I preferred rdm af/relic more pleasing to the eyes then empyrean. blu as well. Wings on your hat is nice but still liked the look of relic and af better. All I can think of off the top of my head right now

I wonder if the AF with item level will be new sets or just an upgraded (+2?) version of AF. Most jobs use at least 1 piece to macro in for a JA so I wonder if the new sets will still have those enhancements or we'll have to redo the quests to get those pieces again.

AF armor is the most obvious reuse of old assets because AF and AF+1 armor has been mostly irrelevant for the past 3+ years.

Outside of that, though, I'm not really sure what they'd want to bring back that they haven't already brought back recently. Those other Evolith weapons that almost no one ever used were neat looking, and maybe some reskins of old styles that disappeared (like someone was asking for them to bring back some weapon with the Algol model). Can't really think of anything else.
valkyries set (p.abjurations set) looked very nice, wouldnt mind that being reused. I also wouldnt mind another hauberk set in a different color.

Most AFs look however very oldeish/not good compared to their empyrean counterpart, expeption is BLU and RDM. Thier AF looks better then the empyrean counterpart.

I think it's just that if you look carefully, later armor models have so much more detail and little parts to them as opposed to the rather primitive AF. Heck, even the relic armor looks better and that was with just some recoloring.

edit: Note, by artifact I mean pre-ToAU artifact. The artifacts since the early days have all been more well designed.

given that they're rather taken by the nostalgia factor of the original AF sets its quite unlikely that they'd update them with more details no?

All I'm going to say is, they need to fire whoever does the text cropping, abbreviating, spacing and otherwise stat placing on any of the new armor. There's so much empty space in the item description box, yet shit manages to go out of the box, waste an entire line of text or bunch up on one side. It looks like the work of a 5 year old with MS Paint.

Not gonna bother with full translations, nothing super important. Mention of a new setting which allows you to turn off screen shaking for playing as a larger monster like an Adamantoise, and a mention of adding a second way to get the mission key item that requires you to harvest in Yorcia (people complained that it's hard to find harvesting points in Yorcia because of all the people chasing after Akaso).

But the shaking is half the reason I'd be willing to put up with crappy zones to lvl a big monster

Nothing will ever beat the RDM Duelist set but the BLU Empyrean gear looked pretty good aside from the hat that looked silly with the ear-wings. The RDM Empyrean set just had issues with looking very bulky in comparison to the streamlined Artifact/Relic sets.

RDM duelist set is top tier. Probably my favorite looking armor set.

Wyrm set made my jaw drop when I first saw it, but then again it only looks good on Elvaan; but that shade of blue is really beautiful. Dragoon gear was MADE for Elvaans because Dragoons are always tall and very skinny so naturally they look very streamlined in it. Humes look so dorky in DRG gear, they have stupid flaps on the side of their head that make the Armet look like a turban. When Elvaans wear the DRG AF/AF2/AF3 armet, the brim of the visor obscures their eyes for maximum Kain-effect. No other race does that.

Also I've been doing AF+1 Limbus this week in hopes the requirments for getting this new upgraded AF armor are eased if you have the +1 vs the NQ, similar to how AF2+2 was easier to get if you had AF2+1. Hopefully they add individual quests for each job with their own stories and fights instead of a generic upgrade quest. Although my hopes of them implementing quests for 2-3 pieces of Armor(assuming the AF pieces you found in coffers will be NPC crafted and ones you quested will be quested again) for 20 jobs might be too high.

I'm with this guy; Estoqueur (except the hat) > Duelist > Warlock. Creed set is also awesome.

When Creed Set was first previewed I too found it awesome. It really looked like a set of tanking gear used by the elites, very sturdy and such.

I also very much liked Twilight Head and Body, it's a shame they didn't complete the rest of the set. However, due to the colours, it goes somewhat well with Creed Hands, legs and feet.

Anyone else liked the Bale set? While Chaos and Abyss looked alright, I thought Bale looked fantastic and was very fitting, especially the red lines and such.

Bale kinda looks like "what if I made monster hunter armor out of the shadow lord?".

I wish they would do something for thief that wasn't a vest and hammer pants. I was hoping the raiders gear would have a coat of some kind when only the head legs and feet were released.

There are a couple of sets that just look like the head/legs/feet were actually designed before the body/hands and by different people, rather than designed as a whole like you would expect. Thief looked like it was going for the full Assassin's Creed effect, then derped and went back to the belly vest thing. Monk looked like the body would be something closer in form to the Arhat's Gi model, but was then just given another pair of Cyclas- which, while looking nice on their own, don't match the pants at all.

I liked all of the AF3 honestly, they did a very good job on it. I was hoping they would make a new set though. BLU AF1 is still boss !

I like the blu npcs that have 3/5 af1 + sipahi hands/feet. The blu af feet don't match the rest of the set and look like they're made of rubber.

Tantra Hose should've had the Hachiryu pants model. Then that set would've been awesome.
