It's all depends what kind of content you do; both drk and war are decent atm, drk is better when you can use souleater every mob or every other mob and no MS is involved ( non Mul Legion, VW, ADL) and War is better for Watcher/Mul/ADL if you reset every pop ect.
For Meeble I prefer DRK for boss cause of stun and war for kill all mob cause of FC.

As Jem said if you're not lazy can just level both, only annoying piece to get on war that drk doesn't use are af2+2augmented.

ps: I just realized that on Pchan math Pup dps > drk dps and that doesn't even include the puppet and here some people thought pup wasn't a good dd !

I did the first few MNK+WHM but then just went NIN(me)+SAM/THF(mule) and brew locked them using Jinpu with my mule. Cap amber and farm chest on NIN, run Dragua over to the martello and brew him. Rinse and repeat, was a super fast and easy trial. You can run Dragua past the martello and start each brew with a SA+Jinpu.

I don’t dual box (wish I did though) but I do generally have 1 or 2 friends that will help. Mnk+Whm would be more for non-brewing situations but I like your method better.
I can brew and have friend farm Gold chests.

What would be the optimal brew weapon/skills/Atma combo for brewing Dragua? Sam is at subjob level with very little desire to level it.
You suggesting Jinpu for Wind WeaponSkill vs. Earth mob?
What others would be ideal? Would Thf with AE or Cyclone not go as well?

I can kill about 5 Orthrus with 1 brew using Cloudsplitter on lolbst or war, but I assume that wouldn’t fare as well on Dragua (thunder WS vs Earth Mob)

For all extensive purposes, NIN is subbing war in abyssea.
Club NIN + WAR
Dagger NIN. WAR if proper SJ (THF RDM BRD RNG DNC NIN, none of which are proper SJ's in abyssea)
Great Katana NIN, WAR/SAM with an event GKT can hit Jinpu, can skill up to Koki with GKT merits and a mix of Bushi/Justice Torque, Hachimaki
Great Sword WAR, no All Jobs GSD exists
Katana NIN, WAR if /nin with merits and katana+ gear (and war doesnt sub nin in abyssea)
Polearm WAR, NIN with pitchfork
Scythe WAR, NIN with Ark Scythe
Staff NIN + WAR
Sword NIN + WAR

NIN can hit more procs, presuming you have access to a pitchfork and ark scythe.

What does that even mean? People bring war to aby to proc red (or cleave), if subbing /nin or /dnc lets you cover more red procs while farming emp items(that you don't otherwise have covered), why wouldn't you do it? A war/notsam is still going to grossly outdamage a nin/war anyway.

Nin/war and war/nin both have access to 12/13 procs with holiday items, nin is just easier to farm with due to auto-cap evasion + 4-5 shadow utsu + subtle blow.

The only thing that really sucks about having all 13 red procs on WAR is that you have to go WAR/NIN for katana, thus you need to have bushi.

Beaten to it, but no. The big thing 2handers have going for them is hasso while having high haste buffs. Take away hasso and war is not impressive at all. Nin is going to do more damage, and be way easier to 2box with because of their evasion.

If a character exits a mission BCNM/battlefield without leaving the zone, but someone in the party goes on to complete the mission, does it still count as a win? I would assume not, but I want to be sure.

Does nin really do that much more white damage than war when you factor in retaliation? The difference in ws is huge.

For war/nin to have 175 gkt skill for koki, you'd need to have both bushinomimi and that obscure ring from dynamis unless I'm missing something. The event gkt also hasn't been available for years, so you can't set up any post aby dual-box accounts to do it. Seems impractical to say the least.

Yar, the problem with fanboys like you taint and jem is they don't read what is being compared. Yes PUP AM3 mythic is 2.5% better than ragnarok - ON THE WEAK SETUP. You look surprised ? The difference from the spreadsheet is explained in the thread : I used BG-wiki info on stringing pummel while motenten uses 10% base crit. Unfortunately there seems to be about 2 competent enough people on BG to determe which is correct.

In my last post post of the thread I also have pup even better with enfire up.

Against a mob with massive crit rate reduction and where Acc matters which gives a huge advantage to the Ragna. Nobody is saying Ragna WAR > Ukon WAR under normal circumstances.

Also note you have Ragna at 680 DPS whilst Ccl had it at 813 DPS under the same buffs (and no Souleater).

Can you post what Ragna gear you used please? I can't see it in that thread to put it through the spreadsheet myself.
