So, this item storage is welcoming news. From the way it reads, it doesn't appear to be a slip storage approach but similar to Safe/Storage/Locker hmmmmmm.
And who gives a crap about load time, servers are empty anyway

I don't care if I can access it in the field really. 240 is more than enough for bopping around on 1 job. But to keep even just a few jobs geared up now we need a lot more extra then we got. Like another 4 mog safes. Really we've kinda had this problem a lot with a lot of jobs having a good dozen sets but it was mitigated by the fact that each and every job you used had a good 20-30 pieces of usable gear that you could slip. Why they don't just have a 1k storage mog safe idk. It's not like we really need to look what is in your mog safe in the field let alone immediately after zoning each time. Though I'm sure SE will pull some crazy excuse like what if in the time it takes you after zoning to figure out what's in your safe a rare drop that you have in your safe drops to you!?!

Aside from the need to have more inventory in general, one of the issues that they seem to lack in understanding is the need for having more than 80 INVENTORY when out in the field. If we had say, 100 that we can carry around, it would allow for all those situational sets that everyone has sacrificed. I doubt they'll expand it given what they said, but it'd be nice for them to consider a Gobbie quest and allow us to carry more than 80 in our inventory. One can dream right?

I'm not even sure what you're carrying that requires all that. They've done a fantastic job at reducing the number of pieces you actually need to be holding. My main issue lies in not wanting to toss things but having nowhere to put them.

Gonna agree with this. Between Delve and Skirmish gear (as much as I hate the new Skirmish), I've been able to optimize gear sets and actually significantly reduce the inventory required on my mage jobs, allowing me to pull over a few pieces that I haven't been able to use into my inventory (stuff like drain/aspir gear, better idle gear, etc.).

Also, I'm not fond of the item load times on zoning as is, so I hope this doesn't make the issue much worse. It's kind of annoying to go into mog house and be in somewhat of a hurry managing inventory, then have to wait 15-20 seconds for everything to load completely (and then again when you exit). It is stupid that the mog house items and stuff load automatically on zoning rather than when you query them, but that's how they decided to set it up 11+ years ago when they built the game, so I highly doubt they're gonna be changing that. They've said far too many times recently that they aren't going to make quality of life improvements that require any significant reprogramming work.

Its funny because I was typing all that with the notion of saying pre-Skirmish2 gear. The new gear has optimized and simplified our sets dramatically. From a BLU perspective, there are still a good number of sets I wouldn't mind carrying around.

I wonder if the AF weapon will be part of this upgrade, not that they'll beat delve weapons as they'll be IL-109, but they might have some uses(mostly mage weapons). I somehow believe AF+1 will be given a slight break if the base AF is required to do whatever quest/task is needed to upgrade. I suggest ppl start finishing up their AF+1 for their favorite jobs so they wont have to drag their feet with a 24hour wait time between Limbuses. Not only that but Limbus is not instanced so only one party can be in at a time, might be super crowded the first few days if AF+1 has easier requirements than AF to upgrade. Also since it cost a huge amount of bayld to get RUN/GEO AF gear, might wanna start stocking that shit up too.

SMN has the worst AF weapon ever. We don't want an upgrade. Upgrade our damn ring instead.

Inventory load times after zoning wouldn't be an issue if the server wasn't capped at 56k-dialup speeds. They really cannot just let certain data run on uncapped speeds?

Or not reload all of inventory on zone, considering the vast majority of it has no way to change during the zoning process.

I always figured that was more of a PS2 limitations thing, since it seems to unload everything upon zoning. On that note, does it have to do it all at once? Doing it in stages (Onhand -> Sack/Satchel -> Unaccessibles) would go a long ways also.

Porter Moogle in Mog Garden sounds fine I suppose, they should also allow you to trade bronzepieces to your mog garden moogle though.

Man can people stop complaining about pointless things? The carpet is already not available for furniture, who cares if another moogle floats on it?

Silly excuses at any rate. Porter Moogle can be made an option via talking to a Porter Moogle outside MH, and for the technical hurdles for your MH Moogle, there's only what, 5 MH storage quests + Moogle add-on to have to do checks for?

Have the NPCs you used to use to set your MH up for to disable MH Mog or something, at least they'd have a new purpose besides the never-used function of entering a friend's MH.

Since there's no RQT and this seems to fit here because it's related to a recent update...

Can someone please explain exactly how the ilvl gear kills exp after they fixed the initial glitch? Does a mob have to already be a certain level before ilvl gear will cause a penalty? Any and all details to help me understand this new system would be helpful, thanks.

Take all your iLvl gear, average it, and thats the level used in comparison to mob levels, only applies in Adoulin areas.

Item Level shouldn't be affecting XP on any old-content mobs, even if the gear you equip makes them con Too Weak. Only real benefit it has on old shit is potentially less areas where mobs will aggro you.

Would be nice if they showed your average in the equipment screen, since it seems to weigh the iLvl of your weapon more than the armor.
