically it seems like SE is trying to validate lower tiers of magic by allowing mages to use them as an auto-attacking equivalent, while higher tier spells are designed for burst damage as if used in a magicburst... much the same way melees use auto-attacks and spike their damage using weaponskills/skillchains.

I'm sure a mathologist around here will provide better insight than I can, but that seems to be the direction SE is taking us with this new stat.

Can see it that way. Would just like to see someone hop on the test server with a soothsayer staff or something to see. Other thought is it being like magian staves, just all nukes, absurd as it may sound.

What? No. This stat has already been on a few pieces of gear since the last patch, and it doesn't do that. It just adds base damage.

Not sure whether to believe the current test server stats or Matsui's posted stats (typos do happen, after all), but if the latter is the final version, then Oatixurs serve to gain 5D, 170ACC, and 203ATK vs the current version. SE has an interesting definition of "remaining the same" when it comes to that D value.
