How awful is Dynamis - Tavnazia? The opportunity to farm two pieces of AF2 at once is appealing but is it split amongst EP/DC? (It appears that Hydras are EP and Kindred are DC?) Should I not bother going in solo and wait for bros? On the topic of Dynamis, what's the best way to get EXP in there for trials? I assume fighting the high level mobs w/ exp ring?

This probably varies by server but what's my best use of Kindred Seal/Crests etc? >_>

The only flourishes I use on DNC are Reverse and Violent. Kleos -> Reverse -> Evisceration = Darkness. There are probably better dancers out there who can probably help you micromanage steps if need be, but that's my basic go-to.

DynaTav: Body pieces drop from DC mobs (Clusters, Leeches), leg pieces drop from EP mobs (Makara, Bees, Worms). If there's more than a single BST in DynaTav, it's going to be difficult because it just doesn't have the room. For EXP purposes, yeah, you want to kill the highest tier mob possible as fast as possible.

Kindred Seal/Crests go for KS99s and get Behe/Faf/Adamantoise pops.

Most of the time I've found self SC on DNC in dynamis to be overkill. I just do Wild -> Extenterator, and that does the job, and leaves me with more F.Moves to spend on procing the next mob.

in NNI what temps should be used where if you were to hit fl80 and wanted to still be able to hit fl100?

Can use fana on 80, if its spamming wings. I preferred to save it for 100 to block thundris shriek, and bilgestorm too i think.

So I've been playing on and off for the past year and a half and have sort of stopped paying attention to the optimal gear for dnc since it's been hardly useable in the past 2 major content systems. Now I've getting back into it for salvage since its at least passable for it. Byrths ffxiah seems out of date and the official forums dnc section is basically dead, I was wondering what the high end dnc sets (tp march, tp no march, exent, rudras) look like now. I can more or less get anything except hexed -1 and some of the more annoying abyssea stuff to.

Also as a side note what order should I be picking up skadi+1 in if dnc is the only job I'll be using it for?

In regards to WHM Maat fight, I just did it a month ago on my Salvage entrance mule, and I doubt HP cured is the requirement to win, as I just ran circles around him and barely took any damage (it's a mule-mule, no skill, no gear, bought Cure spells just for the fight). Maybe curing that amount will end it faster, I dunno.

If doing it legitimately, buy a Hi-Potion tank or two for an easy guaranteed win.

If you keep up with the DNC thread on XIAH you'll generally get an idea of what gear is good/best. Can also PM Byrth like someone else suggested.

Definitely time based. There might be a cure-based way of winning, but I doubt it. I just clipped around for a few minutes on my mule.

Pretty much this. I think it's 5 minutes, but I wasn't sure so I didn't clarify. You can also fight him normally...but I think most of the people doing the fight [especially these days] don't have the combat skills and such to really kill him in 5 minutes.
