There's already a delay in engaging mobs after you are raised. So while we can't attack physically, the monster can hit us with aoe.

If it wasn't for the raising delay though you should be able to get out of AOE range or at least decently far enough where the next raise can get you out if you time your raising. ja0 makes getting out of AOE range from raise rather easy as long as the mob doesn't do back to back 20' radial moves
The animation locks are entirely intentional, and unblinkable animation locks are also intentional (they're even a separate action category in the packets). SE is just a little crazy.
One of my pet peeves besides the stupid raise animation is Chocobo jig/II. Depending on how far you're running it can actually make you get to where you're going slower.
Tanaka visits!
Matsui made few posts about bst adjustments. Looks like all rabbit jugs will be able to use wild carrot.
Does filtering effects prevent cure-lock? On another note, they need to unify /localsettings across platforms. I wouldn't mind blinkmenaked that the PS2 has.
Hope he's pleased with how Monstrosity and the UI are turning out, given both were incomplete projects prior to him leaving.
Spoiler: show
Woot jug pets maybe wont blow chunks in soa anymore
Wonder how that macc adjustment will change things. Will Atinian become even more OP, or will the macc be dropped from it, and we'll gain a net boost or stay the same? Will Rdms best macc piece be Tojil's sword? Whm's will be able to up their macc a fair amount as well, above what Yumcax's club allows them to. Was known prior that they were doing this for Drk, Nin, Blu, and Rdm, but to see that it'll encompass all macc now is interesting. Wonder how it'll effect jobs without native skills and being able to do things (Smn enfeebling with sub's magic, Pld/Rdm, etc).
Regarding the Blazing Buffalos announcement today and a lot of previous event announcements that are "narrated" by Moogles, when did Moogles become so obsessed with alliteration? I don't remember them talking like that back when the game started, but maybe I just never took note. Whoever's doing those write-ups comes up with some pretty clever stuff sometimes.
Re: Atinian and other staves/clubs, magic accuracy will surely be dropped if they make the combat skill grant magic accuracy. Probably not completely, but to some low level (50ish or less?) like they did with the magic attack bonus when they added "magic damage." That would keep them the best for magic accuracy in situations where you really need it, while allowing you to use other weapons in other situations.
Nice, now Atinian Staff will get even more MAcc!
Yeah I really don't see them having a stick with enough macc on to literally be as much as you get from taking skill from 0 to capped at 99 <.<
omg casting spells in anything else then staves!!! blasphemy!!!!
Dunno if anyone noticed the allusion to the next set of Reive/Bayld equipment, but looks like it's going to be around item level 110 (Matsui said it was going to be between 106 and 113). I'm guessing like previously, the weapons will appear first (along with the new areas and slightly higher level Reives), and then the armor will appear in the next update. It'd be nice if they just get it all out at once since I'm sure 99% of it will be trash, but that might be hoping for too much.
