That entire episode made no sense.

Episode takes place 5 years from now
He stares at a ticket saying he regretted not going
Then suddenly he runs to the mother's place saying we'll meet 45 days from now.

Also, I could see the "boyfriend" becoming an issue with Ted and the Mother beginning dating. Otherwise, there is no reason to mention it.

On another note, the feels... oh god the feels... I feel more and more like Ted as all my friends get married/have kids and basically disappear.

It really wasn't confusing.

I was thinking the same thing. I kept trying to think that he called her the day after the wedding so everything must have been nice and perfect from there on, but calling her honestly doesn't mean shit lol.

I didn't get the "kids, you know what I did first" or w/e before he went to Robots vs Wrestlers.. But yeah, I hadn't thought of it, but if they have a full season, he could meet the mother, and then they could draw it out before they start dating. Would be incredibly lame...........

"45 days" from when this episode takes place (April, 2013*) would put the meeting around the time of May 13th (when the finale is scheduled). Not saying it's definitely going to happen during the season finale, that's just how I'm looking at it.

*Assuming early April

Well that's the date of the wedding. They said they wouldn't change that at this point. Whether or not they show the whole wedding on the finale though is up for debate. I think we'll see her in the last second of the finale, but who knows ; ;

I'm expecting he'll "meet her," but we won't see her till the start of next season. Did he say they start dating in 45 days or only that they meet?

I believe his whole big speech was that they meet in 45 days, start dating, have 2 kids etc... I also won't be surprised when the finale ends at the wedding just as he's about to meet her.

He's said in previous episodes that he called the mother right away after getting her number. I'm thinking they start dating pretty much right after they meet, especially after this episode.

You really think they would let that slip by? I don't think we'll see the mother but thats just to keep the mystery alive going into the last season.
