war or drk, powder boots, 5/5 resolution and you're good to go. Find 2 schs and 3 other heavy dd (a well geared thf is nice for the triple drops offa 100 boss but meh). NNI is tarded easy atm since the nerf; just don't suck at lamp orders.

lolRDM and all that, but how much fastcast in gear does a RDM need to cap FC? 30% in traits, so 50% in gear (10 from af hat, 10 from relic body, etc up to 50)?
Friend wants to solo Contaminated Colosseum for BB item, was thinking about going either SAM or WAR. Masa is 90, Ukon is 85, no NNI gear, mostly just AF3+2/misc VW gear, no bodies. Any chance in hell that's possible? I haven't done it since 75 cap, and I'm mostly skeptical. Friend also has BST, which I alternatively suggested, but was dead set on going SAM or WAR. If I help, I'd probably go NIN, lol85Kannagi.
edit: sooo I guess you can do on SAM with no 2 hour, I guess. Meditate, Shoha, Meditate, Sekkanoki, Sengikori, 2x Fudo was able to get it done. He was lucky, though, since he was about to get hit with EBB. And I had to camp that NM pre-level cap in caves for days, meh. Got Senju and vine in crate, 1/1. /qq
Any ideas as to why I was crashing in Gerhilde's Chamber every two seconds? I tried logging back in three times and crashed ten seconds after logging in every time. I ended up waiting until the chabmer was clear and then logging in and quickly dropping my lamp. I'm out and running around now and everything is normal.
Is Armada really worth the 15-20 mil or is NQ ebody just as good?
Don't have DRK at the moment so would it be that much of an improvement over af3+2 war body for TP or phorcys for ws?
I think you would have to get the absolute max DA and STP on nq to make NQ ebody your best bet for TP body. With HQ I don't think you need the max of both stats, and I think there are more flexibility with x-hit builds with the full bonuses.
The main thing I would say though, is you might end up spending millions, or farming tatters for a long long time, before you get optimal/best stats. And if you are going to spend that much gil/investment on augmenting it then its preferable to do it on the higher end version, rather than at a latter date going through it again on HQ.
I had nq ebody before augments were released, so I will eventually throw some kind of augment on it and compare it with alternatives in spreadsheet, but eventually I am going to want a HQ one, so I don't plan to use too many tatters at all. If you have just the abjuration, or planning to get one, I suggest just saving it until you can get HQ, unless you're able to get another one back in the future easily.
edit: On another note, with new expansion coming and the always possibility of something to one up augment hq ebody, might sway your decision. The fact that they added such good augment possibilities to it to keep it relevant at 99 cap, suggest that it might stick around being top tier for a while.
Got a double drop from Odin last night, so might be able to refarm one easily but also don't have enough for the -1 atm, would have to start saving. With seeker's coming out soon it has me hesitant to spend all my money and then something tops it again.
Another question: Windbuffet worth it for SAM ws? or is quad neck+ele belt good enough?
Biggest thing to remember is that the only benefit to getting rank 3 in a given mission is greater boon potency; if you get 1 and don't think you're going to get 3, you might as well just hit your Terminus Whistle and move on.
This might not sound like a huge deal but it can shave a half hour off an already-quick full progress boss run.
EDIT: You have two books: a boon book and a progress book. One, you use to get rank 3 clears in different missions to maximize the number of boons you have for boss runs. The other, you use to open up and defeat the bosses themselves. This is an important distinction because clearing a boss erases all progress you've made in the book you used to access it; having a separate book full of rank 3 boons that you never use to initiate a boss fight means you never lose them, as I understand it.
What this all means is that if you have something resembling a reliable static with talented and geared players, IMO it's a better use of your time with them to do non-boss runs ramping up your various boons rather than actual boss runs, at least at first. Rank 1 on any given mission is piss-easy and that's all you'll need to get to the boss, which may not be especially easy for a pug you put together in Jeuno, but becomes way easier when you carry them with a full range of Rank 3 boons.
Optimal nuke sets for BLM and SCH?
That's a really open ended question....did you want to at least throw a situation out there?.....
If MACC completely a non-issue,
Magian/Wizzan/---/Ombre
Nares/Stoicheon/Hecate/Novio
Morri+1/Nares/Galdr/Strendu
Romanus/Maniacus/Akasha/Morri+1
Obv latent on sorc ring or artemis necklace will occasionally be better, as will charged items (enm60 ammo)
More reasonably, replace romanus with searing, maniacus with othila or wanion to add a lot of macc back in. Morrigan Cuffs+1 are also a good macc-gain slot.
Once batallia meebles (probably) is released, there is a 3int+some_elemental skill grip that'll be more relevant, as well as the tauburn cape to cover all back cases - will be top macc and damage.
AM2 Laevateinn or Tuspmati will beat out magian if you can maintain the aftermath
Also Oreiad's Tathlum are thought to come from new meebles
Er yeah guess I copy pasted like an idiot lol. And yeah that's a good point. Might change strendu ring around too.
What number of objectives you clear has absolutely no effect on your boon. You always get level 1 boon after winning on any tier. then lvl 2 after winning a second time without the boon being wiped(by doing a boss). level 3 being earned by clearing a third time without your boons being wiped. The benefit of doing all three objectives is purely for points. If you don't care about points, do objective one and gtfo. however, I'm fairly convinced that even if you don't care about points right now, you might in a week or so.
How many people would it take at minimum to do Odin 75? Is it duo-able?
