Tried capping out amber before I started full-force farming, compared to what I got when amber was either capped, or only 120ish~ it actually went very well:

Before I capped amber the -3% PDT, -2% MDT rign was the ost stat combination I got to drop.

After, I got a (6% BDT, 1% MDT) (5% PDT, 3% MDT), and a (3% BDT, 3% PDT, 3% Enemy crit rate)
now true none of them are top tier but seeing as how they are already light years ahead of what I was getting before, I will definitely keep capping amber before I farm.

Granted I may have just gotten lucky, but I feel you may be on to something with your theory about capped amber helping the quality of Dark Rings obtained. Thank you so much for your help.

When I run FFXI sandboxed anytime I enter anything (chat or game command) it automatically unloads spellcast. Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? I tried searching but I couldn't figure it out.

Carbuncle is by far the most populated Ballista server, we play only 60 cap Ballista here though. Official matches in JP time are usually 20-40 people, all of the long time veteran Ballista players play on Carbuncle, the players here are seriously good.

Lakshmi is the uncapped Ballista server, and I think some 60 caps happen as well. They don't have the population Carbuncle has however.

A month or two ago a small Ballista linkshell started up on Fenrir. I'm not sure if they fell apart or not, their website is here: http://z13.invisionfree.com/BallistalnSession

Ayerro started that linkshell, you can try PMing them on FFXIAH as well.

I assume you need something like

Snapshot precast
TP Gear (X-hit + low/high acc/attack?)
WS Gear (low/high acc/attack?)

gonna have to say while i can confirm carbuncle being the premier 60cap server and lakshmi being the premier uncapped server, i am gonna have to say i have not witnessed a large 60cap showing on carby...yet. and, lakshmi's 99s can actually get up there (highest i've seen recently was 15v15 on a weekend in jugner).

done both thf/nin + rdm/whm, TH gear and an eva dagger, eva merits, boxers, eva torque, somewhat lolthf. even whm can probably land debuffs at 99. i kept slow/blind up and only used para when terrored in case he started building resistance, but i was really being overcautious. his acc is already floored or really close so blind isn't all that big a help. i would sub rdm just incase mp becomes an issue as they are somewhat long fights with just a thf on them, but this could be me wanting to be overcautious again, /sch would most likely be just fine. a few times nid had me down to 200~ hp from a lucky crit after he used wing, but i managed ~10 fafs and 2 nids and never wiped. fights were in the 10-20 min range, gotta love hitting TH12 tho

Very easy duo. Fafnir you could solo, Nidhogg I'd bring a WHM. (a good THF could probably solo both NP)

10 in the diorama, 45 participating in Jugner forest as of 5 minutes ago. They get fairly large during the weekends, JP time of course. The highest I have seen is 12 participating in the diorama, 8 viewing (this was during an NA vs JP game) and 30 v 30 during a Pashow Marshlands match, Saturday, JP time. (8AM MNT)

question about bst pet lvl cap and merits: I have 5 merits in jug pet lvl (should be +10 lvls) now how does this work, for example the rapter is lvl 94 cap (listed on wiki), now does this mean that I will need the full merits to reach this lvl 94 cap or will the merits be added after the "wiki cap" which would be lvl 94 + 10 from merits = 99cap?
