It is content, but, it's not a lot of content. Their Living Story content reminds me soo much of SE's 'give an expansion pack mission every month' crap. If I wasn't going for Twilight right now, I'd have stopped playing weeks ago.

With TESO looking (and playing) like absolute shit, there's really nothing to replace this game outside of going back to WoW or waiting 4 months for FFXIV.
And no, Guild Missions are terrible content. The bosses do have a lot of mechanics to them (moreso than Fractals) but they also scale terribly and scale when randoms walk by. It's difficult to get them when a bunch of shit lickers are on the same one, or people just decide they want to help out by making it more difficult.
Neverwinter Open beta starts tomorrow.
Everything they've done since November has been pretty terrible (with the exception of adding shit that should have been in at launch). I enjoyed SAB but the entire time I was playing it I couldn't help but wonder if their efforts would have been better spent fixing the game or making meaningful content.
Ascended gear was fine until Laurels were introduced. Then they proceeded to dick us over on that by making the new dailies way more of a chore than they had been before, while still keeping achievement points on them, and then as if a slap to the face they added achievement points leaderboards, on top of ruining my favorite and the only really balanced dungeon in the game.
Most of what they've added has been good in theory, but has had the most shit-tastic implementation I have ever seen in an MMO, rivaling FFXI.
In my experience most people either did bounties once or twice, or got to Treks and gave up (let's be real, Treks are a cute gimmick you don't really need to do more than one time). Their loss, because Rush/Challenges are fucking great. And based on what I'm seeing Puzzles are an awesome combination of the two, though I haven't unlocked them myself personally.
Oh, and the rewards are extremely worthwhile. I have a blast doing them. They're almost as fun as observing the epic BG struggle between people who have fun doing something versus people who don't yet do it anyway and bitch.
Can't please everybody.
Previews for spectator and custom arenas on the tube, coming tomorrow:
Reminds me of this episode of Extra Credits.
I haven't seen anything from Neverwinter that didn't make me cringe to be honest (at least as far as it being an MMO or being a long term game). I'd rather catch up on old games than start something like that.
Is there a different way to get commendations/earrings? Oh okay.
Lmao, grind that grind bro. Maybe if you go hard enough you can turn the game into what you want it to be instead of what it is.
bad?
GW2 is suffering from "I don't know wtf I want to be" syndrome. It wants to be a game that rewards you equally for anything you do, allowing you to freely play the game how you want, yet they literally force you to do certain content as it's the ONLY way to get certain ascended items. Make up your fucking mind Anet, until then I won't be playing your game you ruined.
Oh I wouldn't say it's that bad, though yeah I think they need to look into other factors especially if they're dead set on trying to give every class 4+ viable builds
This right here is my general complaint with bounties. Sure with some mobs it's not too bad, but when you get people that just try to zerg down certain ones and fail miserably like Half Baked Komal the fight is just annoying as hell because people won't stop attacking him to allow a coordinated group to strip his stability boon so he can get knocked out of his fire field.
it's not even people attacking him. They scale depending on the people w/in X radius of him. Makes some of them stupid difficult
True, the scale could be done a lot better on a lot of world spawns/bounties. Though normally for me it seems like the scale and people without any tactical sense go hand in hand
update notes are up.

Looks to be as advertised, although I didn't realize the new dungeon was only running for a couple of weeks. Why do they insist on developing temporary content?
Edit: Also, I don't know if anyone else realized this, but the guild bounties are a total ripoff of ffxi ZNM's. I swear a couple of these devs must have played xi, because a whole lot of their content seems to mirror xi events if you think about it.
Welp, time to salvage all of my mesmer's condition damage gear.
and... the entrance to the new dungeon is bugged. This fucking game!
Those Guardian signet updates. <3
