Isnt it just time to accept that Chris Johnson is done? He might have a good game here and there, but so do backups. As a top back in the NFL it may be over for him.

the guy has 30 carries through 3 games. he very well may be done but he is not getting the touches he needs to prove whether he has anything left. A lot of that is because the titans are miserable and playing from behind but a lot of that is because they are trying to prove its jake lockers team and what better way to do that than have him drop back and pass 40 times a game

I almost wish they kept this secret somehow. It would have been funny to hear announcers berate how the game is being called only to be told they are the real guys at halftime.

the difference is, with real refs, we don't have to wonder "what if the best were calling this game..." These guys are the best we'll ever get, and fans can live with that. There will still be complaining, but the best will be in place

I'm less bothered by the refs making the wrong calls (they have made some mind-numbingly retarded calls every year in frankly similar quantity, my favorite being awarding the wrong team the ball in overtime), than the refs losing control of the game. Players and coaches grabbing/shoving refs, and no flags thrown, no ejections given... the players and coaches are doing their damnedest to take control of the game away from the replacements, and they frankly succeeded. This is hellishly bad. But the players will listen to the real refs, the real refs won't tolerate this kind of behavior, and games will take 3 hours instead of four again.

Tight end Kellen Winslow asked to be released by the Patriots and the team obliged Thursday, according to a source.

Winslow had signed a one-year contract with the Patriots on Sept. 19, the team's interest coming after tight end Aaron Hernandez sprained his ankle in a 20-18 loss to the Arizona Cardinals three days earlier. With Hernandez apparently healing faster than expected, Winslow's role on the team might have been affected in the coming weeks as he is a similar type of tight end.

Hernandez has yet to return to practice, but he was spotted in the locker room the last two days walking without the aid of crutches or a protective boot.
