I'm a gaijin

For people that don't know gaijin is a word that can be used to describe a foreigner.

I hardly ever got called a gaijin. The only people who used it were old men/women who don't know any better. The same way how your grandma still refers to black people as negros. (Excluding any racist assholes, which I was lucky enough not to meet). i would never refer to myself as a "gaijin".

Yareyare, as mentioned is a "Oh dear oh dear"/"Oh my oh my" sort of expression. Yada sounds similar but that's an exclamation meaning No/Stop it! etc. I think yareyare might be more of an Osaka thing but I'm not sure, it got more popular by westerners due to what's his face the mad scientist guard captain out of Bleach. Bleach has a lot of Osaka-isms iirc.

The only japanese phrases I really remember from my time there were 温めてあげる (I was working in the ski resort, it was a good chat up line) and お前はもう死んでいる because Kenshiro is fucking boss.

Should add a note to this that if you use too much cure spellcast reduction, the game will not register your mid-cast potency swap and you'll lose the potency. Depends on server lag and the like, but it's usually something around 50-70% for me (big window, I know, but it depends on where I am and how much lag I'm experiencing).

As a general note in response to the original question, anything that affects the casting time of a spell has to be equipped before the cast. Anything that affects anything else about a spell (potency, accuracy, recast time, enmity, whatever), has to be equipped when the spell goes off.

You're probably ignoring dark magic 99% of the time because 11 dark magic skill is ~1 tick and the duration is going to be around 2 minutes with normal/capped dark magic skill, so you're talking less than 2% extra damage per tick. If you have gear options where you can have dark magic along with INT/MAB, then those considerations may come into play some more, but I can't really think of a single piece like that. I generally gear Kaustra the same way I would gear for a Helix, although it may need some optimization. The INT modifier on Kaustra is huge, even more biased than helixes are.

Maybe goes without saying, but if you're really interested in maxing out the damage, you certainly will want Xsaeta I if you don't have it.

I always assumed it was just a 4% overall increased rate. I ask because on spreadsheet it puts 4% automatically on each daggger, and total crit rate from gear gets totaled to 8%(+any other from gear).

I know its 4% on first swing and another 4% on second, but since its two swings shouldn't it balance out to a flat 4%?

Correct. Wearing Lux and some plain dagger would amount to a 4% increase in critical hit rate across the board(ignoring DEX bonuses). If you were wearing two Lux somehow, you'd have an 8% increase in critical hit rate.

Oh yeah, bigbomb, I think it's worth noting for people looking for JP VW shouts that 〆 is a symbol JPs use to signify a shout is full. Also worth noting "一旦〆" for when they get flooded with tells and they want to stop tells to them until they shout again.
