2 friends and I are attempting to build ADL sets. We had no problem thf, melee, mage farming all of the odious items, but we're trying to figure out the best course of action for the NMs themselves. We tried BST x3 today and while it worked, it was slow as hell. Any recommendation job wise for a group of 3 to kill all of the demon NMs? Thanks

I had read in a thread on FFXIAH that elemental belts offered not much in the way for Victory Smite, is that true? Says that VS is 5.5ftp and that the .1 from the belt would make it a 1.7% damage upgrade, which belts would be better (in a good, better, best set)?

Depends what kind of numbers you're thinking of - I'm sure with 36 it'd be possible, but I have a hard time imagining that you could do it with fewer people than a normal melee+rngs strat. Odin does a decent amount of status stuff, and Zante-Kai would kill/near kill anything in a forward cone.

I was thinking 18 (I didn't know you could bring more than that, lol). Is zantetsuken kai not subject to -PDT like other throat stab moves? If it is, it would only be doing 54% max hp to bst pets with basic pdt gear.

How much hp/defense/evasion does he have?

How hard to the adds hit? Could a single pld + healer just hold all of them?

Kai isn't a throat stab, it just takes 90% of your max hp away. (kills if under 91%) Have had wonky times where it did less(wasn't stoneskin), not sure why though.

Decided I want a Moonshade Earring, but haven't done any WotG yet. How quickly could I get through the whole mission line, and is the whole thing soloable on BST?

Some of the missions/quests that require you to keep an npc alive might give you trouble on bst.

Like the one where it's you + lilsette against the two purple rdm af guys. I tried this one on bst/dnc, than bst/mage a couple times, and I could not keep her alive at all at level 90, regardless of whether my pet tanked 1 or both of them. It's easy to solo just cure bombing her on a real mage job thou.

The dungeon fight/escort quest in the bastok line with the sch npc might be close to impossible. The quadavs tend to swarm the npc (who seemed to take increased damage from everything), ignore hate mechanics, and spawn in waves. It's a joke on blu at 99, but I don't see how bst could handle it.

Re-meritting my elv should I go full str or throw a few points into dex for Ddex? I play War,nin,blu,bst, and drk soon.

STR and DEX. You can merit both now.

They increased the cap on stat merit points. You can merit +12 STR and +12 DEX at the same time now.

Did they nerf aura steal at some point? I sware 5/5 merits used to be 100% absorb rate, but it's definitely not anymore. Similarly I sware there were some statuses you used to be able to steal but you can't now (Wamoura haste? Thought you could steal that, but I haven't successfully once recently).

I dunno about the accuracy, but I don't think wamoura haste was ever stealable by anything.

There are plenty of things Aura Steal can't steal/dispel in and outside abyssea. I've stopped paying attention/be bothered, but Sisyphus' Shock Spikes still annoys me a lot even now. You could always ask SE to fix it/make it work just as described. (good luck )
