Isn't child support rather unequal though? (correct me if I'm wrong). Like the person paying for it is putting in greater than 50% of the child's expenses? (aka every time you get a promotion, they nail you for even more)

I agree to an extent. I've talked about this before that I feel there's not enough protection for the male side, and things like lying to get pregnant are types of things that really should be looked into. however, at the end of the day, a divorce can cause the expenses given to a child to be severely reduced, and both parents need to be responsible. Dude was married had a kid(s?), so they both need to be responsible for the well-being of their children. It's not the chidlren's fault the mom is lazy. BUt when you bitch about the money instead of bitching about not having your kids 50%+ of the time AND put a general bubble on all woman, then you are suspect in my book.
I like Ksandra, but....that's statement is pure jokes. None of these bitches spend that paper on the kids, they spend it on the next motherfucker that happens to stumble into their life and on themselves.
but the kid needs the new car with the leather seats so he's more comfortable on the ride to school!

I have joint custody, I pay child support. I have no issue with child support, as you say, it is for the child and sufficient for that purpose.
Spousal support/alimony on the other hand is a sick joke. My ex has 2 university degrees and worked the entire 10 years we were together except for the last 2 years. She sank into depression staying home with our child and didn't want to go back to work, instead she wanted to divorce me and collect alimony for life. So far she is succeeding.
and again, if that's the case start getting into court and fight for your kids.
DO NOT get me wrong. I know it's fucking hard for a dad to get custody over the mom. I hate that, and I am a huge supporter of trying to reform child custody to make it easier. My point is not that all ex-wifes are perfect about the money, it's that you should be bitching for your KIDS, not for your money,
Make sure the wifey keeps a job and is financially self sufficient. If you have kids, do NOT allow her to stay home with them beyond maternity leave. Do not put yourself in the position of being the "breadwinner".oh the backpedalingMy ex has 2 university degrees and worked the entire 10 years we were together except for the last 2 years. She sank into depression staying home with our child and didn't want to go back to work,
so you spend 8 years, wife goes into a depression and instantly all women who want to be stay- at home moms are terrible, and that they all want to leave for child support.
Clearly it's her fault for getting depressed, and him not doing something about it for 2 years has nothing to do with it. Raising children is easy anyway, it's not like children are little demons who go through "MUST TOUCH AND CLIMB EVERYTHING" stages and poop constantly, and carry over 9000 diseases from the playground. And aren't born with Kung Fu Grip.
Ksandra, she took the kids and fled 1500 miles away and got Daddy to pay for the divorce.
Do you have any idea how hard and expensive it is for the Father of the children to fight to undo that?
Maybe if more Mom's weren't bat shit crazy and pulling stunts like that, calling cops with false accusations and throwing men in jail as a pretense to secure custody there would be more Dads with 50/50.
hey numbnuts, you might want to relook at your posts. You posted some retarded bubble generalizations even BEFORE aks posted. As I said, I'm a stay-at-home mom. Come at me, bro.
You also have no idea if the father was ok with it. You generalize left and right and give terribad advice. Even this one includes generalizations.
And yet again, I am not saying custody is perfect. and I have said several times in the past I want more protection for the father. That does not mean all women who are stay-at-home and that all women who are divorcees are terrible.
just the women, we are the root of all evil after all.
Wow, I was not going to share this because it is truly NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS...
But have you ever been in an abusive relationship? Ever had a man hold you down on the ground choking your neck? Ever had a man force you to have sex with him, or to blow him? Ever have a man threaten you physical harm just for talking to another man? Even the goddamn cashier at the Wal-Mart?
Yeah, damn right I left that relationship, and I never looked back. I was taken advantage of in the worst way - that man spent all of my money knowing I would be incapable of leaving him. My father did me a HUGE favor in coming to get me, and I'm paying him back because I don't want a handout, not from anyone.
I made a poor choice in marrying him and I regret it, yes. My children are well cared for by family (not going to elaborate on that right now, but both my ex and I are paying their way presently).
Was I to stay in that abusive relationship for the rest of my life? Was I? You want to talk about a shitty situation, I worked my ass off to rise above the abuse I found myself in and I came out triumphant at that. I am working and living on my own, my children are well cared for, and my ex-husband can do whatever he wants, as long as he keeps supporting the children. He doesn't give me a dime, I don't give him a dime, everyone is happy.
Are you happy now? Or should I have stayed and taken constant beat-downs and gotten pregnant on his whims because I had no say in what happened to my body? Which would you think is the better choice? Leaving? Or staying?
Okay then.
I want to be a stay-at-home dad. Not just any stay-at-home dad, but the best stay-at-home dad. If there is a stay-at-home dad triathlon, I want to win it. Any rich ladies want to volunteer to be my sponsor? I really think we can go all the way.
Don't worry if you don't want to be pregnant/have kids yourself. I promise to cheat on you for the sake of my career and our mutual goal of winning the stay-at-home dad-athlon.
Aks, you are not allowed to bitch about saving yourself and your kids because it's a law.
he, however, is allowed to bitch about money because it's a law.
get it right.
