Thanks for the pointers! Did Temenos today, wiped several times to the Ghrah train. RDM, NIN, SAM, BRD as setup. Finally figured out that adds need to be killed first before the main ghrah. But timed out. The main ghrah seems to have ridiculous PDT. Using Dia III and enblizzard was barely chipping away at it (kannagi nin, amano/masa sam). Enblizzard was doing random dmg from 0 to 27. Any other ideas?
Didn't get to try the flower NM, but the aerns were easy enough.
Flower NM is the easiest. I'd recommend starting with him next time. You can also pull the helpers off the back of the Ghrah train if you're careful about it. They link with the main Ghrah but not each other. Overall, the best way to do this zone involves a WHM/BLM that doesn't mind sac pulling. That makes the Euvhi pull easy and lets you pick the helpers off the Ghrah safely.
So I'm trying to create a mule for the first time and I'm completely lost in the process. I made a new Square Enix ID, added my credit card info, tried to add a service, but when I put in my CD Key from Steam it told me I couldn't add expanded services because a service doesn't exist or something. I also tried to add my security token to the account but it kept telling me the serial number was incorrect, but I guess that might be because there's no service associated with the account yet?
Can anyone help me out with where I need to go and what I need to do? The whole Square Enix account management thing is a case study on how not to do things.
Edit: Figured out where I was supposed to enter the CD key but now it's telling me it's already been used, when it definitely hasn't been. What a nightmare...
Two questions:
- What are the best 3 atma's for BST soloing in abyssea (just got DG a bit ago, so I know that one, but un-sure of the other two)
- What is the best way to catch up on Voidwatch. I have litterly fought like 3 voidwatch mobs, i have 910 stones or something, but i don't know if there are quests i need to activate, or what...
--Are any of the lower tiers BST solo'able?
--Do i need to have any certain KItems to go on the numerous Voidwatch Shouts in PJ?
How to get onto test server with windower? Methods I used to use aren't seeming to work.
Load NQ POL (Don't input info) > Windower GUI > Launch > Quickly change screens to the Vanilla POL > Wait for the windower screen to load behind that window > Use Windower screen.
Would an SMAA injector work with this game or is the code too ghetto? I think the playonline and ffxi running from the same process is messing it up, and I figured if it worked there would be posts about it somewhere, but I'll ask just in case since these are new to me and I like it much better than FXAA :3
Is Samursk doable as MNK, WHM, and a third which can be BLM SCH or NIN?
With embrava definitely.
Ok I've been trying to get Argute Loafers from Dynamis Bubu for about 3 weeks now. I have since gotten every other AF drop but the loafers. Killing Orc beastmen to at least be getting bronze for relic weapons. Should I be trying Quadav or Yagudo instead? Move on to DC mobs?
I've kept the Relic armor drops in inventory in hopes of "forcing" the loafers to drop, but my question is how do armors act in dreamland dynamis with regards to drop slots? The shoes are not in my inventory by any means, I've checked a million times because its insane to me that I've gone 0 for 19 so far.
Should I bother trying to skill up smning magic if I'm not going to be using it for favor effects or PD?
Can VWNMs pop at different levels? Or does wiping make the next one spawn tougher (like do they gradually rage and not reset or something?).
Because I was trying Cor/War Last Stands on Ig-Alima after discussing it in the Whats Better? thread. Parsed first fights with Pot-Au-Feu and hunters, and swapped to RCB for the last two.
My buffs were the same, my hunters roll number was the same (11), my gear was the same (Chat, Rose, Arma, Orich, Thau, Ele Gorget, Alt/Wil, Kudzu, Thau, Stormsoul x2, Terebellum, Ele Belt, Thau, Thau). My distance was the same (7.8~ was giving pummelling message). And yet on the first pop (wiped at 60%, no procs) out of 7 Last Stands, six were 2/2 and one was 1/2. On the second pop (wiped again, no procs again..) again with 7 last stands, two were 2/2, four were 1/2 and one was a complete miss.
That's a drop from over 90% hit rate to around 50%. Is that just RNG being RNG?
Oh, also. RCBs quite obviously don't have Ranged Attack on them. My average 2/2 Last Stands and ranged TP damage was higher with Pot-Au-Feu (with berserk not up fulltime) than it was with RCB and berserk up fulltime. Why the hell does Red Curry have Ratt on it but buns dont? Fuck you SE.
All indications have been that VWNMs cannot pop at different levels unless you Phase Displacer them.
Really? Cuz long time ago I saw dmg dropped when I changed to Pot-Au-Feu on Qilin, so I always thought RCB has rattk on them. I find it kinda hard to believe RCB don't have rattk on them....
Things that may affect your dmg:
Do you have DRG in ally? Maybe angon not up?
Maybe your dia2 was overwritten by bio2? But the one with higher dmg nobody used bio2?
If your ally doesn't overwrite dia2 and you light shot it, it can go higher, and vice versa etc.
It may be very possible that the fight you got higher avg ppl didn't overwrite dia. (If I'm using last stand or fighting something that dmg matters, sometimes I ask mages don't bio2 unless they know bio2 is a proc spell)
Or maybe just RNG really, most of my WS avg are different every fight too even if all the setup was the same, if it's 200 difference maybe it's just RNG.
Edit: Or maybe your ally ninja used weakened item, then ran out of it afterward.
Probably just randomness. Given the low sample size they could be the same.
As far as RCBs go they do give ratt. Semi apparent if you shoot something then eat one and take out 7 str in gear. However it seems like less than red curry. According to various sources buns have half the cap of the curry (though regular attack is the same). Don't think I've seen anything about pots that even gave a percise percentage that they gave let alone what the cap is (why they can't just display ratt is beyond me) so it might be more. Or at least close enough where as stated above me other things in battle can do more
