Not looking forward to getting hit for 900-1200 damage noncrit when berserk is up. DDs are gonna have to learn to manage their enmity more now or really rock hybrid PDT sets more often.
or just think about when you use berserk lol why gimp dmg because you used a move to buff. Use it when its safe.
I have a Bravura and 0 fucks to give. Bring me more pain.
The idea of removing level correction would've never occurred to me. But now that it's been stated I'm beyond interested in seeing this happen. This and changing the hard caps with Def/Atk could actually make us give a fuck about DEF, VIT, and tank/utility jobs.
The age of sub /NIN is once again upon us.

Ok blu's it's time to rotate some diffusion Harden Shells!!!
Inb4 new " 'Enmity-' Weapon Skill sets" and hybrid damage+enmity- WS sets.
SuperJump > All! Drg will have its day!
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if SE said:
"With the changes to att/def ratio, we have concluded that we fixed our enmity system. With Berserk and LR up you will get hit for more damage and lose enmity faster. Please look forward to these changes in the next update".
Anyone have any idea what the 1.0 modifier in the below quote is referring to?
Also, with the adjustments to the attack/defense ratio and the level difference correction, weapons that have a modifier of 1.0 will become much stronger than what they are currently.
Maybe that's what they call fSTR?
That wouldn't make sense in context. I'll try to google translate the JP? It seems that sentence didn't make it in to Slycer's translation.
Okay, it comes from this:

In response to a post by The-Greed. It appears to be talking about Main-hand vs. Sub-hand STR->Attack conversion for 1H melee? At least combining a lot of context and a butchery of Japanese from Google Translate.
Post they're replying to: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...000#post393000
Seems pretty technical. I'd like to know wtf they're talking about because it seems very 1H vs. 2H related and actually gets a response.
Walked through it with a friend in game that can read some Japanese. The Japanese guy is saying that using H2H weapons or Dual Wielding is seen as nerfing your damage (compared to using a 2H weapon). He proposes a 1.0 correction for the main hand and 0.5 for the sub hand. The Dev comes back and says that 1.0 might be too much.
I interpret them to be talking about the STR:Atk and DEX:Acc relationships that Camate said they were considering changing for 1H weapons in this post:

For me on Dancer, the proposed changes (that they way won't happen) would be +50 Attack and +75 Accuracy to the mainhand. That's pretty substantial (+12% attack) considering that Dancer's best option in Haste cap situations is to single wield Terpsichore. SE shoots it down, though. I bet we end up with .75 correction (same as 2H users), which would be +25 Attack and +37 Accuracy. Not bad, but not important either. The biggest problem with this change is that it likely won't affect the sub hand, which affects how you gear pretty much everywhere.
in other words 80% acc on the main hand would still be something like 50% sub, forcing up?
really? what good is that doing, we still would have to stack whatever states for the off hand. In other words we would get +25 attack(really 12.5 due to one hand?)
or am I reading that wrong.
