Pretty sure it is since previously they talked about the lvl being used for xp calcs being some calculation based on your ilvl gear if it's higher than 99 instead of your lvl. But sounds like only higher lvl stuff that you find in soa. And really who the heck xps there lol

Only Japan would think there's a need to have a command to make everyone else naked in a game.

A shame it's PS2-only. I could use a command to make everyone naked, as well as turning off crap like that foggy haze in Dangruf Wadi that loves to heat my laptop up.

Going to update my PS2 later and take some pics for laughs with everything turned off, see how some zones differ.

It's been a while since I had to turn of weather, but doesn't that remove fog too?

It only disabled weather. Any zone-specific effects remained on. I should take a gander in Crawler's Nest and see if green foggy tunnel gets turned off after the update, when I can be arsed, because the file server for PS2 NA is god awful slow.

But sometimes you randomly are put next to the mobs you want to fight so good luck with the roulette wheel!!! This is a large part of the reason why I stick with rdm/war type instead of the physically stronger war/war. Sneak/invis come in handy more often then cures lol

Wouldn't hurt to add an option then.

1) Spawn at zone entry
2) Roulette so you don't get ganked by the griefers at zone entry

The posts yesterday were mostly a bunch of JP ONRY bs about some "vana TV" broadcast event that they got that we didn't. I'll look at Friday's post in a sec. (@Ligray, no I didn't watch it, I didn't even know it happened until it was over - is a recording available?).

Edit: It was a four hour broadcast about FFXI (current/future stuff, etc.) that started at 22:00 on 8/11. Apparently it was basically a televised Vana'fest event. Way to reach out to everyone, SE!

Seems there was a test server update? New UI?

Not new UI, though v4.1 crashes when I try to log in now. I think they just opened up Skirmish v2.

Edit: Actually, they note when I log in that they implemented the new UI for Windows. I can't see a damned thing that has changed, though.
