Main - DRG (Ryuno), THF, NIN, SCH/BLM

Player 3:
Main - WHM, RDM, SMN, or BRD

Which jobs should we use? Do the drops come directly from him or from a chest?

We did it as DRK SAM BLM + Dual Boxed WHM with no issue so anything you take should be fine. Drops are from him not chest.

Based on what it says, you have to completely wipe out the sacks you have (your own and any the NPC is holding), then you will automatically receive 5 (1 to you, 4 restocked at NPC).

Letalis Mantle and Seidr Cotehardie are both Umagrhk drops. Perhaps he has a very large potential loot pool relative to the rest to encourage you to try him repeatedly?

SE's really going to need to fix this fucking event. Ideally, you can fight every NM once every 520 minutes (presuming you do everything in order), which is 21.7 days. Realistically, since you're not going to do MB the moment your tags are available, you're going to fight one every 26 days. I dont know how the drop rates are, but nothing seems to be 100%, which means this is going to be a fucking ginormous timesink for no apparent reason.

Well, unless you can buy his KIs for a fair yet nominal amount of gil (100~200k per KI?) and fight him every time you have a tag. We need to wait until we get the word about that first.

Watch the KIs require all grimoires with G3 complete on each.

the goal completion is independant of the grimoire.

it was a joke, hes saying that if SE lets you buy KIs for gil, the requirement will be getting goal 3 clears for every area on all 5 grimoires.

100k will require you to farm MB for 3 months, just saying . 70k for mantle so only 2 months.

Well, could spam Associate Researcher Mission 4, right? You can potentially score 13600 marks just from that in one run. I think my group got north of 7000 doing it our first time.

Pretty certain that the actual amount you get for opening those chests is split or not quite right. Since we did that wing first and I remember only have like 9k Marks after doing the first 4 runs. I distinctly remember checking it because it said we had obtained some sort of ludicrous amount and I thought wtf. I assume it is split or something.

Also, just noticed since we had to repeat researcher. Researcher 3, Commaders are WAR's not PLD's (what the wiki says). So you're dealing with MS not Invinci

Did Samursk again just now with exact same strat as last time (DRK WAR SCH SMN). Went down like an absolute sack of shit (PD wore ~15-20% this time). No idea what went so wrong last time.

No drops but expected as no TH.

EDIT: Probably trying the monkey thing in 1-2 hours. Have to do an LS event first.

Just defeated Umagrhk 5 minutes go on real server.

Fight : harder than test server (apprarently, but it might be because under 20% it is retarded). Basically until 25% with embrava it's cake, cure is barely needed. Under 25% he does the 1 hp move+encoumbrance (beastruction) (note : it resists a gimp SCH a lot on test server) - it does it once. One monk had gravity and kited away from mages and died. I had to finish it, and it was quite hard, cure bombed by 2 WHM though I still had embrava (haste was 100% diespeled for some reason etc) and it was systematically putting me in orange every attack.. Anyway we won, lol.

Setup : MNK MNK SCH WHM WHM THF (th 7). No boons at all.

it seems harder on real server because gimp SCH(me) + pchan's mnk got it to 15% in 10min w/o any threat on the test server (until embrava wears off). We did have every possible boon form the NPC though.
