    I don't see why there needs to be a general HP increase across the board, rather than increasing HP for non galkas (and mp for non tarus for that matter). If legion AoEs are that bad, nerf those.

    Current 99 drk/sam stats for example(assuming this calculator is accurate):

    Galka: 1718 hp / 226 mp
    Elvaan: 1589 hp / 396 mp
    Hume/Mithra: 1493 hp / 496 mp
    Taru: 1273 hp / 693 mp

    It should really look more like:

    Galka: 1700 hp / 550 mp
    Elvaan: 1650 hp / 600 mp
    Hume/Mithra: 1600 hp / 650 mp
    Taru: 1550 hp / 700 mp

    A difference of 150 hp/mp between taru galka, rather than 450ish.

    HP/MP merits should make more of a difference. Something like 50 hp/merit would be ideal and really allow you to customize.

    The problem is that there really isn't going to be any customization when it's probably best to go all HP merits.

    Comparing to the Hume baseline at 99, war/sam:

    Mithra:
    -3 str, +7 dex, +5 agi. Same HP.

    Galka:
    +3 str, identical dex, -3 agi. +200 HP.

    Elvaan:
    +5 str, -3 dex, -6 agi. +100 HP.

    Tarutaru:
    -5 str, same dex, +3 agi. -200 HP.


    Mithra: sacrifice a small bit of str for decent dex/agi bonuses.
    Galka: small str bonus, large HP bonus. Gives up a tiny bit of agi and a lot of MP (relatively minor limitation).
    Elvaan: decent str boost for a small dex/agi loss. Also gets extra HP in exchange for MP.
    Tarutaru: fair size str loss and large HP loss for.. nothing much, on the DD side. Gains extra MP and a decent amount of int (+7), but the value of both of those are fairly small due to the nature of magic damage and the importance of MP recovery (which is independant of race) over MP stores.


    For Tarutaru, I'd probably want to put them on the same str bracket as Mithra (-3) [Hume is rank D; Mithra E; Taru F; so change Taru to E], and set HP to be no worse than -100 [Taru is rank G while Hume/Mithra are D; Taru should be raised to E]. Possibly give them a small dex advantage (+3 to +5).

    Other than that, I can't see any significant changes I'd make to the relative stats. The gains and losses don't seem very much out of line with each other, aside from Taru's.

    I'll agree that the HP gain from 75 to 99 was a bit weak. Generally gained about 20% more HP while increasing levels by 33%. So I'd increase the scaling for HP for levels over 75 by 50% to 100%, to put the HP gain in line with the level gain.

    They could just make HP/MP merits have varying potency for each race so that they roughly equalise out within a 100 ish HP/MP

    Raw stat wise Hume and Taru get a raw deal compared to the rest imo DD wise but its balanced out magewise. Doing slightly less damage isn't a big deal though. Having vastly inferior survivability where it may matter has a far larger implication on overall DPS and thats where the issue is.

    Couple of unique non-translated posts from Camate today. Nothing really informative, but...

    1- Confirmation that RDM will not receive any new unique daggers (...lol?)
    2- Explanation of how scanners work for automatons (lolz)
    3- Stating that Matsui hasn't decided whether he's going to do a letter-type thing (like Yoshida is doing), but he will remain more active from here on out on the forums.
    4- Response to Helel's suggestion to let the new THF SP inflict amnesia if it doesn't steal anything or if the monster has Meikyo Shisui active. ("no")

    As for the HP bonus. They should have the new signet or whatever it is in Adoulin give a 50% HP boost and balance all of the new monsters around that. More HP means more wiggle room so we're not constantly worrying "is this new mob TP move going to break balance?" Old content is status quo and doesn't waste dev time rebalancing, new content has freedom to have legion level mobs that don't fucking destroy us to bits so long as there are no Death Effect moves.

    Actually the post was directly from Camate, so it was a NA question. Check the dev tracker on the official forums, it's one of the most recent handful.

    And yeah, the dagger thing is mind-boggling. Thread is called "Petition to be put back on dagger." I mean... really? The initial post describes how RDM can dual wield relics (Excal/Mandau) but can't benefit because the offhand stats aren't received and goes on to complain that RDM isn't on Coruscanti.

    I told you they got no clue about their game. I mean it's clear that they think that a mythic's AM3 is overpowered. Even if AM3 was overwritable, they would all still suck due to having to build 300 TP every time you refresh it.

    Note: The stat calculator is not completely accurate for MP for Elvaan and Galka, since I never got data on those two, and there aren't any jobs with the same grade that I can use as a calculation substitute.

    Using blm/rdm as a base comparitor:

    Mithra: same
    Elvaan: -100 MP
    Galka: -270 MP
    Tarutaru: +200 MP

    I'd probably bump Galka MP up a grade to make it no worse than -200.

    Taru >> hume/mithra > elvaan >> galka.

    The amount of mp a galka pld or drk has at 99 is really depressing, it's less than 1/3 of what a taru has.

    The gigantic discrepancy between taru and galka hp is a literal balance problem for tuning content, adding a flat hp % multiplier for all players/races would make it worse.

    Well, Murgelis is a Sword, and we're on Almace but not Twashtar (or are we?), so they can shut the hell up before the next piece of RDM gear we get winds up with +5 Dagger skill instead of something remotely useful.

    I wouldn't mind seeing racial stats getting scrapped with the new standard being Hume-ish with slight buffs on top. Just leave it an aesthetic.
