Ok, odd question. Just did Odin II and had our first embrava wear shortly after seven minutes on and our second embrava wore off after five. Am I missing something odd or should I account this to some messed spellcast post-cast issue. Had this happen on three separate parties so not overly sure what in the hell happend.

Agreed it does, but our 'add' dd party was no where near odin adding to the fact that kaustra was not casted at any point. Confirmed that through logs already.

5 minutes sounds like perp didnt go off, 7 minutes is odd though. I'm not exactly sure what collection of buffs would cause it to last 7 minutes.

Only thing I can think of for the 7 min was maybe they recasted it and also forgot perpetuance. But as far as I know sch doesn't get anything that increases duration of spells by themselves and there is no buff locking anymore... so that should be the only non glitch way of doing it.

Having an entire allaince killing tons of your mob for you while you just debuff it... seems pretty dang good to me. Think slimes is one of the few mob types not in abyssea. Well outside of fistule lol

So, two part mathy/testing question:

1) Has anyone ever tested to see if off/non-mainhand hits of a crit WS also gain the crit % bonus from tp of the WS, similar to how ftp bonus from tp wses don't (until merit wses) transfer their bonus to off/secondary hits? A friend was parsing Stringing Pummel values and they were coming out significantly lower than expected, while victory smite was coming out very close to the expected values, so I'm wondering if the error could be caused by that, since SP is 6hit with a relatively large crit boost (which would skew expected values much more if they don't actually get it), and Smite is 3-hit with a relatively small boost.

2) Assuming it hasn't been tested and confirmed one way or the other, would the following be a suitable way to test it/is there some more obvious or thorough way?
Use Blade: Hi + offhand weapon
Get my crit rate up to 100% (70 atmas, 20 base/ddex, 10 in gear) in abyssea without the crit rate bonus from WS
Obtain a sample of WSes (probably 50 for time's sake) on EM targets of the same camp, making sure not to sub WAR or wear any multihit gear on WS, and throwing out any numbers where 1 of the hits obviously misses
Lower my crit rate down to ~90%, while trying to keep my agi/str/att in as close as possible to the same place. This should force the main hand to crit still, since it's a +15% at 100 tp mod, but if the offhand does not get this mod, it will be at 90% chance still
Obtain another sample of WSes in the same manner
Look for any obviously lower damage from not critting on the offhand.

I'm not sure what you're describing is possible with a reasonable sample size.

At capped Ratio with 200 AGI:
200*.6*.85 = 102 base damage from mods
Kannagi 90 = 55 base damage from weapon, 14 from fSTR
D171 total

Critical Hits will have pDIF from 2.625 ~ 3.15 ( 448 ~ 538 for the offhand :: 1792 ~ 2152 for the main hand )
Non-crits will have pDIF from 1.56 ~ 2.5 ( 266 ~ 427 for the offhand )

You'd have to look for WS damages below 2240 (* Crit damage) to be sure that you had a non-crit. Considering there's a 15% chance of non-crit with an 85% crit rate, and then you'd have to roll below 3.0 pDIF on the main hand (which is rare), you'd basically be leaving the results of your test up to luck. I can't even begin to guess what a suitable sample size would be.


At 1.0 Ratio with 200 AGI:
Critical Hits will have pDIF from 1.56 ~ 2.5 ( 266 ~ 427 for the offhand :: 1067 ~ 1708 for the main hand)
Non-crits will have pDIF from 0.71 to 1.365 ( 121 ~ 233 for the offhand)

This time you would need to WS below 1333 (* Crit damage - Crit defense bonus) to be sure that you had a non-crit. I think this may actually be the way to go. Your most common values for the offhand are going to be 171~179 damage, which means that you will need to roll low on the mainhand but not absurdly so. I'd use Razed Ruins, Sanguine Scythe, and Gnarled Horn with about 10% crit rate in gear (Thaumas hat, Iga back, Athos's Tabard, Athos's Tights if you have them - along with Iga neck, and Qirmiz Tathlum if you can), then go thwack Bluffalos.

This was done assuming 90 Kannagi with a D55 offhand (not possible unless you have a Tobi +3 around) - You want a high base damage offhand. Kakesu would work. It'll slightly change the numbers.

Not the whole zone. Enter from behind the paintbrush door and go to H-11 on that map. One guy pulls north/east/south and another guy pulls west. You'll get a lot of damned tonberries and you'll want Phalanx. If the WHM has RDM, I'd have him go RDM.

Can be done with 3-4, definitely. Our shell did a group of 4-6 characters until we got comfortable with it, then switched to 2 groups of 3 and have been fine (some runs can get a little rough and have to skip most the alex farming, though that doesn't hurt as much with the guaranteed linen from the boss).

Most non-bosses can be done with 4 easily, 3 may be a little low for some. With 6, Bosses vary from afk snore fests to kind of annoying, so you may have trouble clearing some with only 4.

Tried a run this morning, trying to use my TP more for killing, and only using the Shoulder Tackle method if I ended up with 3-4 mobs due to linking. There were other people fighting the same mobs, but it didn't affect what I could pull, so considering it the same as competition-free. Ended up with 157 coins, which is sufficiently lower than my usual that I'd consider the method shift to be detrimental, though it's not really too far off.

It could be that I'm not quite doing it the same as you are, since you mention only proc'ing half your mobs, while I still proc'd 77/79. My normal method procs 90+, though.

I was under the assumption that killing faster > waiting to proc, so I pretty much killed as fast as I could, getting as many procs as possible in that time. That may be useful with a higher TH, so I'll definitely try your method, seems way better than mine.
