We only had 4 (with one of those dual boxed) and we took a SMN for PD for Samursk so it was more like 3.

Also you can't kill Samursk before PD wears as Rag DRK, Ukon WAR, SCH, SMN for the record. Only got it to ~40% by the time PD wore (although I didn't realise my food had wore -_- ). It's still killable with that set-up, just don't expect it to be dead before PD wears.

Use RNG for researcher 3... Very easy. I'll admit we had no idea the mobs would perfect dodge that much but it wasn't an issue regardless.

Someone finally beat Umagrhk on the JP side, Kokou's Earring and Orunmila's Torque. Both of those were already confirmed from the test server, just confirming for the real server. No info yet on whether you can buy the KIs or what "total completion rewards" are (assuming they even did all goal 3s).

Maybe save PD for last 50% or so when I assume he is more dangerous?

Yeah, he's certainly doable with that set-up. Everyone in our group is livid as we timed out at 1% for it. It wasn't down to him being dickish but due to being under-prepared / silly mistakes.

Like I always, always, always have at least 2 RR items on me at all times. Turns out I only had 1 yesterday (but died twice). Also my food wore just before we engaged which I didn't realise until afterwards. We took a while to engage figuring it'd be dead in 1-2 mins and also kited it for 1 min when I died (as I made a throwaway comment that it was kiteable if shit went wrong but it was interpreted as kite if someone dies). The other DD died to Doom due to forgetting Holy Waters. All stupid shit basically that just grates when you time out at 1%.

I can't see us ever losing to it again with an identical set-up anyway. It isn't that hard, we just messed up basically.

Well I was watching for it when weakened tbh because with how shit was going, I half expected it. Good job it never used it really as my stun wasn't even fast enough for Oblivion's Mantle, nvm Deathga.

It'll be Sunday/Monday before we can do the end boss now for the record (assuming we actually kill Samursk this time). If we get there before anyone else then obviously we'll give info but pretty certain we'll have plenty of reports by then.

EDIT: The only spells we saw it cast were Impact, Fire V, Firaja, Slowga, Dispelga, Silencega and Graviga. Didn't see any of its other spells (Comet, Firaga IV, Breakga, AoE Stun, AoE Addle) . Also never used Divesting Gale or Bolt of Perdition (I think...may have used in PD time).

Not saying it can't use them, just never saw them. It's possible that certain abilities/spells are HP dependent so because we zerged the first 60%, we avoided them.

Samursk isn't bad at all. We killed him last week. 99Vere/Spharai(not sure what he used),99Apoc,SCH,THF,WHM(mule)

Front and back tanked him. Stun/bash Oblivion's Mantle.

Yeah don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he's hard/difficult. Our loss was 100% down to us rather than Samursk actually being difficult.

We effectively tried to 3 man it (SMN just PD'ed and idled) but were always at 1 DD + Healer after PD wore since 1 DD was always weakened at some point after that. (Both my deaths were to Quad Attack whilst he had spikes up. The other DD died to doom)

A week or two before the version update, I stood there for a very long time on the test server with embrava/regen/DT- gear just watching his behavior. He casted all of those spells on me except Breakga, that one came from the JP wiki. He definitely used Gale and Bolt also, I saw him use all of the old Ig-Alima TP moves except Oblivion's Mantle (he didn't use Unrelenting Brand either, but I didn't damage him at all so it's probably HP based).

He didn't use Unrelenting Brand until after PD wore for us for what it's worth. (Again not saying he can't use it before then, but it's possibly like 50% or under or post CS)

Also, thinking about it he didn't CS until after I died. He used it just after I did which was at 37%.

Completed researcher today, all goal 3 on rank 5, mdk is only missing 2 overall and will try to get them on the test server sometimes this WE. Samursk was a bit of a bitch, we did it MNKx3, SCH, WHM, SMN, poped PD at like 90%. We should have waited a bit though because 2 monks died (chaisnpell comet yeah !). Otherwise maybe Umargh tomorrow.

ps : the npc only offers a new gimoire and researcher rewards. I'm missing 3 goal 3.

Interesting the 2 people that used PD had trouble with him, while my group just took him down super easy with 5 with no PD.

Maybe we just got lucky with TP moves and CS spells?

After PDing, I just went into SCH stun mode, so he was pretty easy. I'm wondering if we should wait to PD for the last tier NM as well.

I couldn't solo the adjunct #4 as SMN on the test server, after 5 mins the first lamp was still alive. other jobs who can solo all 3? BST? RNG? and gobs are true aggro.

We didn't use PD or stun. Melees died from oblivion's mantle, but I just kited it around and killed it on RNG 25%->0. We will have our SCH go /BLM next time though.

Just have one expedition left now that I need goal 3 on (Adjunct 3, those stupid cockatrices aggroed the first time and we didn't repeat). I can't believe still nobody has finished goal 3 on everything to check if anything gets unlocked. Nobody's gotten to kill Umagrhk yet either except the one JP group?

With the 5 free sacks today we should be able to try the megaboss today. Sent texts around to my static so just need them not to be busy now.
