    Wyrmal Abjuration (8/31)

    Can you remove the Dragon Affinity from this set?
    Thank you for your suggestion.

    All the abjuration sets were designed with a downside in mind. For example, the Shura set reduces HP. In the Crimson Armor set’s case, it can indeed cause you to be intimidated by enemies with Dragon Killer.

    The Carmine set (The upgraded version of the Crimson Set) has no such downside to it, so you may use these items without fear.

    Blue Mage Auto Refresh (8/31)

    We have confirmed that there is a bug involving Auto Refresh and the Job Trait Bonus Gift. We will be addressing this in the September update.

    A new NPC who will accept certain pieces of equipment with the Ex attribute in exchange for special points will be added.

    A new NPC who will store chapters of Rem’s Tale, required to reforge artifact and relic equipment and empyrean equipment, will be added.

    A new function to display the time remaining of certain effects on status icons will be added.

    A new function to compare the attributes of the currently equipped piece with those of a selected piece when changing equipment will be added.

    New items will be able to be stored via the Porter Moogle.

    New entries will be added to the Adventuring Primer.


    Windows/Xbox 360 Versions Only

    The widths of log windows when using the multi-window function will be able to be adjusted individually.

    Automaton Ailments (9/1)

    A big problem with melee frames is status ailments.
    -The Resister attachment has very little effect
    -We cannot check what ailments are active
    -Liberal use of Eraser and Repair is not efficient

    I request the following adjustments.
    -Increase Resister’s effects
    -Give a command to check pet status ailments
    -Make ailments removed by Repair also add a resistance to these effects, say, for 30 seconds.
    Currently, we believe there are no issues with automatons and status ailments.

    With both Resister attachments equipped, the automaton can reach 90% resist with 3 water maneuvers active. The ability Maintenance alongside higher tier Automaton Oils can remove several status ailments, so we think using attachments, maneuvers, and items in conjunction can solve any issues.

    Lures (9/1)

    Let us stack these please.
    We have no plans on allowing players to stack lures. Currently, we allow consumable fishing bait the ability to stack, whereas lures cannot stack but will not be consumed on use. Furthermore, lures can be inscripted with a name, and if allowing them to stack would require us change this setting.

    O. Fragments (9/1)

    Can you add other stones aside from what we’re already offered?
    Assuming you mean the stone from Alluvion Skirmish, we have no plans for this at the moment. We believe this would reduce the incentive to do certain content.

    Can you let us trade for more stones at once?
    It would be difficult to implement a system where you type in the amount you want, but an option for 10 or 50 stones at once should be possible. Please allow us to do some checks, and if there are no issues we will implement it in a future version update.

    Job-Specific Merit Point Categories Maximum
    Currently we do not have any plans to increase the cap for the Group 1 or Group 2 merit point categories.
    Availability of HMPs, Riftcinders, Riftdross
    We currently do not have any plans to increase the availability and acquisition of Heavy Metal Plates, Riftcinders, and Riftdross.
    Myrkr and Dagan
    We understand the desire for geomancer to be added to the coin weapons from Walk of Echoes; however, we have no plans to do so at this time.
    Unable to summon trusts in add-on fights and Alexander/Odin fights.
    In order to help, we need a little more information to determine what's happening.

    Are you attempting to summon alter egos for battles related to the avatar quests? If this is the case, this is working as intended, as we designed these encounters to restrict the use of Trust magic. The same applies for Einherjar.

    Please let us know if you are unable to summon alter egos while engaged in the Alexander fight related to the battlefield of the Treasure of Aht Urhgan mission "Nashmeira’s Plea." We have tested and confirmed that alter egos can be used for this mission battle.

    Thanks for the feedback thus far on Domain Invasion.

    In the September version update we will be implementing an evaluation system. This will be similar to what we have in place for reives, and you will be able to earn capacity points depending on the amount of evaluation points you accrue.

    Notorious monsters will have a chance to spawn whenever a monster in Escha - Ru'Aun is vanquished.

    Domain Invasion (9/2)

    In the September update, we’ll be changing Domain Invasion so that you can earn Capacity Points. They will be earned in a way similar to points from Reives, just with Capacity Points in place of Bayld. I hope players can wait just a bit longer for it.

    Beastmaster(9/2)

    As I understand it, at some point you changed the fact that Puppetmaster gets JA lock a lot from using maneuvers because it severely impacts their damage output. Can you do the same with the job ability Ready?
    We have no plans on changing this aspect of the job. We changed this aspect of Puppetmaster because maneuvers are a major part of the Puppet’s function. While the usage rate of the Ready command is also quite high, we don’t believe it is as major of a function as maneuvers for automatons are.

    Flame Holder (9/3)

    We’ll be adjusting this attachment in the September update. Even without Flame Maneuvers active it will have an effect.

    Pixioche (9/4)

    Please tell us the effects of the Pixioche! I have suspicions it has a hidden effect, but it would be difficult to test.
    The item Pixioche gives INT+1. It has no other effects.

    Resister (9/4)

    Please give us more details on the Resister attachment.
    The effects of the attachment are not affected by the level of the enemy. I shall list the effects below.

    Is the map salesman in Mhaura, Lugwig, and the 2nd Division’s Legatus Ludwig Eichberg the same person?
    These two people are the same race, with the same gold hair color. The added beard would certainly be explained by the 20 year gap as well.

    We would like to avoid direct statements for something that has captured imaginations like this.

    Geomancy Resistance (9/7)

    Aside from abilities like Saboteur having adjusted effects on NMs, are Geomancy or Enfeebling spells themselves subject to adjustments when cast on NMs?
    Currently, there are no notorious monsters which reduce the effects of Geomancy spells. However, it is certainly possible that future content will contain notorious monsters which do have some resistance to Geomancy spells. This is currently only something that’s been discussed, so please only use this answer as a reference.

    Announcing the September Version Update
    Greets, adventurers! This is Matsui, here to give you a rundown of the upcoming September patch.

    Hopefully you’ll find this patch full of exciting new content, quality of life adjustments, and a wide array of other additions and adjustments to make your treks throughout Vana’diel better than ever.

    First off, the date! The development and quality assurance teams are working to meet our target of September 16.

    As I alluded to above, the meat of this patch lies in new battle and quest content, various job adustments, and quality of life improvements.

    First, the quest In the Land of the Blind will see the conclusion of one of Adoulin’s several continuing storylines. As with other ultimate chapters, In the Land of the Blind will provide those who complete it with a special item commensurate with their efforts. If you haven’t been following the story since its inception, I encourage you to take this opportunity to explore this little slice of Adoulin.

    Continuing down the last, we’ll be adding rank 6 monster rearing to your Mog Gardens, accompanied as always by new monster types: behemoths and bombs. Those dedicated to rearing their creatures may see them grow up to become fearsome erasmoths or snolls and terrorize the countryside—or at least your Garden.

    Those dedicated to pursuing the thrill of battle will not want to miss two new high-tier mission battlefields: one featuring Omega nad Ultimate, and the other Promathia. Whether you want to relieve the battles of eld or get your feet wet for the first time, there’s now even more reason to time up with your comrades and tackle these deadly threats.

    Further battle content includes new notorious monsters for both Wanted battles and Geas Fete, an additional way to receive rewards from Vagary, a decrease in enemy HP when tackling Incursion and Delve in low-man parties, and an increase in time limit for players attempting Einherjar with fewer than six players. With content both new and old at your disposal, there’s something for everyone!

    While job adjustments this go around are focused or parameter adjustments, geomancers and rune fencer will surely be tickled to hear that we’re finally adding job emotes for Adoulin’s newcomers! We’re sorry that it’s taken so long, but I hope you’ll be pleased with the results!

    System-side improvements include the display of timers on status buff icons, the ability to independently resize multiple log windows, a function to company the attributes of a selected item with that currently equipped, and much more!

    We’re all burning the night oil to make sure the content gets to you as soon as possible, so mark the date in your calendar and get your soda and chips ready!

    Domain Invasion (9/9)

    Do you think you can do something similar to how Eminence NPCs are handled and make it so that unrelated NPCs around a boss NM cannot be selected?

    We’re planning several adjustments to Domain Invasion in September; however the change you are asking for will not be making it into these adjustments. Handling of unrelated monsters will be addressed in future updates. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

    Tank Trust Behavior (9/10)

    Tank trusts occasionally try to cure themselves or use abilities like Sentinel. There are times when Trusts do this before they are even on the hate list however, when you begin combat. Can you fix this somehow?
    One of the settings for Trusts is that they’ll prioritize using abilities and magic. Adjusting this portion of their AI would require a great deal of work and contains a significant risk (adjusting the conditions of ability use may result in them not using them very often).

    We have also confirmed that occasionally, short recast abilities such as Provoke or Flash would not be used when fighting against a single monster. However, we don’t think this significantly impacts their overall function, so we’re leaving it as is.

    Maximin (9/10)

    I’m also curious about another man in Mhaura, Maximin. His name is suspiciously similar to the 1st Legionnaire leader.

    Trusts (9/12)

    This may be a strange question, but I was wondering if monsters being defeated by Trusts will cause any changes in lottery pops when compared to being defeated by players.
    The way a monster is defeated is not relevant, it will always enter a lottery. Whether the defeating blow is given by a Trust, Fellow, or Pet will not matter.

    Strafe (9/12)

    With the changes to TP consumption, what will happen with the Strafe enhancing effects of the Wyrm Brais +2?

    As you pointed out, after the September update, the Strafe enhancing effect will no longer take effect. This is already something the development team is aware of, and they are already discussing changing the effect in a future update. We apologize for the inconvenience until then.

    Daken (9/12)

    Greetings,

    The proc rate for Daken at each of its ranks is as follows:
    Rank 1: 20%
    Rank 2: 25%
    Rank 3: 30%
    Rank 4: 35%
    Rank 5: 40%

    Using equipment with special bonuses for Daken will also push the proc rate higher.

    Telchine Set (9/14)

    Can you make the augments on this set also increase enhancing blue magic duration?
    The lack of increased duration on blue magic spells is intentional. The extended enhancing magic effect is meant for spells that fall under the enhancing skill.

    Enfeebling Magic (9/14)

    I will answer some questions regarding enfeebling magic.

    First, in regards to black/white magic, there are some players who have mentioned that notorious monsters have a lower cap set for potency. This is not true. For example, at content level 135, notorious monsters will require approximately 300* of the appropriate stat (combination of base stat and increases) to cap potency.
    *This value changes based on monster MND value

    There are some mentions of enfeebling magic being impossible to land anyway, but we believe that in these cases, the Immunobreak system should be used. Currently, if a target completely resists a spell and two immunobreaks occur, an enfeebling spell used alongside Elemental Seal will land no matter what monster it is. The chance of an immunobreak varies with enfeebling magic skill and the amount of times a resist has occurred, so if a player wishes to aim specifically for this event, they should boost their enfeebling magic skill and wait for two immunobreaks to occur, after which the player may switch back to equipment focused on other stats and try again.

    Now in regards to Geomancy: We had earlier made a post about how there was a possibility of monsters resisting Geomancy spells in future updates. In these situations, instead of it being handled like other spells, it would be a reduction of the effects. We have no plans of changing from one of the original concepts of Geomancer, which was “Enfeebles will always land”. Whether such a resistance will be something present right from the beginning of battle, or gradually added over time is to be discussed.

    Not technically official, but likely commissioned and endorsed by Square Enix - an atereko (kinda like a fandub) of the opening scene of RotZ by a famitsu x dengeki team. 2 more videos will come in Oct and Nov respectively.

    Its subtitle translates to "To a new world". It would seem they may be starting on their promotional campaign towards the new FFXI.

    Dread Spikes (9/15)

    Is the adjustment going to apply to monsters? I think I can live without it if that’s the case.
    No need to worry, the adjustments to Dread Spike’s duration will be to the player version of the spell only.

    Blind (9/15)

    Upon rechecking, we have found that we reversed the MND and INT statements for the two spells Blind and Blind II in the post we made earlier. We apologize for the mixup.

    The correct information is as follows.

    Blind
    Lowest value at -80 difference between enemy MND and Player Character INT: 5
    Highest value at +120 difference between enemy MND and Player Character INT: 50

    Blind II
    Lowest value at -80 difference between enemy MND and Player Character INT: 15
    Highest value at +120 difference between enemy MND and Player Character INT: 90

    Shantotto Trust (9/16)

    She’s not casting the enemy’s elemental weaknesses, can you fix this?
    The Trust Shantotto is not guaranteed to aim for elemental weaknesses, but rather avoids using spells that the target resists. This has not changed since implementation. Furthermore, against targets which have a certain amount of resistance to all elementals, she will not attack.

    We have rechecked it and confirmed that the behavior of this Trust is intentional.

    Home Points (9/16)

    Will you increase the number of Home Points in the cities? Many of the guilds in Windurst, for example, are quite far from the home points, the Bastok Mines has no Home Point near the Zeruhn Mines, and Whitegate could use a home point near the zone line to Al Zahbi.
    Thank you for your feedback. After adding additional home points in the November update, there is the possibility of adjusting the position of existing home points.

    To this end, we would like to collect player requests regarding home point additions and adjustments, so we would like players to give us feedback on which home points are inconvenient, where additional home points could be useful, and even if any feel unnecessary.
