CBS gives no fucks. They have one of the highest demo rating averages. If you're not watching the show when it airs they don't care about you.

It's still total bs. You don't just go and spoil 8 seasons of intrigue like that.
I honestly still think the reveal of a face is pretty underwhelming. Don't really think it spoils a whole lot, since you wouldn't really know the face anyway.
Yeah... I dunno.. why would you go to their Facebook page without having seen the episode? At the very least, people are going to post things about the episode. I mean, we have spoiler tags so you can hide discussions immediately after, and still people avoid threads till they've seen the episode.
LOL. Yeah seriously. CBS doesn't give a shit, but at least it's 100% her.
But yeah.. why would you go to facebook and shit if you haven't seen the ep yet? I know for people like me, who've liked their page.. I would have figured they'd put something up there, so I'd have avoided it until I saw it.. but lol. Still. Gotta love dem spoilers anyway.
I didn't feel like I watched a season finale at all. Maybe it's because I'm so used to watching shows as a marathon, but I have no closure from anything in that episode at all and it's very irritating.
yeah, cliffhangers in a finale shouldn't mean "don't resolve anything at all", needs to be a balance between closure and teases of the future, imo.
Spoiler: show
Oh wow, I honestly didn't realize that was the finale. I thought there was still one more episode, and was the reason I was so shocked by the reveal lol.
I guess I should have realized with so many cliffhangers.
edit: @ Vandal, of course your last line is correct.
He said in an early episode that when he first got the mother's number he called back immediately, so ofcourse he won't move. He'll start dating her right away and decide to stay.
From the CBS press release after the finale
Looks like the whole thing will take place at the wedding with flashforwards and maybe some flashbacks from the mother's POV.Our ninth season will tell the epic story of the longest wedding weekend ever. We hope you like it.
Actually a How I Met Your Father season to finish it all off would be kind of neat. I'm not opposed to it if they do it right.
You don't have to visit the show's FB page, or even "like" it to see the picture. And if one of your friends likes, comments, or shares the photo, it can appear in your news feed. With (as of the time of this post) 141,000+ likes, 18,000+ comments, and 36,000+ shares, it is likely to happen sooner or later. They could have been a lot less herp derp about this, but they blew it big time.
As someone who wasn't a fan of the show though, watching all the YOUMADNESS in that comment thread is pretty entertaining.
With 3 weeks break per episode
I don't think it's gonna be that literal. There will probably be a bunch of episodes dedicated to other things than just the wedding. It will probably weave in and out in the timeline. Could see the season starting with Barney and Robin's wedding and ending with Ted's..
