    Yells (6/9)

We have shared yells in Jeuno, Adoulin, and Whitegate. Do you think you could expand this to the starting cities?

The other day I saw a heartwarming exchange. Someone shouted "How do I make a Faded Crystal?" Someone shouted back "Trade a crystal to the telepoints at Dem, Mea, or Holla", followed by a "Thank You".

I think it'd be great if you could expand the cities for yell. It will help those in need in FF11.
Cases like the story you tell and players having other things to do in the home cities does make it attractive to bring yell to them. But as discussed in the past, a concern is server load.

We are considering a way to provide a function similar to yell that would not put such a strain on the servers. The explanation would be technical and I cannot promise a time frame, but when we will report when there is progress.

    Trusts in Parties (6/9, 6/10 and 6/11)

We had a dev post about Trusts, and I will explain a bit further here.

In the future we plan on allowing party member to call trusts, but for the June update we are setting it so that only the leader can call Trusts.

The leader will be able to call Trusts when 120 seconds have passed since the last invite he sent.

These settings were as such to avoid certain glitches with the system, but we do plan on expanding it in the future.

I will answer some other questions:

If the party leader changes while Trusts are out, all the Trusts will vanish. The new leader will be able to call Trusts.

If the party leader sends an invite while Trusts are out, all the Trusts will vanish.

Finally, if the party is disbanded, a party member is removed, or level sync is activated, all Trusts will vanish.

Thus, players should first invite other PCs they wish to adventure with, and then fill in the blanks with Trusts once they are ready.

You will currently be unable to call Trusts while Level Synced. We plan on adjusting this in the future.

As it is when you are solo, you will be able to call Trusts when you have the attention of a monster. Furthermore they will only engage with the player that called them, so they may be easier to use in a party for the front line classes. When the party leader dies, the Trusts will vanish.

Currently you will see the same limitations to Trusts as when you are solo. We plan on making Trusts easier to use, so many of these may be adjusted in the future.

    Nyzul Isle (6/10)

Last December, we made it so that adventurers may enter Nyzul Isle solo. However, clearing is not guarenteed while solo, and we have no plans to adjust this for the moment.

However, some easing of the requirements to unlock Mythic Weapon skills we think would be appropriate. In particular the Runic Key was very important to lowering the amount of points needed to complete the quest. We may consider changing this. At the earliest you can expect this in June.

As for how your floor is recorded, if we change the settings for that we may also change the rules for Nyzul Isle itself, so please consider that carefully when discussing it.

    Skirmish (6/10)

I will expand on some of the changes made to Ra'Kaznar kirmish here.

The increased drop rates will apply to party drops. Individual drops will stay as they are.

The drop rate of the Pulchridopt Wing will be greatly increased. The drop rates of stones (including Wailing Stones) will decrease slightly, but as a whole we don't think it will be greatly affected.

Currently our goal is the make it easier for players to obtain the Pulchridopt Wings and Vials of transmelange.

    Colonization Reives (6/10)

Recently players have been participating in Colonization Reives less and less, so they are harder than expected, so we will continue adjusting them into the future. First, in the June update we will reduce the HP of the barricades and increase their damage taken, so that they can be completed faster. In the July update, things such as the respawn time of monsters, the amount of monsters, and their sensing range are on the table, making it easier for solo players and small parties.

Please wait just a bit longer.

    Job Points (6/12)

We plan on continuing to adjust Capacity Points for players. The players have suggested that we allow conversion of merit points into capacity points, and we have considered such a route as a possibility. Before that though, we wish to add Capacity Points to game content and to increase the Capacity Points that can be earned.

Some players have been having issues with monsters in Doh Gates and Woh Gates. These were configured towards parties in high level armor, so they have very high evasion. Despite the bonuses to EXP and CP from the monsters here, if you are not in a party we don't think you'll earn any benefits. If players wish to gain capacity points using their Trusts companions we recommend you adventure elsewhere.

    Skirmish (6/12)

Some players have been wondering about the consequences of allowing solo entrance to Skirmish, and I will answer some of them here.

    Congestion Issues

We recognize that congestion may end up being an issue if many solo players enter, but we plan on simply observing what occurs after the patch before we take any action. If congestion becomes an issue we will adjust things from the server side. As the purpose of these adjustments is to make Skirmish enjoyable for more players however, we have no plans on adjusting the minimum number of players required as a solution.

    Benefits of forming a party

First, forming a party makes it easier to clear higher level simulacrums for better rewards. It also shortens the time needed to clear. Finally, since Skirmish provides personal treasure, forming a party is more cost-effective for players. We believe the above reasons make it so that forming a party to play in Skirmish is still an attractive option.

Good day, everyone! This is Yoji Fujito, Assistant Director for FINAL FANTASY XI.

I’ve received a notice regarding the June version update from Mr. Matsui and would like to share it with you in his stead.

    ------------------------------------------------

    Matsui here.

I'd like to give you all a preview of the content slated for the June version update.

First, we’ll be making large-scale adjustments to weapon skills. In order to make it so weapon skills that are not seeing very much use have a chance to shine, we’ll be enhancing the power of a large amount of weapon skills.

Related to weapon skills, we’ll also be revamping the calculations for TP and will be increasing the amount of TP gained for every type of weapon. Especially when it comes to weapons with shorter delays, we'll be making it so they can gain larger amounts of TP. We'll also be making adjustments so that one-handed weapons are able to deal more damage over time.

As these adjustments will be boosting the attack capabilities of attacker jobs, we’ll also be adding spells and ninjutsu that will boost enmity for paladin, rune fencer, and ninja. Be sure to check out the party dynamics after the version update!

The next major point of the version update is the various adjustments to existing missions and content. We’ll be making it possible to enter Seekers of Adoulin missions solo and increasing the drop rate of Pulchridopt Wings from Outer Ra'Kaznar skirmishes.

Additionally, large adjustments will be made to wildskeeper reives. It will be possible to add arcane glyptics to weapons and armor rewards obtained through wildskeeper reives, and you'll be able to freely select the augments you wish to add to them. Get ready to start mixing and matching stats!

As for Trust, adjustments will be made so you can summon alter egos while in parties with other players, which will open up the possibilities for parties to challenge content.

While a lot of the aforementioned adjustments were focused on battle, we also have a few new elements in store for synthesis. One of them is a text command that will allow you to repeat the recipe you just synthesized. In a future version update, we will be expanding this feature so that you can synthesize items from a history.

We’ll also be adding new quests, enhancing the UI so you can see your party members’ TP, unlocking new Mog Garden ranks, adding new Records of Eminence objectives, and much, much more.

The version update is scheduled to be implemented on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 JST.

Among the items scheduled for implementation with this version update, there are still some that are currently in testing. Please keep in mind that we may remove certain items from this implementation list in the event that bugs take an unintentionally long time to fix or balancing issues occur during the development process.

    Adjustments to Weapon Skills (6/13)

As some have asked, the power of Ranged Weapon skills will range with the ilevel of your ranged weapon. Furthermore, weapon skills that have been noted with "The attack power of the weapon skill itself will also be raised" means that the weapon skill will have a bonus to the attack stat.

Finally, the level adjustment value of 0.85 that weapon skills are currently put through will be abolished in June.

    TP Display (6/13)

As we have noted in the past, in June the TP display for players will be multiplied by 10, thus giving a max of 3000. It may take some time for us to apply a change like this to all aspects to the game, and in this case we had started it with some pieces of equipment.

Once this change has occurred, it will make it easier for players to see the effects of stats such as Store TP, and in the future equipment can be designed with stats such as Regain +15.

Not sure if this really counts as a dev post, but confirmation that the ranks like "Scouts !" are just a display error, and it's not some new rank that hasn't been named.

I doubled checked with the planner in charge to make sure my understanding of the issue was correct, and he confirmed that the maximum coalition rank is "Legend." The display issue was supposed to have been fixed in an emergency maintenance a couple weeks back, so I'm going to get the QA team to have a fresh set of eyes on it.

In short, please do not try to go for another rank, as Legend is currently the max and there are no plans to add a higher rank at this time.

I'll provide another update when I have more information.

    Trust Pathfinding (6/16)

Can you please fix the pathfinding for Trusts?
When Trusts get stuck on the terrain, it is a result of the AI being poor at navigating some types of terrain rather than a bug. Since the AI s functioning normally, it is possible to fix this by adjusting some of the terrain, but this would take quite a bit of time. We can't promise anything at this time, but we'll report back once we've investigated the terrain some more.

    Skirmish (6/16)

In our last post we indicated that the drop rates of Wailing Stones would not be affected significantly, but based on player feedback we have discussed it once again. Because parties where players may lock lotting on certain items isn't uncommon, adjusting drop rates can affect the recruitment rate of these parties significantly.

Because we wish to make it so that players can comfortably play the content and not make it harder for players to form parties, we may make further adjustments when the July update comes. With this adjustment, Wailing Stones will drop at the same rate they would have before the June update, but Ghastly Stones will drop less often as a result.

    Raising Weakness (6/18)

We announced a while ago that we were looking into adjustments for the timer on raising weakness according the the level of raise casted.

As of now we are still discussing it. The raise timer has major balance considerations so if there are any changes we will bring it to the playerbase.

    WS Adjustments (6/18, 6/19)

I will answer some questions regarding the recent weapon skill adjustments.

When some monsters and the genkai quest opponents such as Maat and Atori-totori use skills that are the same name as the player, they will be affected the same way players have been this patch. However Ark Angels and Adoulin Shadow type monsters are not affected because even skills of the same name are stored as separate data. Monsters that have been affected such as the genkai opponents will be adjusted in the July patch.

Trusts and fellows were affected by this adjustments. Campaign NPCs were also affected, but they will be adjusted in the July patch.

We are also currently discussing changes to pet WS, although we cannot give any details yet.

It was decided that since the status and damage mods on the WS Knights of Round was not particularly inferior compared to other Relic Weapon skills, it would not be adjusted for this patch. Because Relic weapon skills' damage are not affected by TP, players should consider this aspect when choosing which weapon skill to use.

    Records of Eminence (6/18)

Currently there are no plans to adjust the 15-objective limit on players. We consider this limitation to be part of a player's consideration when tackling the content.

The daily objectives that can be completed with trusts is the "Heal for 500+" objective. Because we do not want a situation where a player can safely achieve the objective in a corner of an area, we did not allow this for the buffing objective.

    Dancer Adjustments (6/18)

This patch we have adjusted the effectiveness of one-handed weapons, we wish to continue observing what effects this will have.

We had promised step adjustments in the past, but development for this may take a while. As for sambas, we will continue increasing ways of obtaining job points so you can invest them into the samba category.

We apologize for the wait in bringing you these adjustments.

    Halvung Door (6/18)

Unfortunately, the door in Halvung's Map 1 E-10 still cannot be opened even with the key item.
As you have pointed out, that door may be curious to players but it is currently not accessible. If the area is ever opened for players that door will be accessible for players. Until then I hope you allow your imagination to fill in what might be behind that door.

    Ninja Adjustments (6/19)

Ninja is a job that freely switches between the Yonin and Innin stances, sometimes tanking and sometimes dealing damage. We wish to continue adjusting this job in this direction. The June update adding ninjutsu that can control enmity in both directions is part of this adjustment.

Furthermore an adjustment is planned for August. We wish to add high level throwing items and adjust how they work with the ability Sange. It cannot be explained simply as "High firepower throwing" at this time. When we have a more concrete plan we will share it with the playerbase.

We will also be adding a Wildskeeper Reive Katana in the July update. Please look forward to it!

    Trust Adjustments (6/20)

Our next goal in adjusting Trusts is to add level sync. We hope players will use this to be able to play with their friends more often.

    Crafting Materials (6/20)

As we had mentioned previously, we wished to improve the availability of Tiger Eyes. We have done so in the June update. It appears they may have appeared in a guild shop somewhere. Please go confirm this for yourselves!

We are planning on making the item "Oversized Fang" more available in the future as well.

    Red Mage Adjustments (6/20)

In the Freshly Picked Vana'Diel we had mentioned a new spell, Haste II. In the July update, there will also be other enfeebling/enhancing magic spells for Red Mage. A new enfeebling spell will reduce a monster's physical and magical evasion- through this a red mage can affect the resist and hit rates of the entire party. It will be introduced in an upcoming topic, so please look forward to it!

    Two interesting posts from Camate:

    Greetings,

This feature is still currently in-development, but I wanted to share a bit more about this, as I’m sure it is a very welcomed feature that many are looking forward to.

Put simply, this feature will allow you to swap out an entire gear set with only a single macro line. It’ll be possible to create multiple gear sets, so for example you could make “Gear Set 1” your battle gear and “Gear Set 2” your town gear. By indicating which gear set you would like to swap to, you can change up to 16 pieces of equipment with one macro line.

Additionally, if you obtain new equipment while you are out on your adventures, you can easily update your gear sets to add it in and it won’t be as time consuming as the macro editing process up until now.

The team is working full speed to implement this feature in the August version update.

    Greetings,

As an overarching theme for job adjustments we are planning to make attack adjustments to damage dealing jobs based on monk’s current attack capabilities.

One aspect of this overall adjustment plan was the skill chain and weapon skill enhancements that gave samurai more power.

    Warrior
Compared to monk, warrior’s hit per hit strength is slightly lacking as an attacker, and the development team feels a need to give them attack power that is more suitable and in order to do this they are looking into a new type of system.

    Puppetmaster
We’ll be reducing the damage gap between each of the weapon skills performed by automatons and make it so you’ll be able to better control your maneuvers to match the attachments you are using.

    Beastmaster, dragoon, and puppetmaster
To give a rough overview of our plans for these three jobs, we’re planning to boost the combined damage over time capability of the master and pet so that it is greater than that of your standard damage dealer as there are certain costs associated with maintaining pets.

As such, the development team is looking into the following adjustments:

    Implementation of higher-tier mochi
By adding new mochi, a pet’s attack and accuracy will be supplemented further.

Improvements to the power of special abilities
Just as we increased the damage value of pet’s special abilities in the January version update, we’ll be making further adjustments to this again as we move forward.

    New “Call Beast” pets
We’re still in the midst of planning the addition of new pets, and as an example of a pet that can utilized for a comparatively lower cost, a Lucerewe-type sheep has been brought up as a possible candidate.

The team has been assigning priority to the various job adjustment tasks at hand, so please stayed tuned for further details for each of these adjustments.

    Puppetmaster (6/23)
We plan on adjusting the weapon skills of the automaton so that they are closer in damage. That way you may focus your use of maneuvers to synergize with your choices in attachments.

    Beastmaster (6/23)
Beastmasters, Puppetmasters and Dragoons must factor in the cost of keeping their pets alive, so we wish for the sum of the master plus the pet to be higher than that of a standard attacker. To this end, we're looking into the following adjustments:
-Higher level mochi: Higher level mochi will help reduce the deficiencies in the pet's attack and accuracy
-Increase the strength of skills: We have increased the strength of pet skills in earlier patches and we wish to continue with this
-New pets called with "Call Beast": As we have mentioned in the past, we wish to add more jug pets. A Lucerewe type sheep pet is planned, among others.
As usual, when more concrete plans are formed, we will be sure to tell you them.

    Warrior (6/23)
I will describe some adjustments we're planning for Warrior.
When compared to Monk, currently Warrior is lacking as an attacker. We feel that attacking and risk must be balanced in some way, and we're working on a new mechanism for this.
In a broader view, for attackers other than Warrior we're also looking into ways to adjust them based on Monk's current status. For example, Samurais beneift from the recently increased weapon skill damage and skillchain damage.
The adjustments for Warrior may take some time, so we ask players to wait a bit longer at this time, and stay tuned!

    Equipment Macros (6/23, 6/24)
We are currently developing a way to switch all equipment at once through an Equipment Set system. With this you can change all your slots in a single macro line. You may change up to 16 items at once using the equipment sets.
Furthermore, because you can update the equipment sets, you will not have to edit multiple macros when you obtain new equipment as you had to before.
We are aiming for an August release for this feature, please look forward to it!
How much sets can we create?
Do we make the sets using the GUI?
We are planning on allowing players to create 100 sets. It may vary based on the burden it causes, but for now that is the planned amount.
The sets will be created using the same interface as the normal equipment screen.
Can you create saved sets for blue magic and attachments too?
The mechanisms for blue magic and attachments are different than equipment, so this would need to be created separately. It may be a function in the future, but for now we wish to create things that affect more of the players first, such as equipment or inventory space.

Merirosvo Ring and Barataria Ring (6/24)
There is currently a glitch with these two rings. Under certain circumstances Phantom Rolls will not work normally. We plan on fixing this error in the July update.

    Ninja (6/24)
Can you do something about TP loss from Dual Wield? When in a party Dual Wield only contributes negatively.
Currently the setting is that no matter how much haste and dual wield a player has, delay cannot be below 75. This limitation causes a loss in TP gain that we wish to adjust in the future.
An adjustment for Dual Wield is currently being discussed for September. Because this is related to combat balance, please wait a bit longer.

    Summoner (6/24)
This is still some ways off, but in addition to abilities such as Hastega II, we wish to add other abilities to Summons. We also wish to adjust Avatar's Favor and increase the ways a Summoner can support a party.
As for the summon that goes "Oooooooooooooong~!", we have mentioned in the past that it takes some time to create the quests for it, so we are planning for a September release. Please wait just a bit longer.

Buffs Wearing When Entering Battlefields (6/24)
In the June update we made it so that you may enter certain battlefields with Trusts, but it caused an issue with removing buffs when you enter. Because this bug is related to the mechanism that allows Trusts into the battlefields, this may take some time to fix.
While unrelated to this incident, we have wished to change certain rules within battlefields. This rule change is, "before entering the battlefields, cast timers on magic and abilities will all be set to be available". This way, players can plan their tactics around the use of things such as their SP Abilities. However with this change we had planned to make it so that your buffs would all wear upon entering so you would not be able to use your SP ability twice in a single battle by using it before entering.
It is a big change but since the current glitch can take some time to fix, I thought it would be best to first inform players of what was being planned anyway. Whether we will fix the glitch or go with the timer reset idea, we plan on aiming it for the August update, so we apologize for the inconvenience it will cause until then.

    Trusts (6/25)
We have confirmed that level syncing with Trusts will make it into the July update. Please wait a bit longer.
Also, we have confirmed a bug that entering battlefields in Horlais Peak, Waughroon Shrine, Balga's Dais or Qu'Bia Arena occasionally will result in Trusts disappearing. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are investigating the cause now. I will inform you as soon as we can come up witha solution.

Mystery in the Rala Waterways (6/25)
(Haven't done a quest like this so I'm not sure what it's referring to)
The mystery point in Rala Waterways will have an event occur if you input the correct keyword. But it is quite difficult. As such, the person in charge wants to give a little hint within the spoiler.
    Spoiler: show
You do not solve the quest simply by looking for the code appearing in the quest. You must change it somehow and obtain a word from there.
In addition, it must be typed in all capitals.

    Pet/Luopan Crashing Bug (6/25)
We are currently adjusting for a bug that causes game crashes when pets or luopans disappear. If after the adjustments crashes continue to occur, we must ask players to trouble themselves by filling out detailed information in a bug report.

    Food Effect Display (6/25)
Because we have a priority in which we work on adjustments to the game, we currently are not working on adding the effects of food items onto their description. It would take some amount of work, but in the future even if we have to split the adjustment into multiple steps we would like to discuss it again.

Leveling Up for New Players (6/26)
    Matsui here.
Thank you for all the feedback.
Currently players that are new to the game will level up not knowing about things such as FoV, Trusts, and Eminence Records when they start out. It is unlikely they would touch the Abyssea areas either. Of course, for long-time players, the view while leveling would be different.
We don't think a specific playstyle is right, but we do try to keep in mind these viewpoints when we are developing.
In this thread I have seen some feedback that some players wish to reach level 99 easier. However, we have no plans to simply lower the amount of experience needed to level up.
At level 20 you will ride a chocobo, level 30 you will obtain extra jobs, level 60 you will obtain artifact armor and progress in all kinds of missions. I think about these things and I feel that these game experiences lead to players loving the game world and the characters, and I wonder if it would be the right choice to hasten the tempo at which players progress in levels.
I want to support new players by adding systems that provide experiences associated with growth- the focus is for new players to become more comfortable with the game. Trusts, for example, are part of this goal. With Trusts you can play at low levels even in situations it is difficult to set up parties, and recently you can even progress in missions alone.
I want to continue adding new ways to play with Trusts, but I also feel that from level 75 to 99 the level curse may be poor, so I want to adjust it in some way so that players feel more motivation to progress.
In terms of the community, we are planning on adding ways to support it from the system side as we have mentioned before. It will take some time to create something useful, so when there is a more concrete plan I will be sure to talk about it here on the forums.

    Merit WS (6/26)
The Weapon Skills that could be obtained through merit points originally did not have the level correction applied in the display, so there was no change during the June update.

Ability Charge Effect on Pets (6/26)
Can you change the red-lines effect that appears when a pet is charging an ability so I don't mistake it with a monster's?
We can't change effects of beastmaster pets for example, as that would also change the corresponding effect on the same type of monster. However, one thing we could do is make it so that pets do not display the effect at all. You would not be able to toggle this on/off as desired.
We will look into this an report back if there is a concrete plan, until then please wait a bit longer.

    [dev1219] Monster Rearing

Monster Rearing is a new feature of Mog Gardens in which players can raise their own creatures from babe to brute. Revel in the joys of feeding time; laugh, cry, and stew with your bestial buddies; and watch them metamorphose into majestic creatures as they grow up. Adventurers can even receive certain items from their charges, but the beasts will be less willing to part with anything of note should they be dissatisfied with their lot.
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/at...855621&thumb=1
    Eligibility
    - Have all gathering locations be of rank four or higher
    - Have employed the assistant Susuroon at least once

    Starting Out
Speaking to the Green Thumb Moogle after having fulfilled the above conditions will engender a line of quests in which a Qiqirn named Chacharoon visits adventurers' Mog Gardens. After the quest line is complete, Chacharoon will serve as the liaison between adventurers and their monsters.
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/at...855643&thumb=1
    * All adventurers will begin by raising a sheep, but may choose from two other species of monsters later on. There will be three species from which to choose as of the July version update, with more scheduled to come in future version updates.

    Caring for Monsters
Adventurers may interact with their creatures in various ways, including petting them and trading items to them as food.

    Gathering Items
Adventurers may receive one item from their beasts per Earth day.

    Ninja (6/27)
We reconfirmed the settings for the game, and the statement of "delay cannot go below 20% of the original" was the correct setting, rather than the "delay of 75" we had stated yesterday, which is a number obtained while we were verifying it.
As we had mentioned, dual wield is scheduled for a change in September. This adjustment will make it so that surplus dual wield will not affect TP gain. Through this players will no longer run into the issue where their delay does not change, but their TP gain does.

    Monstrosity EXP (6/27)
The double experience campaign held at this time is following the changes in the merit point and fellow expansions. Monstrosity double experience will come at some other time, so until then please enjoy the double normal experience campaign.

    New Players, Follow Up (6/27)
I think with things like the chocobo and artifact quests, it would be nice if there was some kind of notice in the game that let you know these things are available. For example, maybe your Moogle can tell you about it?
While not exactly as you described, we are planning some way of guiding newer players to quests they have not finished. Since there are so many quests in the game, we hope such a system will let newer players know where they can obtain the rewards they want.
Furthermore there is already a Tutorial category in the Records of Eminence, and we are thinking this system will guide players to those quests while trying to clear these goals.
I started playing in March of 2014.
I was lucky enough to meet some nice players and safely obtain a level 99 job. Currently I'm having a good time progressing through the Aht Urhgan Missions and challenging Wildskeeper Reives. It makes me glad that the developers are still thinking about newer players.
I think the hardest thing was still finding people who wanted to progress in the same content as I. If I could have people in the same situation as me I probably would've known about things like FoV, GoV, Trusts etc a lot earlier, as well as important things to do, and leveling up would've been more interesting.
Thank you for your feedback. We do want to increase the chances of new players or players aiming for the same goal to meet each other, as well as expanding the chances for players to join linkshells.

    [dev1220] Synthesis History Feature

A history function has been added to the Synthesis section of the main menu.
Selecting the History option will display information concerning pervious synthesis attempts. Simply choose the appropriate item from the list and select "OK" to perform the same synthesis as before.
    * Players must have the applicable materials in their inventory to perform synthesis using this feature.
    * Up to ten different entries can be displayed in the History menu.
    * In the event that players perform synthesis for an item not already displayed in their history and fail, the resulting item will be "Mangled Mess." If, however, they succeed and synthesize a high-quality item, the name of that high-quality item will display as the entry. The name of the Mangled Mess or high-quality item will be overwritten should a normal-quality item be produced when synthesizing that item again.

    Favoriting
Selecting an item shown in the history and clicking "Favorite" will display a star mark (★) next to the entry and ensure that it will remain in one's history.

    Hello, everyone!

The torques to boost the crafting skills of woodworking, clothcraft, goldsmithing, and cooking will be implemented sometime after the August version update.

The team has already prepared these items and they are currently working on how they can be obtained.
    Hello,

Just a slight update on this.

The team is currently looking into making it so warp scrolls can be stacked, and though there is a concern that Warp Cudgels may lose a bit of its luster, they are also looking into adding something to them that will boost their value a bit.
While I can’t speak specifically about these Blood Pacts in particular, we will be looking into revamping the effects of Blood Pact: Ward overall.

As example, we’d like to boost the effects by having summoning skill and level play a larger role.

Once the plans have been solidified a bit more I’ll be sure to let you know!
about time they implement the other torques ¬.¬

For the curious, this bug occurred because not all items were properly updated when we increased base movement speed several patches prior.

    Simulacrum (6/30)

HP Bayld drops in reives are determined when Simulacrum segments fail to drop. Thus, there are also cases where both do not drop. Currently there are no plans to allow players to trade HP Bayld for Simulacrum segments. As for raising drop rates, because the Simulacrum are related to the economy of each server, we'd like to observe for a while as double drop campaigns before we make a decision. Because we don't really like a situation where there arn't enough segments for players to have regular activity, we will continue to adjust it.

    Crafting Kit (Weaver) (6/30)

We are considering adjusting the Crafting Kit salesman in the Weaver's Guild as he is found on the opposite end of the room as opposed to next to the Guild Vendor like most other guilds.

    Sekhmet Corset (6/30)

The Sekhmet Corset jobs were set in accordance to the Aht Urhgan item Bitter Corset. We plan on creating a larger variety of magic damage waist armor in the future, so please look forward to it.

    New Blood Pacts (7/1, 7/2)

We have mentioned it in the past, but we have no intention of adjusting Summoner so that it is a purely support role job. Although they will gain spells such as Hastega II as an example, we plan on adding other types of abilities to other Avatars, such as offensive abilities.

Since there are many different summons, it will be difficult to add it all at once, so we may have to add them a little at a time. We hope the players can wait a bit longer.

We also discussed changing Avatar's Favor previously, but we also wish to adjust Blood Pact: Ward eventually. For example, raising the effect of character and summoning skill level so that it can expand a Summoner's supportive skill. We will be sure to inform you on the forums when we can be more specific, but for now we hope players will enjoy the coming version updates.

    Mog Garden Nodes (7/1)

The mineral vein and arboreal grove have associated grades, so in order to collect all at once, we must solve some issues.

You collect many types of items from the node, if we allow you to collect many at once, items beyond your carrying capacity may be lost. Furthermore if you collect multiple items at once one problem is how many of each rank would be collected.

Once we have implemented monster raising, we will discuss it more.

    MMM (7/1)

When registering Tabulas, is it possible for:
    -The fee to be changed
-The records to not be erased with each update
We certainly want to make it easier, while we haven't decided the exact route, we wish to review the cost. We also don't want the registration to disappear with each update, btu this may be a difficult project. For now of these we will put priority on reviewing the cost.

Can you please make reentry less than 24 hours? Perhaps 20 hours so a late entry the previous day would not be difficult.
Because the server load of MMM isn't particularly high at the moment, we will consider reducing the time restriction.

Consideration of these issues will come after the August update, so please give us some more time.

    Eminence Record: Reives (7/1)

Can you please reduce the amount of times needed to complete each objective, such as reducing it to 2 clears and making the reward 2/5?
If we make this change, it may affect character progression, as further completions have smaller rewards, so think this must be carefully considered.

    Divine Might Drops (7/2)

First I will tell you the bottom line by saying that Felistris Mask drops at the same rate as other equipment. The person in charge of this battlefield has stated that compared to Divine Might, challenging the battlefields with only the single opponents has a higher chance of obtaining specific equipment such as Felistris Mask.

    Double Campaign Campaign (7/2)

The campaign started 7/8 has doubled experience points and allied notes after the calculation of usual assessments. For this reason a constant refreshing of your Allied Tags is not necessary, it will simply double what you earned in the assessment.

    Scrolls of Instant Warp (7/2)

To improve convenience, we are considering allowing these scrolls to stack. Since this will reduce the value of the warp cudgel, we wish to address this in some way as well.

    Fit for a Prince (7/3)

As part of making it easier to complete certain quests, the requirements for Fit for a Prince are also under consideration. With this change, if you cancel the quest and wait 1 minute and change areas, you will be able to re-challenge the quest. This way you may re-challenge the quest until you obtain a face type you are able to find.

At the earliest, we expect to have this change out in August.

    Crafting Torques (7/3)

The crafting torques of woodworking, weaving, goldsmithing, and cooking will be added in the August version update. Currently we are adjusting where these items should be obtained, so please wait a bit longer.

    Trusts (7/4)

As we promised earlier, in the August update we will be removing the Trust music from the regular magic list. We will also be added a new effect when Trusts are summoned.

Continuing on an earlier topic about Trusts being stuck on terrain, we have been adjusting the AI in accordance with the feedback we have received. We will be adding this in the July update. If there continues to be issues, please make bug reports.

    Blue Mage (7/4)

There are many questions so I will try to categorize them.

    New Blue Magic

We will introduce new blue magic spells in July, some details are as follows:
Erratic Flutter: Fast Cast value 8, 6 blue magic points
Thrashing Assault: Double Attack value 8, 7 blue magic points
Subduction: Magic Attack Bonus value 8, 6 blue magic points
As with magic added in Adoulin, the spells cost many blue magic points in exchange for high trait values, even with a single spell you will have the trait.

    Traits

The Animating Wail spell will still be found on many sets after the introduction of a more powerful effect through Erratic Flutter because of its Dual Wield Trait. However, it is scheduled for more blue magic to be added in the future covering a variety of job traits, so please wait a bit longer.

    The power of physical magic

The blue mage is a job that combines blue magic with their autoattacks and weapon skills. According to the support a blue mage is receiving, their melee strikes may outpace their magic spells. We wish to add more spells like Quadratic Continuum and Amorphic Spikes where a high MP cost is balanced by high damage so that blue magic continues to be burst damage even in a party setting.

    Limits of spell setting

The settings make it difficult to raise the maximum number of blue magic spells, so instead we have chosen the route of adding spells with powerful trait effects to reduce the number of spells blue mages feel they need to set. This, alongside the Job Point category which allows blue mages to set more high-value spells, will allow you to use spells more effectively.

    New Red Mage Spells (7/9)
Distract's effect is stronger than the evasion down effect Gravity used to inflict. Because the main effect of Gravity is to reduce monster movement speed, we have set it so that many monsters can resist it.
Since we have added a dedicated spell to reducing evasion in the form of distract, we believe instead of balancing it around players stacking both effects, we would instead make it so players have a powerful evasion down effect from Distract alone.
    -----
Distract and Frazzle are both affected by Saboteur (Although it is reduced in the case of NMs). Enfeebling and Buffing Magic are not restricted in the same way songs and rolls are, where you are only allowed to have so many at once, so we wish to consider this carefully before we make any adjustments.
We will first observe how the new spells added for Red Mage affects the game, and we ask that players try to use these in a variety of situations and give us feedback.

    Geomancer's Haste (7/9)
As was reported in the Freshly Picked Vana'Diel, Indi-Haste and Geo-Haste can reach comparable levels to Haste II depending on equipment. With Geomancy and Handbell skill as a base, it is also affected by Geomancy+ equipment such as Dunna.

    Campaign Evaluations (7/9)
We plan on adjusting the time between Campaign Evaluations in the future.

    Affecting Blue Magic (7/9)
We would like make adjustments in August so that things like songs, corsair rolls and food effects can affect blue magic.
While we take issues of combat balance very seriously, it is true that we want to see Blue Mage shine using their magic.

    Blue Magic Bursting (7/10)
The spell is called Thrashing Assault in English, isn't it a bit odd to call it S.Assault?
Thank you for pointing it out. We will fix the name.
The spells since Adoulin arn't affected by Burst Affinity so I would like this to be fixed.
We designed the spells since Adoulin with the idea that they would have high firepower on their own, and in exchange they would not be able to be affected in other ways such as Burst Affinity. However, since we adjusted all weapon skills in June and want to see more opportunities for skillchains, we may reconsider this idea.

Add Effects from Blue Magic (7/10)
The requirements for Blue Mages aiming for additional effects from their spells do seem limiting, so we are discussing changing this. However since this is an important part of combat balance, we also consider things such as having both accuracy and magic accuracy on a piece of equipment to reduce player selection.
For this reason, we wish to consider alternate ways for a blue mage to boost their magic accuracy.

    Trust AI (7/10)
Can you adjust Trusts so that they will finish singing songs after you've defeated a weak enemy quickly?
I would also like to see some adjustments to pets such as the Wyvern's ability to support with healing breaths.
We have discussed adjustments to pets such as automatons and wyverns, but adjusting these along with Trusts is a difficult project.
As for situations where you defeat enemies very quickly, we would suggest using tank or damage trusts as according to the situation.

    Freshly Picked Vana'Diel Closing (7/10)
Next Update is Coming in Mid-August. In the next update, Adoulin Missions and New Areas will be coming in a large update.
New Battle Content and New Job Point Categories will be added, new versions of trusts will be added, and a new equipment swapping feature among others will be added.

Buff Wearing While Entering BF (7/14)
We mentioned before that we were planning on either fixing the glitch that made buffs wear off upon entering a battlefield or changing it so that abilities reset on entering a battlefield in the August update.
Because of considerations of combat balance, the idea of resetting all job timers when entering a battlefield has been postponed to give us more time to discuss it. On the other hand, we wanted to fix the glitch causing buffs to wear, but we have run into some technical hurdles.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will report again as soon as we have made progress so please give us some more time.

    Pyric and Polar Bulwark (7/14)
(Japanese only issue but it's kinda weird since this wasn't done in the English client)
The blue magic pointed out, "Pyric Bulwark" being changed to "Polar Bulwark" is not a glitch (The effect is the same as before). This was not included in the version update notes, so we apologize for the confusion.
To explain, the Hydra abilities Pyric Bulwark and Polar Bulwark being reversed was fixed in the July Update, and along with this the corresponding spell Pyric Bulwark was changed to Polar Bulwark to match the monster's technique.

    Adjustments to Dancer (7/14)
Hello, thank you everyone for your Dancer feedback. I'll respond to you in categories.

    Step Potency
As we have described before, we want to adjust steps when they are used by a main-job Dancer, so please wait a bit longer.

    Monster AoE Attacks
As you have pointed out, Dancers must battle in close range, so they have a greater chance of taking AoE damage. However, aside from battling close range to contribute to damage using autoattacks and weapon skills, we believe Dancers can cover for the risk of battling close range using curing and healing waltz.
We believe that there is more of a need to adjust dancer's party supporting abilities rather than the durability of dancers themselves.

    Amnesia
To Dancers, the Amnesia effect is especially powerful and will deprive them of a large amount of their capabilities.
In response to this, instead of giving certain jobs tools to deal with amnesia, we want to add monsters with amnesia that are short-lasting effects as well as having ways to prevent these monsters from using these skills, or ways to avoid them.

    The Future of Dancer
We wish to continue adjusting Dancer as a front-line job that has supportive abilities.
As we have commented in the past, balancing hybrid jobs like Dancer that offer a variety of uses alongside jobs that offer specialized roles is a very difficult thing to accomplish.
First we wish to adjust the main-job steps of Dancers, and after observing the effects of that, we wish to continue examining a Dancer's function in parties.

    Dragoon (7/15)
Good evening, I have asked the development team about the future of Dragoon.
The Dragoon is a job we would like to see unlock its true potential while fighting alongside the wyvern.
In the August update we will increase the Wyvern’s defense and magic defense to make them stronger against area attacks, and increase their subtle blow to adjust their TP feed. We will also remove the graphical effect involving red lines when the Wyvern is charging its breaths to make it easier to integrate into party play.
In September we will reduce the casting time and increase the magic accuracy of breaths. We also plan on increasing the base strength of Wyverns and their leveled up strength, increasing their importance.

    Blood Pact Range (7/15)
I would like to see a larger range on blood pacts. They were increased in the past but now even that is not enough.
For example, the boss Utkux makes it difficult to control the positioning of the avatar because of the size of the monster.
When fighting larger monsters, it becomes more difficult to hit allies on both sides of a monster, so we are thinking of increasing the range of supportive abilities. When we have a more concrete plan, I will post again. Please look forward to future updates.
