As stated need a minimum of 6 to do the chamber. I've done it with 6 before, think setup was Ochain PLD THF BRD WHM(me) SCH + mule(think it was WHM), we had another DD but this person was stupid(for other reasons) and missed several farming runs, and waited till we broke lamp to realize they didn't have access. This was well before merit WS and Mark of Einherjar were added, and we killed Odin fine that day with just Almace + Evis doing damage.
The fights not hard, as long as you have a way to deal with the needles it's easy. Just getting the good body abj to load into pool that's annoying.
we did 3 pup 1 smn 1 whm 1 thief.
I'm sure its been asked, plenty of times...what are a couple of the known lowman (3-6) arch-omega and arch-ultima strats?
Just a week or so ago, I fought Proto-Omega with two other people. I went as BLM, and the other two were a WHM and WAR. The WAR didn't have any problem holding hate while I fed it gentle nukes (e.g., Blizzard III), nor did the WHM have any trouble healing them. After three nukes or so, it switched to its two-legged form, and while I did Stun its TP moves, the WAR killed it in a ridiculously short amount of time.
I understand that this account is barebones, but I promise you that it is truly that simple. There was never even the slightest threat of danger. Unless you bring a WHM that can't cure, you would probably have to have the worst luck in the world (or be borderline braindead) to die to that today.
Wow, arch-omega is that easy? Or did you mean proto-omega, kohan?(Lv75)
Arch Omega can be duoed with Drk + Sch, use hybrid PDT set, embrava, regen, phalanx and it hits for ~70 on 2 legs and ~100 on 4 legs so will need barely any curing. Can normally kill it around the time embrava wears off if you recast it just as rasa wears. Ride hasso and use twilight scythe for first 25% it is evasive so use pizza/sole sushi, remove blind in 2 leg form because its very potent. Mnk could probably do something similar but they would have a huge accuracy defecit over rag drk when in a pdt haste set.
Arch Ultima is same basic idea but take an extra DD (trioable) because its generally more dangerous and has seige. Ride hasso in hybrid gear, don't bother with phalanx since it will dispel and you have to run in range to cast it. Mages need to be 20+ from ultima AND melee, so mages will be out of casting range of ultima. Buster isn't threatening at all with capped MDT, seige can be outrun.
Which, if any, of the salvage II bosses (hq or nq) could I beat two boxing? mnk or ninja (emps, nni, appropriate pdt sets, etc) and whm or rdm mule (crap gear on both)?
Khim is the easiest by far, just idle the mage at 30.0+ below 50% and only run in for cures. A fulm on the mage probably means the end of the run for you; that paralyze is a real killer.
MNK should be ok if you full time counterstance, though I know some do fine without it.
Thanks, does the khim have regain? or can i time cures and stay out of range with pretty good predictability?
Arch-Omega: Something like three melees with Embrava was fine for winning. Did have DRKs and MNKs which I'm told is nice for the first 25%, never done it without sources of dmg for that phase. Very rarely saw gunpods at all most kills none spawned, few times 1 popped, at near the end of the fight so we didn't even touch them and just pushed Omega down. No clue if they'd be a problem normally. If you're really concerned, I'd imagine you could just bring a boxed smn for the last half of the fight and PD it, but out of handful of times I did Omega recently, my impression is you don't really need to think very hard about the fight. The status ailments (paralyze) was the most annoying part of the fight, didn't ever feel dangerous.
Arch-Ultima: Did it today with Four melees, sch, brd. Was a complete joke. Even with four melees feeding it TP, it didn't WS very frequently at all. Swung very slow with Elegy. Wire Cutter never one-shot anyone (we were running scherzo, though I've no real clue if it mattered). Citadel Buster didn't hurt anyone with MDT. Waterja after Catastrophic Malfunction did like 350-400 to most people with MDT. Outside of avoiding Citadel Siege, the fight felt like cruise control. Regen V did more of the healing than actual cure spells. Only ever done it once, but I didn't see anything today that gives me the impression you couldn't take two drks, sch, and brd and win easily provided people coordinate WS near it's Citadel Siege phase to get out of dodge in time. Energy Screen was very annoying to all the non-DRK melee, but that's more a convenience issue than a necessity of course.
I've done both Cerbs on NIN/THF boxing a BRD/WHM. It was a lesson in extreme boredom, cause of the PDT stuff, but there was never any danger at all with elegy and shadows. I'd imagine nin + rdm would be a fairly simple fight and far faster given the nukes. Khimaira is not at all dangerous. With shadows for sure you can easily idle the mage outside of fulmination range and come in for cures only after it TPs, which should give you an eternity to get back out of range before it TPs again.Which, if any, of the salvage II bosses (hq or nq) could I beat two boxing? mnk or ninja (emps, nni, appropriate pdt sets, etc) and whm or rdm mule (crap gear on both)?
EDIT: No clue if it has regain, I'd guess no, but even if it does, it's not significant enough you couldn't run in, cure, paralyna, and run back out in time. In my normal runs with friends, I play SCH, toss an Embrava, and afk out of range. There are usually 2-3 melees on it, and I've never had it Fulmination me before I could get out of range.
The hardest part about arch omega is the double tp move thing. But that's mostly a problem if you feed it tp with too many melees on it at once. And even then PD fixes that (actually embrava mostly does lol)
