I really like this post. SMN has many issues, but solo ability and utility is not one of them.

Dammit Byrth, I went to check out his post after seeing yours hoping for some hilarity, but unfortunately it was just google translate being lame again and Matsui didn't actually compare XI's servers to a bukkake party.
(He was actually saying that raising the inventory limit from 80 would be possible, but the type of work required to re-code the client at this point would be the sort of thing that puts user data at risk of destruction, at least in a way that's never been done in XI's history, so he refuses to do it. In other words, probably should give up on any expansion beyond 80 spaces.)
I forgot to add Waking the Beast (that's was before Adoulin) and the 3 SCNMs battles. The one vs Tzee Xicu the Manifest was almost funny : Two Diamond Dust to get rid of the four elementals and one Flaming Crush which took 60% of his health.
Not that I'm buying soloability is the mark of which pet is better... but have you missed the last couple of updates or you referring solely about random pre soa nms where the bst basically just throws pet food at it until it dies a few hours later? Either way I'm comparing soa content. Fodder that I literally watch a smn 1 shot takes my jugs several minutes and 2-3 peices of food
I know it gave nice base stats but what about the insane amounts of acc/att that alternator gets? I just kinda figured it was more like what jugs got since more similar system. Which barely getting off the acc floor for things like skirmish and delve fodder. Really haven't paid attention to smn white dmg because well who cares what a blm type mob using the poorly scaling pdif system melees when you do 15k magic bps
Edit: I'm not sure how to feel about there not being bukakke and google translate being wrong again.![]()
For what its worth, unless hes recently lvled something else, all his eggs are in the SMN basket. So he probably has all the smn toys.
Matsui has something new today about new battlefields.
Most (but yeah not all and getting legion stuff might be hard now) the best toys are newer stuff right now... but that also means dealing with the skirmish augment system. Possibly getting 2 of some of the armors to get different augments on it. While I do envy how nice of stuff you can add to a job doing that I cringe at the thought of all that augmenting and the associated boring YW runs
Also missed it yesterday but was that a hint at maybe them giving us another bag?
This is out of left field and actually rather intriguing, sounds pretty exciting. Scaling difficulty for a better chance at rewards? Sign me up!

Operation desert swarm, now for ilvl115s!!
@dasva u have to remember tho instead of upping 3-5 sets of yorc equipment for perfect augs, he only has to do one.
OH damn that new battlefield does pretty awesome. Especially the way it's set up that say new players could probably do it and still get the new stuff.... but probably at D ring droprates lol. That was always one of my favorite things about NNI once they fixed the exchange rate. If you could only get together a group that could make 80 if you worked at it reasonably you'd still get your sets after a couple of months. If you handle a bigger challenge you'd get it in a couple of weeks. Everyone can get the gear but still advantages to those that can accept harder challenges
And new storage yays!!!
True definitely some time saving. That said I'm not a smn main but I was under the impression that they would only really go for a full set of pet mab Hagondes for pretty much anyone and then like 3-4 perp ones? Some of those can be substitued for old stuff though a couple are probably still best. And obviously in the end you also want to be getting a decent refresh with your free avatars which is going to be older gear. Either way I'd dread doing more than 1 perfect augment on the same peice![]()
Was just talking to a friend the other night in regards to if they upped the difficulty/remade a lot of the old content, how much additional content it'd create, and how suddenly, with such a simple change, there'd be tons of new worthwhile content. The mission battlefields bit is a bit ambiguous. I wonder if they're referring strictly to missions just for added difficulty/fun, or if they're referring to things like Limbus, Einherjar, Prov. Watcher, etc.
Early in the description they say that the quality of items won't increase from hard mode, only the quantity and drop rate, but then further down they say they're adding in lots of new ilvl gear for it. Could we see a complete revamp of current drops to ilvl based gear? Or was the first mention of no new quality gear from higher difficulty just a derp?
Either way, /excited for sure. Guess that makes it an easy choice of what to stock up on from this login campaign lol.
What he's saying is that within the "hard mode" the difficulty can be scaled. The new high level version of the fight will have new drops, and within that, you will be able to scale the difficulty up or down which will increase or decrease the drop rate/reward quantity of whatever the new stuff is (I'm guessing there will only be two or three steps of scaling, but who knows). The old drops will still be on the normal versions.
Sounds kinda weird but kinda exciting. Now just let me pt with my monsters and I'll be set!
Sounds awesome! Would be nice to revisit old stuff
Matsui: Item Storage Update (Mog Case)
Reading this, anyone else get the impression that this wasn't at all difficult to implement as they oh-so-previously kept saying.....
Oh nice hardmode primals!! Oh wait, wrong game.
Wonder which existing battlefields they mean...
Suddenly, Kraken Clubs and Speed Belts for days
