Totally agree with the first point. She is looking for a good Christian excuse because the church and divorce courts often sides with the man in these cases. "It must be her fault, what is she doing wrong?" Finding out he's cheating on her is more clear cut for outside authorities to see.

Second point not so much. Sex isn't the basis of the relationship because they both don't want sex from each other. It's more about her trying to stay out of his way and giving him another excuse to get pissed off at her.

You need to read up on emotional abuse before you make statements like that. For someone outside of the relationship, it's easy for you or me to say, "The choice is clear, get the fuck out, get a divorce, get your kids out of this environment." Getting a victim of emotional abuse to actually see your point of view is very difficult. I'm no expert. I have read up a lot on the subject and seen the aftermath of it with my ex. And yet I still recognize that doesn't make me an expert thus my only involvement has been to recommend a really good book on the subject and tell her to seek counseling.

My fault for not disclosing that from the start. I filtered it out cuz I was trying to limit the conversation to a single subject. I realized too late that more details on the relationship would help to better understand why this guy's claim was complete bullshit.

The reason why people are hung up on him asking for anal is that it is proof that his libido is fine. If he had a medical or mental issue that was causing him to not want sex then he wouldn't ask for anal and then get all withdrawn when he doesn't get it.

If he wasn't asking for anal it would actually be possible that he had a medical issue that was effecting his libido. Since his libido is fine, he is going to or already has cheated on her to get what he feels like he needs.
