Yeah "too weak" tomb mages still aggro in Garlaige. The whole system is pretty stupid, I don't know why it matters if you get full exp with ilvl gear on or not.
It's the same crap for a BST also. Mobs that con EP still are a bitch to charm because they're really coming out as Tough or Very Tough. Fucking stupid.
Skillchains also resist consistently against DC monsters now because the weapon skill on new iLevel weapons doesn't add WS magic accuracy like real skill.
I also noticed that stardiver's crit eva- does not land for shit on delve T4~ mobs. Even though it was pretty much 100% land rate(as far as I noticed) pre-Adoulin.
Yeah, they really need to fix the weapon skill/skillchain macc thing. Maybe it will finally get them to fix the bugged WS/blu spells.
Really they need to actually make ilvl do at least 1/3 of the things going up in lvl does since that is ya know the whole point of the ilvl system. I get the disctinct feeling that the people that came up with ilvl and develop gear for it don't play or understand how the game works. Or just put no time into planning it
Also to add to the discussion... magical ws! And probably QD. Also blu magical spells D not increasing or did that get fixed like the physical spells?
It kinda does. It gives you the same +Attributes/HP/MP as being that level would grant you, in addition to any other bonuses on the armor itself. The +240 skill is equivalent to about 38 levels worth of skill, considering it's +7skill/level I believe above 400.Really they need to actually make ilvl do at least 1/3 of the things going up in lvl does
Don't forget the -interruption rate item level skill gives you, as well as utsusemi consumption.
The things I can think of that are still missing are level correction in old areas, aggro (which didn't change between 75 and 99 anyway), new JAs/spells, interruption rate of foe magic (I think), magic skills that aren't related to magic accuracy, and weapon based magic accuracy (elemental WSs, WS status effects, and skillchain accuracy).
I can see them adding new weapons or pieces of gear that have WS/Spells on them like Relic/Empy and Twilight Cloak
Ican see them have no fucking clue to what theyre doing with ilvl
On top of that base dmg for blu magical spells (heck until a couple of updates ago physical too and it's still not really what we need) and magical ws. Pretty much everything to do with macc for someone that can't use the staffs from what you already listed to hybrid casters to qd probably to dnc stuff. Utsusemi for non nin. Lunge and meteor dmg. Like you kinda alluded to potency for spells and such. Sure I'm missing something...
All that compared to them hitting base stats, acc/att for melles, def, meva and macc just for pure mages.... they definitely missed more than half
They already said that certain spells/ja that have depend on Level as a component in the formula will not be affected by Item Level i.e Warcry.
I totally forgot about jas that have lvl compenent lol. Throw that up there too. Wonder if they will rethink magical ws though... I mean here we are litterally doubling our base dmg thereby vastly increasing physical ws dmg but lvl isn't going so magical isn't. Same for blu spells except the physical base dmg isn't going as crazy as our actual weapons. And sure stats are going up so that helps but it also helps the physical about as much too. My wf used to compete with coro... now it's like 2-3k vs 4-5k
Some confirmation that new blue magic is coming in the fall today, and some more adjustments to physical blue magic also.
Regarding item level, there's a write-up on BG Wiki:
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Item_Level
But no adjustment to add effect proc rate...yup
Well shit they actually making it add to blu attack. I am shocked and amazed. And adding new spells... now if only they fixed ones that have been broken for 3 years....
Hello I was wondering if you could maybe think about creating a drg relevant black belt questline style way of building a singular piece from the ground up to have something to work for as a drg?Not sure how reliable non JP community team Devs are, or if they're just humoring us. Still is nice though as job quests are awesome and fun and everyone likes getting free, job related stuff, even if SAM will probably end up getting the most broken reward. We would like to introduce job specific accessories and associated quest-lines not only for dragoon but for all jobs! However, we do have some content and adjustments that are set in higher priority and also there are 22 jobs that we will need to plan for, so please understand that this will take some time.
Also the devs are completely unaware that like a dozen BLU spells have glitched m.acc values.
(Regarding the billionth post in the past 3 years regarding Barbed Crescent/Tourbillion having like a 5% proc rate on level 0 rabbits.
