And it's exactely what I was doing, under the assumption that Klimaform would have gave me more macc and more damage as well (thanks to AF3+2 boots).
Still, I stopped for a second and wondered if by any chance my assumption was wrong and Intension gives way more Macc than Klimaform does.
(aside from the "small" difference that klimaform gives you macc only for the element of your currently active weather)
does healing "magic casting time -12%" from orison pantaloons+2 apply to cure spells or only -n1/erase/etc?
also: my current set is
arkaIV/dominie's grip/incantor stone
orison+2/aceso's choker/orison earring/roundel earring
orison bliaud+2/hieros mitts/prolix ring/whatever
medala cape/witful beltorison pantaloons +2/zenith pumps (-7% casting time, +2% potency).
It caps cure potency, but im overkill on fast cast/cure casting im pretty sure.
How much total casting time reduction/fast cast do you need in gear to reach the cap? (assuming /RDM and max merit).
anybody know what the name of the old program that would make a new windower macro txt with whatever you have equipped? can't find it in my hd's for the life of me
Hm. I am helping a friend start his character and I farmed yag necklaces to get him enough Norg fame and i got his riceball price down to 155g which wasn't enough fame to flag the Utsusemi: Ichi quest. I ended up farming more to lower the price to 150g which was enough to flag it.
My guess was that fame decreased over time bc 1 of my own characters has a 160g price and I did that quest ages ago (when maybe at one point I had a lower riceball price). So I suppose the riceball price ranges set on the wiki is not an accurate indicator of fame in Norg?
Thanks, found it right after I asked lol.
Another question:
How feasible is getting anything worthwhile out of neonyzul without...stuff... these days?
Can always farm to F80 5x per piece <.<
But by stuff do you mean stuff do u mean stuff like powder boots? defefinenty doable if your competant.
Stuff like 3rd party apps like windower/apradar? Just as doable so long as your party is competant.
Without "stuff" like 3rd party apps that fleehax and such. Same as above, since I never used these and have won before.
I only started doing it after they made it easier, and while we don't win every tag, we've gotten at least 100 win every time we go with 4 tags. This is with DRK SAM MNK THF SCH SCH.
Yes I went THF....... Going WAR next week though lol
I'm coming up on 50 Primacy Plans and, assuming access to Nares, what is the best order to upgrade Morrigan's +1 from the standpoint of BLM/SCH/lolRDM?
I plan to do Body > Feet > Legs > Hands > Head and just want to make sure I'm not missing something glaringly obvious.
That order is good.Body > Feet > Legs > Hands > Head
Random question about pets and TH.
Situation 1:
If your pet has TH (LuckyFalcorr, DipperYuly, etc) does he need to perform an action on the target to make it stick, or is it enough if you attack? (I guess no, but just wondering if anybody tested)
Situation 2:
You have TH, your pet doesn't (PUP/THF, for example). If your pet performs an action on the target, will it count to stick TH on it even if actually it's the master who has TH and not the pet? (I guess yes, in this case, because engaging the pet should already count as an action performed on the target by the master, no?)
Both, anything classified as "healing magic" (which, for the record, does not include erase - it's enhancing). The "Divine Benison" part is Fast Cast and Enmity- specifically for status removal spells (including Erase).
Are you talking about reaching the cap or are you talking about reaching the value where you cast so fast that you can no longer swap cure potency gear reliably before the cure spell gets off? Based on what you said above it looks like you're going for a hybrid set so I guess it doesn't matter in this particular instance. Generally speaking, I think casting time reduction caps at -80%? In any case you get 15% reduction from RDM sub and 20% from max merits, so if the cap is 80% then you need 45% reduction from gear to cap. I'm counting 43% reduction on your gear, which would leave you just 2% shy of the cap (assuming 80% is correct). For all intents and purposes you're capped, though, 2% cast time isn't going to make any observable difference.
Do you still need fire resist set if you were to to dual/trio Tiamat @99?
For first Morrigan's +1 piece (INT on Nares assumes +5):
Feet:
Nares (7 m.acc, 7 MAB, 5 INT) vs. Morrigan's +1 (9 MAB, 9 INT, enm-7)
[[-7 m.acc, +2 MAB, +2 INT, gain enm-7]]
Body:
BLM/RDM: Nares (14 m.acc, 8 MAB, 14 INT, enm-5) vs. Morrigan's +1 (13 MAB, 12 INT)
[[-14 m.acc, +5 MAB, -2 INT, lose enm-5]]
SCH: SCH+2 (11 m.acc, 11 MAB, 12 INT, enm-20 on addendum spells) vs. Morrigan's +1 (13 MAB, 12 INT)
[[-11 m.acc, +3 MAB, = INT, lose enm-20 on addendum spells]]
BLM/RDM: From a pure damage perspective, you'll benefit more from upgrading body first (4 INT vs 3 MAB is the comparison between the nares/morri feet swap and nares/morri body swap), but from an overall piece perspective, you're losing more on the body considering BLM and RDM have easily obtainable refresh+2 options.
For SCH specifically, feet would certainly be first for nuking damage alone. Body is not much improvement over SCH Emp+2 body as far as nuking damage is concerned and you'll benefit more frmo the feet upgrade (4 INT vs 1 MAB is the comparison between nares/morri+1 feet swap and sch+2/morri+1 body swap). Should, however, note that Morri+1 body has 2 refresh, in case you don't otherwise have access to a 2 refresh body on SCH (not sure that there is another one besides Manasa Chasuble). Other than the refresh, because the body and feet both lack m.acc they really have no little to no utility on any of those three jobs aside from nuking.
So really you could probably go either way on the first two, just up to you. Agree on the order of the remaining if you're dead set on 5/5, but I don't see you getting much use out of any of it (really should go for Akasha Chaps if you have the means to do so).
Dippery Yuly or Faithful Falcorr only needto hit the mob 1x to put treasure hunter on it.
when pup/thf, you need to take some action on the mobs yourself to apply treasure hunter. It will not work to let pet completely solo the mob.
On another note, I have a question:
Has there been any testing on the occasional 2.5 damage from relics as far as what the rate is?
I"m trying to figure how to include this estimate when comparing weapons in DPS spreadsheets.
Well not necessarily attack with a melee hit. An AoE TP move will be enough if it hits another mob (very easy with Yuly's noi-something powder).
Unless I'm wrong, but I pretty much think it works
Yeah but Automaton, unlike the pet, won't attack mobs on his own will. And to engage the automaton on a certain target, that's actually an action that you (the master) performs on the target. Wouldn't that count towards applying TH?when pup/thf, you need to take some action on the mobs yourself to apply treasure hunter. It will not work to let pet completely solo the mob.
I seem to remember from old days in my dynaLS when we had a THF/mage job that you don't necessarily need to produce damage, but just to get on the hate list of the mob. If you perform an action that puts you into a certain target's hate list, then that target should receive the TH effect, no?
Now that I think about I wonder how this works with BST and Snarl.
If I snarl my hate on a non-engaged pet, would that count for the application of pet TH on the target?
