depends on where you're employed, really. one of the CCU nurses at a place i worked at years ago was a porn star (as in, still putting videos out at the time), everyone knew, not a fuck was given. about anywhere else i've worked in the medical field, eh, no.
lol why didn't I look at this thread earlier.
Seriously though like others said. If you are serious about being in the medical field. Don't. No offense but a guy doing a gay porn would be treated as a "scandal" if it was found out later. I suspect most hospitals in the US would fire you the same day.
i dunno they would fire you on the spot. don't think it's illegal to do porn. going to depend on the terms of your employment contract, as far as immediate termination goes. as far as moving up in your organization after it comes out though, i think you could pretty safely hang that up. wouldn't want to be in that position if there is ever another reason (legitimate or not) for them to scrutinize you. hospital administrators can be pretty fucking ruthless.
then again, if they ARE dumb enough to fire you for being in pr0n without something ironclad from your contract, laugh maniacally to all the way to the bank as you sue them into oblivion. play the gay discrimination card and you'll be golden, sir. they'd be so afraid of an EEO complaint they'd settle out of court, quickly.
best of luck to you, whichever way you choose to go with this. we need good docs more than we need porn stars. just sayin.
I'm still not seeing how people can see porn as taboo anymore. Being in porn is another job, the money is there and because we're MURICA, porn has job security. I would consider those who put in asterix on their resume *Worked in numerous porns, drive a porsche and already paid off my house as a huge incentive to a hard worker and a strong willed go-getter. This goes along with other requirements I would seek, like degrees, certs, etc.
If you get busted, just tell your boss it was amateur proctology
Do it and if anything bad happens in the future, then it was a lesson learned. Or don't do it if you're paranoid you might get fucked by yer joarb. Either way you get fucked though! amirite?! amirite?! hohohohoho
Personally, I wouldn't do it only because I have severe sexual awkwardness/anxiety. I would be terrible in a porn. I'm cum shy and everything, guh. Just thinking about it is making me anxious.
The odds of some one, let alone a boss or colleague finding out seems pretty low. They have to: A) be gay (or sexually confused) B) Watch gay porn, and C) actually know you in order to recognize you. With that said, it's up to personal choice and if you can live with having a dark skeleton in your closet. (Dear god, the puns)
Obligatory Porn Name: Dusty Samson
it's a hospital. they breed intrigue like they breed germs. people have no idea.
What's so hard, no pun, about getting fucked in the ass? If anything is the opposite lol. Now, if you said you've swung a hammer all day and dug ditches, that's something I'd buy. Anyway, if you're getting cornholed at least wear a gorilla mask. Also AIDS.
Edit: Most of the time chicks have underlying reasons and end up getting into porn, mostly profound psychological problems.
not the entire internet; just bg
I fap to the thought of myself. I wonder if that makes me gay.
Pass.
I go out of my way to not be obnoxious because I know I'm a shit poster. I have fantastic grammar but shit for eloquence when it comes to saying what I'm thinking so it all comes out stilted and boring. Also I want so badly to be funny but I just end up being lame.
Enough about me though, let's talk about Rhyis and his narcissism.
I hate to come off like an asshole but even considering this makes me question your resolve to pursue your future career and make it through medical school.
The problem isn't 'what is wrong with porn?' The problem is 'how would people potentially react?' I mean, there are plenty of people who enjoy smoking pot and don't feel that it should be illegal, but if they are serious about getting a job, they probably abstain from it. I know the two aren't totally comparable but the essence is the same. The fact of the matter is that there probably are people out there who would judge you on this and have their decisions swayed by it.
The odds are low, but f you are serious about your desired future, you wouldn't chance it. Especially in the medical field - I'd like to think that my doctors and nurses made consistent decisions based on how it would impact their future because that is the kind of care I want from them for my health.
