When talking to the Meebles NPC, the option is available to inscribe researcher emeritus feats onto my grimoire. I wasn't aware you could get boons from defeating ermegerk. These inscriptions are really expensive too. 120k to inscribe a level 4 quest onto your book, whereas purchasing the key item obtained from the NM costs 160-240k. Dumb update.

To add, the instructor rank isn't listed, they skipped it. It goes Adjunct, Assistant, Assoc Researcher, Researcher, Researcher Emeritus. Assuming this is a glitch and Assoc Researcher is Instructor, Researcher is Associate Researcher, and Researcher Emeritus is actually Researcher. Can anyone that has bought key items verify this?

That said, I REALLY think they should have had a research marks option for this. For people like me who really don't care about many/any of the marks items, it would make a ton of sense that you could pay research marks for those clears to do bosses faster, essentially sacrificing research marks that you could spend on those items for a chance at the items you do want. Makes a lot more sense than gil if you look at it from that perspective.

Think you need to have either 10 morion or 5 phantoms before he will talk to you to exchange for the random items.

I meant as an alternative to gil, really, not as the only way. Personally I don't care, I'm fine with gil, but the people I go with may not all feel the same. Suppose I can just pay off clears for everyone to farm Akasha Chaps for me. Also, gil makes no sense from a lore perspective unless that Researcher is really just a greedy bastard willing to sneak clears for anyone who pays him off.

Unrelated - if anyone has done or is doing any expeditions post-update, can you please repost here how many marks you get, especially if you do a boss or any run with 4-6 people? Since they upped the marks for 4-6 people, I'm going to have to go through all the expeditions again to figure out how many marks each one gives.

Actually... my group did 8 runs last night, and finishing with Goal 3 on all the runs ended up yielding around 4-4.8k each. Bosses were lowered though, I think Umagrhk was worth around 2200 and Samursk was worth around 1920. Researcher 2, 3, 4, were all worth 4800 points each with 6 people for completing goal #3. Researcher #1 was worth about 4k because we forgot to bring a fishing rod and still killed everything in the run, except the kraken.

So if you go with 6 people and Goal 3 finish all 4 runs, you're looking at around 19.2k (4800x4) marks at least with the Researcher rank of runs.

Side note: The mimic run is messed up marks wise. We had like 2700 in marks according to the opening of chests and exited and we all got 4340 points each.

Holy shit they went up that much? What the hell? When they said it would increase with more people, I figured they just meant the number for 4-6 would be higher than it was before. This means that you actually get way more marks per person when you go with more people. >_>

Oh yeah, with 5 we were getting almost 3k each run.

Was curious as to why they would give us access to 16 of all the numbers out there. Did they say why? Wondering if SE actually planned it so when the new wave of MB happens (3 runs of 5 and a mega boss), it can now be completed in one day.

All have 1 tier, so it's not worth doing multiples of the same buff. You trade the page, and choose one of the three buffs associated with it.
Didn't really notice any absorbs at all, so they're probably really minor buffs.

It's a costume item that turns you into a random treasure chest. Also, you can't move while it's on.

Did they ninja add in Stun immunity for Umagrhk? Wouldn't land from Weapon Bash or Stun when we did it today.

It's always been quite resistant; I recall people having to use ES to land it more than once. They could have adjusted it slightly, I suppose.
