Hey all. Quick poll-ish sorta thing here.

Okay so there is this woman I occasionally need to work with on projects. (2 different offices see each other 2x a week for a couple hours, related work).

We hit it off really well. I get the feeling she wants me to ask her out. Which in itself is fine. She's down to earth, smart and fairly attractive.

One thing "scares" me away. Her Christianity. I was raised Catholic and went to private school for 12 years. I have absolutely no use for the church anymore. I'm somewhere between agnostic and atheist. To her, it is a massive part of her life. I mean, bible studies 3x a week, youth night on Fridays, and church on Sundays. She only has Thursday and part of Saturday to do anything, and that's dedicated to something else entirely (which isn't really relevant).

She goes to retreats, the whole shebang. I really don't know what to do about it, because I know it's important to her, but unless was necessary, want nothing to do with it. I mean I suppose I could go to one thing a week if I had to for her if it ever came up. I know it would come up sooner or later, she would want me to go to X function.

Run for cover, proceed as planned? I have no idea.

my new wife was raised by born-again christian parents, went to a conservative christian bible college (BIOLA), and believes in god.

However, by the time I got to her she wasn't going to church regularly, was "normal" in terms of sex, etc.

Religion can be just as much a social network for some people (if that's what all their friends are into) as anything. It's not like you're considering marrying her, you're looking to take her on a date. I'd say, go for it, don't be a pussy, and just keep an eye on things. If shit gets too real with Jesus, then bail. Otherwise, don't throw out the babe with the holy water.

To put it into perspective, I work with a latina girl who is uber-religious. I'm not even dating her or anything (she's married anyway, poor guy, plus she would tell me to burn in hell or w/e the fuck the instant she found out I was gay lol), and I can barely stand just working with her. Now, for comparison, she only does bible study once a week. Just by the fact that your chick does it THREE TIMES (wtf..?) a week just tells me she's triple the crazy. Stay away.
